It was 5:00 pm, time to get off from work. Yun Xi was happy since she finished designing cufflinks and bracelets. She was satisfied with the designs too. She was yet to decide the type of diamond she was going to use for cufflinks and bracelets. She wanted the color of the stones to match the dress code. So, she decided to first talk with family members about the color code of dress then decide the diamonds for them.

She was about to call Mo Shan to go home together, but she felt sad when she remembered that he was still angry with her. She was not sure if calling him was the right thing to do because, as a CEO, he must be busy. And, she knew that he did not have the privilege of getting off from work earlier like ordinary employees.

As she was fidgeting in her decisions, a knock sounded on the door. She shouted, "Come in."

The door opened and in came Assistant Zhang with a fawning smile pasted on his face. Yun Xi was confused as to why he was grinning from ear to ear while looking at her.

She subconsciously touched her face and asked, "Assistant Zhang, why are you acting like that? Is there something on my face?"

Assistant Zhang hurriedly shook his and fawningly said, "How could that be, lady boss? You look pretty anytime anyhow." With that, he began giggling just like little girls.

Yun Xi didn't know what to do. She really didn't understand what Assistant Zhang wanted to do. Just when she was about to speak, Assistant Zhang beat her to it. "Lady boss, Boss is waiting for you to return home. Are you done with your work?"

Yun Xi nodded at him and got up from her seat. She didn't forget to lock her designs in a locker. She knew that even if she didn't do it, her designs would be safe. But, as people said, "Prevention is better than cure." After making sure that it is properly locked, she followed Assistant Zhang outside.

Mo Shan was still not outside, so it was only her and Assistant Zhang.

"Lady Boss, Boss has just some works left which will be done in about 5 minutes. Should we wait here or wait in the car?" Assistant Zhang asked Yun Xi.

Yun Xi thought for a while and replied, "Let's wait here." He was already angry with her. What if she makes him even angrier? So, she decided to wait for him there.

Assistant Zhang smiled secretly at her words. His plan was moving on point. After a while, he whispered to Yun Xi, "Lady Boss, Boss looked a bit sad and hurt earlier. Did you say something to him?" Assistant Zhang even made sure to sound pitiful to make Yun Xi more guilty.

As he expected, Yun Xi was feeling guilty and even chided herself inwardly. It's all your fault. Why did you run off your mouth like that? Now, make sure to apologize to him properly.

Assistant Zhang observed the change in Yun Xi's face. Her expression was enough for him to understand that his plan was going well. Just then, he heard Yun Xi ask, "Really?"

Assistant Zhang's eyes lit up at her question and spoke, "Of course. I haven't seen this look on Boss's face in a long time. Lady Boss, did you really say something hurtful to Boss?"

Yun Xi was about to say something when she heard the door opening. She looked back to find that Mo Shan walking out. She ignored Assistant Zhang and directly rushed to Mo Shan. She didn't speak anything, just took Mo Shan's hand into hers and smiled at him.

Mo Shan was stunned. This was the first time Yun Xi took the initiative to hold his hand. When he saw her rushing towards him, he was confused at first. He could not fathom her intention. But when he saw her smiling like that, he knew she was feeling sorry. The corner of his lips twitched seeing her cute behavior.

Still, he didn't speak anything and just continued to act cold. But he let her hold his hand. Why would he not? He was enjoying her warmth.

Assistant Zhang patted himself in his mind for his mind-blowing act. Hehe, no one can stop me from getting a double bonus this month.

After they got off from the elevator downstairs, many employees were secretly looking at them. Yun Xi was feeling embarrassed by all their gazes. She wanted to pull her hand from Mo Shan's but later thought of better. If she did that, she would only be adding fuel to his anger. So, she just ignored everyone's gazes.

Mo Shan was once again surprised by her act. He didn't expect her to keep holding his hands at all. It came as a surprise to him, and now he wanted to see what else she would do to appease him.

Employees began gossiping after the couple left. Their boss never got off from work this early. He set a record this time, so they were bound to be bewildered.

Outside, the car drove away amongst all the whispers and gazes. Assistant Zhang, who was driving the car, raised the partition mischievously to block his sight from the couples sitting in the back. Because the next scene happening behind might not be suitable for him to watch.

Yun Xi’s face turned red seeing his obvious act. What did he mean by raising the partition? It’s not like she was going to do something unsuitable. She was just trying to apologize, alright? Was there a need for him to do that?

Mo Shan caught the sight of Yun Xi fidgeting her fingers in nervousness from the corner of his eyes. But he pretended not to notice it and ignored her.

Yun Xi finally could not bear it anymore and slowly inched closer towards him. Mo Shan’s determination was waning off, and nearly forgave her instantly, but he controlled himself at the last moment. He then closed his eyes decisively. Out of sight, out of mind.

Yun Xi pouted when she saw Mo Shan's action but still didn’t give up. She then gently covered the back of his hand with her palm and continued staring at him.

Five minutes passed just like that, and with the time, Mo Shan's composure was also weakening.

After 7 full minutes, he finally couldn't bear it. Mo Shan opened his eyes and looked at Yun Xi. "What is it?" He sighed.

Yun Xi pinched her earlobes with her fingers in apologetic manners and mouthed, "Sorry."

Mo Shan was going to pull her in his arms that instant when an idea struck in his mind. He then playfully pointed at his lips indicating that he wanted a kiss.

Yun Xi, of course, caught his intention, but she had no other choice than fulfilling his request if she wanted to appease him. Moreover, she did not mind giving him some pecks since they are already husband and wife. So, she inched closer to him and gave him a peck on the corner of his lips. She got away from him soon after giving him a peck.

Mo Shan was not satisfied with a slight peck, so he pulled her directly closer to him, grasped her cheeks, and gave her a long, deep kiss. He only let go of her when she started feeling breathless. Seeing that she didn’t hate it, Mo Shan went for another kiss.

Yun Xi finally understood why Assistant Zhang had raised the partition. She was panting hard after Mo Shan let her go. She was now feeling glad that he did so. Otherwise, she would have been thoroughly embarrassed. She had been surprised when he suddenly kissed her, so she could not react in time. She even forgot to breathe at that time. But when she thought about it now, she didn’t hate it. Just when she was thinking, she was once again showered with his kisses.

This time, she thoroughly enjoyed it and even tried to reciprocate it back, but she was a little clumsy in her actions.

Mo Shan felt her trying to imitate and reciprocate, so he slowed down on his actions to make her lead. Yun Xi was learning well and their kisses turned deeper and deeper. At last, Mo Shan broke it and hugged her close to his chest. Yun Xi hide her face in his chest feeling embarrassed.
