Serena took a deep calming breath while she was standing by the door. She's now at Liam and Kathy Hamilton's house,and she was invited by Kathy because she's celebrating her birthday by having a small dinner party. It was Kathy's first plan for her to get back together with Gale.
She conciously touched her hair to see if it was still in place and she smoothened her one piece velvet blue dress. She then looked at her black minaudière bag to check if her gift for Kathy is inside. Her gift for het is a brooch in a shape of the musical note "La."
Kathy's fond of musicals,so that's why che chose this brooch for her.
"Okay,Serena. You can do this." she said to herself.
She knocked on the door and after three knocks,the door finally opened.
Serena's eyes widened in surprise when she saw Gale standing by the door. She didn't expect him to open the door,and she wasn't ready to see him rightaway.
"What are you doing here?" Gale asked,while looking surprised as well.
Serena was about to answer,but she wasn't able to do so because Kathy was already behind Gale.
"That was a rude question,Gale! I invited Serena to come to my birthday party,so she's my very special guest!" Kathy stated,and she quickly pulled Serena inside the house.
Meanwhile,Gale was just helplessy looking at his Grandma and Serena...
"Thank you for coming tonight,Serena. It really means a lot to me. By the way,I believe you've already met my husband,Liam Hamilton? You've met at Elizabeth's Musical Gala Night,right?" Kathy graciously introduced Serena again to her husband.
"Yes.Hello again,Mr.Hamilton." Serena greeted Gale's grandfather.
"Oh,please,let's drop the formalities. You can just call me Liam." the old man smilingly responded.
"Thank you for inviting me to your lovely home,Liam and Kathy." Serena thanked the couple again. She knows Elizabeth and Walter will be happy to know that Liam and Kathy ended up together. And she knows that Elizabeth and Walter is now at peace in heaven.
"My pleasure,Serena. Alrighty,we can start our dinner party right now!" Kathy excitedly announced.
"I thought you'll have many guests at your party,Kathy?" Serena asked,while looking confused. She can see four plates and glasses on the table,and it was clear to see that Kathy didn't prepare a big birthday party...
"Oh,sudden change of plan. I'm too old for big parties so that's why I've decided to have an intimate dinner party. Just for the people who are important to me." Kathy replied,while giving Serena a knowing smile.
"You changed your mind quickly,Nana." Gale stated,in a matter-of-factly tone.
At the same time,Liam faked a cough,as he was trying to send a secret message to his grandson.
"Let's not waste our time talking about nonsensical things. Let's all sit down and have a peaceful dinner,shall we?" Kathy suggested.
All of them sat on the table.
"I want you to try my specialty. This is my family's favorite dish,and it's called Maple-Thyme roast chicken. Try this and tell me what you think." Kathy chirped as she puts a sliced chicken meat on Serena's plate.
