I rapidly arose from my supine position. As I gazed around, sweat beads dripped down my brow. My heart was pounding in my chest. I was having a nightmare. I gulped hard and realized I was in a nipa hut. When I felt something fall off my body, I looked down. The herbal that covered my body had fallen off. Someone... cleaned me up. Herbs and bandages were used to hide the injuries on my body. My blood was nowhere to be found. Except for the serious pain in my entire body, I am absolutely clean.

When someone entered the Nipa hut, I stopped looking around. I stiffened when I saw the girl in my dream. I wasn't having hallucinations. She was the last person I saw before passing out! Her surprise was visible on her face. She had no idea I was awake now. She's a little girl. I can't believe that he put these herbs on me.

"I'm glad you're fine..." she whispered softly. I'm not sure why, but something about her voice soothes me. She approached me. When her features became more apparent to me, I clenched my teeth. That blonde hair... those green eyes... make me think of Prince Henry. As wrath powered my system, I balled my fist. I was unable to think clearly. My body moved by itself. I snatched her neck and pinned her to the wall. She appears shocked, and fear may be seen in her eyes.

I'm seeing red. I cinched my grip on her. I didn't mind that she was choking. All I felt was fury and hatred. I couldn't help but see red when I remembered what happened in those assholes' arms. I'll make sure to kill everyone who has ever done me wrong. I'll make certain they don't live any longer. I'll make them regret allowing me to live.

"P-Please... l-let go..." her straining voice chilled me. I let go, and she quickly slid to the ground. She coughed and clutched her throat. I closed my eyes hard and left her there without saying anything. I shouldn't be squandering my time. I need to return to the palace and inform my father of what happened.

Many people were startled when I returned to the palace. They had no idea I was still alive. My mother burst into tears when she saw me standing in front of her, while my father stared in astonishment.

"Prince Henry is a traitor..." I declared in front of my father. I noticed a glimmer of pain in his eyes. I'm sure he wasn't expecting what he heard from me. He had protected Prince Henry over Dylan, and he couldn't believe Prince Henry would betray him now.

"A-Are you sure—"

"Are you doubting me, Father?" I inquired. He squeezed his eyes shut. I kept a stern stare on him. Many people believe my father and I look identical, but we have quite different views in every way. I will never be like him. He's too soft to be a ruler. Being gentle and polite will make you look stupid in front of everyone.

"I told you, Erick! All of this is happening to your child because of the decision you made back then!" Mother sobbed.

"From now on, I will take over the investigation," I stated, noticing my father's surprise.

"But... Greyson, you're still young! Allow your father—"

"No, Mother. I can do this," I interrupted her. I took one last look at my father. I know he still doesn't believe what I told him. He is still hopeful that Prince Henry will not harm him. Nobody can stop me now. I'm determined to exact my vengeance and make Dylan pay for what he did to me.

Everyone knew what had happened to me. As a result, the entire population of the North Snow Kingdom turned against the Rema Kingdom. My father informed me that Prince Henry wishes to speak with me. But I declined. I'm going to conduct my own investigation without consulting anyone. I'm confident in my abilities.

"What exactly is it?" I inquired of the royal guard. He bowed to me before saying, "The welcoming of the Betas will begin now, your Highness." I followed him with a nod. And it was then that I met Miguel Ramirez, who will be my companion until I take the throne.

Every day, the animosity between Rema and North Snow Kingdom became stronger. And every day I am doing my investigation... I'm beginning to distrust Prince Henry's motives. I feel like... Something is not right. I feel like I am missing something.

I feel like Dylan is scheming something. He wanted me to believe that the Rema Kingdom was to blame for everything. "No! Greyson! Let our men do the work! Or let Rema do the work! Princess Harper has nothing to do with us! Why would you save her—"

"It's not about the Princess, Mother; it's about Dylan, who intends to foment conflict between Rema and the North Snow Kingdom; if I don't do this, the conflict between Rema and the North Snow Kingdom will worsen!"

"If you had believed me when I said Prince Henry had nothing to do with it all, it wouldn't have come to this!" Father stated, putting the blame on me. I clenched my teeth and gazed at him. He is, in some ways, correct. But I couldn't let myself agree with him. I know I was quick to blame Prince Henry just because I was angry. I was so hurt and traumatized at the time that I blamed everything on him.

"I'm going now," I murmured gently, and I was about to walk away when Father said something.

"Can you really do this? You can't even awaken your wolf. How can you fight, Greyson?" he questioned.

I clenched my teeth. I looked at Miguel who was patiently waiting for me.

"I can fight without my wolf, Father; I don't rely solely on my wolf; my sword is powerful enough to kill someone," I stated emphatically. I silently exited the room without looking back. Mother was crying, but I couldn't comfort her right now. This is something I must do. I need to kill Dylan and exact my revenge for what he did to me. And I'm aware that I'm also accountable of what's happening in the Rema Kingdom. That is why... I'm going to save their princess.
