After the lunch was over, Mo Shan walked out without speaking a word. Yun Xi knew she really made him angry this time. But what she said earlier was not completely wrong. He had already done so much for her and her child’s sake. So, she did not want him to abandon his work just to accompany them to the hospital.

Although Yun Xi thought like that, she still felt warmth creeping into her heart.

“I will apologize to him later”, she thought. She then cleaned the dishes from the table.

After that, she again was completely immersed in her work. She just felt so peaceful working in that office.

Just when she finally finished designing the set of bracelets, she heard the door open.

Assistant Zhang entered with some other staff holding boxes in their hands. “This is…” Yun Xi spoke.

Assistant Zhang respectfully answered, “Mrs. Mo, these are the final sets of stones which arrived just now.”

The staff carrying the boxes were stunned when they heard Assistant Zhang addressing Yun Xi as Mrs. Mo. They realized that the rumors of their president bringing a girl with him were not false. But they were confused as to why their lady was in their office. Moreover, she even had her own lounge which looked prosperous just like their CEO’s.

Just when they were thinking, Assistant Zhang carried forward something in his hand and place it on Yun Xi’s table. The thing was none other than a nameplate which Yun Xi had asked to change. The new nameplate clearly spelled, “CHIEF JEWELRY DESIGNER.” Below the position, it contained her alias name “SX.”

The staff gasped when they saw that nameplate. Their lady boss was chief jewelry?

Yun Xi also heard their gasp and saw their surprised reaction. She wanted to laugh at their expression but did not dare to as she was going to work in the same office as them.

Assistant Zhang glared at the staff which made them cower. They all greeted Yun Xi, “Good afternoon, Lady Boss.” Only then Assistant Zhang was satisfied with them.

Yun Xi nodded at them and said, “Leave all these boxes in the second partition. I will classify and arrange them by myself. Thank you all for your hard work.”

The staffs were now even more surprised when they heard their lady boss speaking to them in such a gentle voice. They thought that she would act all arrogant but what they saw was the opposite demeanor.

They then walked to the second partition of the room and placed all those boxes carefully. They could not afford it if any of the stones were misplaced as they were all very valuable.

They immediately retreated after placing them there. They were very eager to gossip about what they just saw, so immediately rushed out from Yun Xi’s cabin after bowing to her.

Assistant Zhang walked out after exchanging some pleasantries with Yun Xi. Instead of returning to his duties, Assistant Zhang walked to Mo Shan’s office.

“Is it done?” Mo Shan asked him.

“Yes, boss. The nameplate has been changed and the last batch of stones also arrived.” But Assistant Zhang was confused as to his boss asked him to help Yun Xi instead of going by himself. Because as far as he knew, his boss was just seeking for excuse every time to meet the lady boss.

A bizarre thought occurred in his mind, “Could it be that the two of them fought with each other?”

He could not hold his curiosity anymore and ask, “Boss, did you fight with lady boss?”

The result of his curiosity was an icy glare from his boss. Assistant Zhang cowered in fear from his boss’s cold glare and hurriedly replied, “Hehe… I did not ask anything. It’s nothing.” He slapped his mouth for not controlling his words and curiosity.

“Boss, I have other works to do. I will be going now”, he said trying to scurry away from his boss’s presence.

But before he could leave, a cold voice sounded from behind. “Did I allow you to leave?”

Assistant Zhang now wanted to cry badly for offending his boss. He gritted his teeth and faced Mo Shan, “Sorry boss. I thought you wanted me to leave since you did not say anything. I mistakenly took your silence as approval.”

Mo Shan was tapping his desk in frustration. After a moment of silence, he murmured to himself, “Does she detest my presence?”

Still, Assistant Zhang heard him with his sensitive, clever ears.

“Huh? Boss, who dares to detest you?”

And, the yet another glare which made Assistant Zhang completely shut up.

Finally Mo Shan could not bear it by himself, so he asked, “Assistant Zhang, I told Yun Xi that I will accompany her for check-ups but she rejected me. Why? I was doing it for her own good.”

Assistant Zhang finally got an answer to his question and asked, “Boss, did the lady boss outrightly reject you?”

Mo Shan recalled Yun Xi’s words and said, “No, she said I didn’t need to do that since I have lots of works and will be busy. So, she said I don’t have to accompany her. But why does she need to think about all that since I have already decided to accompany her?” Mo Shan was really confused.

Assistant Zhang shook his head at his boss’s low EQ and wanted to slap him for the first time. He really overestimated his boss’s EQ. He replied while sighing out loud, “Boss, try to think from lady boss’s place too. Nowadays, rich people like you don’t get enough time to visit the hospital with their wives. They mostly send the nannies with them. So, lady boss must have thought that it will be wrong to disturb you since you have lots of work on your hand.”

He continued, “Moreover, lady boss and you didn’t get married in normal circumstances, so she did not want to interfere in your life. She might also have been afraid that you will get sick of her if she keeps on pestering you. So, she just wanted to give you some space.”

Mo Shan was stunned at Assistant Zhang’s words. He never thought of that. So, he skeptically asked, “Really?”

Assistant Zhang fawned over him. “Of course, boss. As far as I have known lady boss, she will be apologizing to you soon. But I don’t think it’s her mistake completely. You were in wrong too, boss. So, you should apologize to her too.”

“What? Do you think I can’t apologize? Hmph, of course, I will since I realized I am at fault too”, Mo Shan replied. “But, if it really as you said and she apologizes, then your bonus of this year will be raised”, Mo Shan added.

Assistant Zhang was in clouds nine now hearing about the bonus. He thought Yun XI was not only his lady boss but also his lady luck. She has just visited the office once and he got an increase in bonus. “Thank you, thank you, boss”, he bowed down repeatedly to Mo Shan.

“From now on, I have to serve lady boss better”, he thought and walked out of Mo Shan’s office excitedly.
