Serena forced herself to smile eventhough Kathy kept on filling her plate with lots of food.

She also felt that there's someone missing at the table...She then realized that Chelsea hasn't arrived yet.

"Uh...Aren't we suppose to wait for Chelsea to arrive?" she suddenly asked.

Serena discreetly looked at Gale. His face is expressionless,while eating in a calm manner.

"She has a meeting with her agent." he answered,while shrugging his shoulders.

"Oh,right. She once told me that she's planning to try her luck at London's West End...I'm just wondering if you're ready for a long-distance relationship set up with her." Kathy piped in.

"Don't you think it's a little too personal to talk about my relationship with Chelsea? Today is your birthday,so this is supposed to be your special day." Gale tried to change the topic.

"I'm just concerned about you,Gale. I just don't want you to get hurt." Kathy reasoned out.

"Let him handle his own problems,Kathy. Gale's old enough to deal with it."  Liam tried to be a referee between his wife and grandson.

And with that,Kathy and Gale ate in silence.

Serena's heart suddenly went out for Gale. It's obvious that he's putting a lot of effort to make his relationship with Chelsea work,but somehow,she can also understand Chelsea. As an aspiring theater actress,it would be their greatest dream to perform in a diverse audience from different parts of the world...

The mood suddenly went ice cold,so she decided to break the silence.

"Your dishes tastes so divine,Kathy! Did you really do it all by yourself? Where and when did you learn to cook?" she chirped.

Kathy lets out a big smile,and she started talking about her cooking adventures. She then stole a quick glance on Gale,and she was surprised to see that he was looking at her as well. He smiled a little,and he mouthed the words "Thank you" before putting his attention back to his plate of food.

Serena wasn't able to understand what Kathy was saying anymore,because of what Gale did to her...

It was already 11 pm when the party was finished. Kathy was already a bit drunk because of drinking too much wine,and Liam decided to call it a night. But before Liam and Kathy could go upstairs to take a rest,they asked Gale to drive her home.

Serena was about to say that she can go home by hailing a cab,but Gale quickly agreed to his grandparents' request.

The next thing she knew,they were already inside the car and Gale was driving.

"Well? Aren't you going to ask me some questions?" Gale suddenly spoke.

Serena was surprised by Gale's question.

"About what?" she asked back,while looking confused.

"About me and Chelsea? I mean, I don't want to sound so conceited,but for the passed few weeks,you're obviously not thrilled about me and Chelsea dating each other." he responded.

Serena wasn't expecting this kind of question from Gale... But she won't back down...
