It was evening time when Mo Shan left for another city. Yun Xi even walked him to the gate and told him not to worry too much and that everything would be fine. Mo Shan leaned in and gave her a kiss before getting into the car.

Yun Xi continued standing outside even after the car drove off. Though she told him not to worry and all, she could not bring herself to feel cheerful as usual. At that moment, she realized the importance of Mo Shan's presence in her life. She was already used to his presence by her side all the time. "The separation is going to be difficult," she whispered, looking at the leaving car.

"Xiao Xi, it's cold outside. Come in," Old Master Mo called her seeing her lonely back.

Yun Xi hurriedly managed her emotions and turned back to smile at Old Master Mo. "Coming, grandpa." She shouted back, walking in.

After having dinner, everyone went back to their rooms as the weather was turning chilly. Mother Mo followed Yun Xi to her room much to Father Mo's disappointment.

Seeing Father Mo's expression, Yun Xi chuckled and said, "Mom, you don't really have to accompany me. If I need anything, I can just call someone." But Mother Mo refused her idea. "No, I am going to accompany you, and I am not hearing 'No'."

Yun Xi sighed and gave her father-in-law a small smile, which Father Mo returned. Anyway, there was nothing he could do as his wife was adamant about her decision.

Entering the room, Mother Mo went to prepare the bath for Yun Xi, while Yun Xi's gaze was on her cell phone. She was waiting for Mo Shan's call. Mo Shan had promised to call her as soon as he lands. And Yun Xi knew that he would be arriving there soon. So, she was intently waiting for him to call.

As she was waiting, she started to feel some contractions on her lower belly, but she ignored them thinking that they will go away. It did go away, but after some interval, it started again. Yun Xi did not really care much about it as it was normal and the doctor had also said so.

"Xiao Xi, the bath is ready," Mother Mo called her just then to have a bath.

"I am coming, Mom." She announced. She still carried the cellphone because she did not want to miss Mo Shan's call even when she was in the bath.

But just as she stood up, she felt immense pain from her stomach suddenly. She bit her lips and grabbed her stomach by one hand while taking the wall's support from another one.

That was the scene that greeted Mother Mo when she walked out to check why Yun Xi was taking so long. All colors drained out from her face when she saw Yun Xi closing her eyes in pain.

"Xiao Xi," she shouted in alert, rushing towards her daughter-in-law to hold her. "What happened?"

"I don't know. The contraction this time is too strong and it hurts." Yun Xi replied, trying to sit down. But Mother Mo grabbed her hand tightly and said, "It's not time to sit. Let's go to the hospital. What if the baby is coming out?"

Yun Xi thought that her mother-in-law was overacting because of worry. "Mom, my water hasn't even broken. I think it is just normal contraction." But just then, she felt something flowing down her legs. At first, she thought she had peed or something, but there was no smell.

Mother Mo also saw her clothes getting wet, and her eyes widened in shock. "I think your water just broke."

"What?" questioned Yun Xi. She also started feeling scared after that and gripped the cell phone in her hand tightly.

"Xinsheng (Father Mo), Mo Sheng, quickly come here." Mother Mo shouted at top of her lungs.

None of them were asleep yet as they just got into the room. Hearing Mother Mo's shout and knowing that she was with Yun Xi, they hurriedly ran to their room. They were worried that something happened to Yun Xi in Mo Shan's absence.

Mo Sheng arrived first and asked while trying to get the breaths, "What happened?"

"Quick, hold your sister-in-law. Her water just broke. Also, get someone to get the car." Mother Mo ordered her youngest son. Hearing her words, Mo Sheng blanked out. He was facing such situation for the first time, so he did not know what to do.

"Are you a dummy or what? Quick, hold her." Mother Mo shouted at him. Only then did he come back to his sense. He hastened his steps towards Yun Xi and held her hand with one hand and waist with another hand.

Father Mo also arrived there, and when he saw the situation, she ran downstairs to drive the car. Mother Mo walked to the closet and got the bag that Mo Shan and Yun Xi had packed for the time of delivery.

Mo Sheng slowly guided Yun Xi downstairs. Yun Xi also walked down easily as the contraction stopped for a while. But when they reached the car, it started again, and she held the car's door for support. Mo Sheng's face whitened when he saw Yun Xi gripping the door tightly. He did not know what to do.

Mother Mo got beside them just then and slapped the back of his head. "Useless!" she muttered while helping Yun Xi to get in.

Mo Sheng did not think much of his mother's word and hurriedly got into the front passenger seat. After everyone was seated, Father Mo drove off.

Old Master Mo had also heard Mother Mo's shout earlier and came out of his room to know the situation. But before he could get it, they had driven off. A maid walked to him and explained everything.

"What are you doing then? Get the car. We are also going to the hospital." Old Master Mo nearly screamed at the maid. The maid jumped back in fear as she had never seen her master like that before.

Butler Li saw the scene and shook his head. He hurriedly walked to them and said, "Master, I have ordered our driver to get the car. Let's go."

Old Master Mo scrambled to the door after hearing that. "Call Mo Shan. Tell him to come back this instant," he ordered.

"But Young Master must be in flight right now." Butler Li said.

"I don't care. Keep trying till the call gets through."

Butler Li nodded and followed him out.

At Mother Mo's side, she quickly called Yun Xi's doctor and told her everything.

"Mrs. Mo, don't fret. I am still in the hospital. Bring Yun Xi here. Can you please put the call in speaker?" she asked as she wanted to calm Yun Xi.

Mother Mo did as she said.

The doctor's voice came through the speaker, "Yun Xi, don't get scared. You remember what you learned in the class, right? Just take deep breaths to calm yourself. Even after the water breaks, it may take up to 48 hrs for the baby to arrive. Think of what you learned in class. Relax!"

Yun Xi really calmed down, listening to the doctor's words.

The doctor hung up after saying a few more words to ready everything that will be needed. Yun Xi was their VVIP patient, so no negligence was allowed. After giving the orders, she walked out to wait for Yun Xi's arrival.

In the car, Mo Sheng cursed under his breath, "Fuck! How can we calm down in this situation?" The remaining people in the car were also feeling the same.

"Xiao Xi, you are arriving soon at the hospital." Mother Mo continued consoling Yun Xi.

After fifteen minutes, they reached the hospital. Yun Xi was walked into the private VVIP ward as soon as she got there. Everyone else was told to wait outside as the doctor checked on her inside.

"The dilation is only around 5cm. Your cervix needs to be dilated up to 10cm before giving birth. There is still time left, around 4-5 hours. Continue walking around the hospital and climbing the stairs so that it speeds up. There will be contractions in between, but don't be scared of it. You and baby both are completely healthy. We are also here. Everything will be fine." With a few more courageous words, the doctor sent Yun Xi for a walk, with a nurse following behind.

Mother Mo supported Yun Xi as she walked around slowly. When a contraction starts, they would stand still for a while till it goes away and then resumes their walking again.

Father Mo and Mo Sheng did not dare to leave them alone, so they were trailed behind them.
