After a few days...
She and Walter are having a dinner at a fancy restaurant inside the hotel, which is owned by his family...
Walter reserved the whole restaurant, so they are the only people in that place.
They are now eating desserts, but Serena doesn't have the appetite. She's feeling nervous and worried... She's been rehearsing the things she wanted to say to Walter.
"You don't look alright, darling. You're not eating that much and you're just staring at your chocolate mousse." Walter stated, while observing her.
"I just feel a little tired, I guess."
"You know what, I prepared something that might make you feel better..." Walter can't hide his excitement. He gave a signal to one of the restaurant staff, who's waiting for his orders.
"Actually, I need to tell you something important, Walter." Serena tried to speak, but Walter hushed her.
"Can't it wait later? I really want to give something."
The maître d' walked towards their table,while holding a larged-sized blue velvet box. He gave the box to Walter, and then he puts it on top of the table.
"Open it,darling." Walter smilingly suggested.
Serena slowly opened the box, and she gasped in disbelief when she saw the familiar, sparkling necklace. The blue sapphire pendant adorned with small diamonds are amazingly exquisite.
Her mind made an instant flashback while staring at the necklace
"I-I think I've seen this necklace somewhere..." she remembered saying it before her performance.
"Yes. This is my Nana's favorite necklace, and it was given to her by my great great grandfather. She always wears this in her after-party performances." she can clearly hear Gale's voice...
And she finally realized that she terribly miss Gale.
Her eyes started to water when she remembered Gale...
"Oh,darling. I didn't know my gift can make you cry... I'm happy that you liked it. Here,let me put it on you." Walter spoke.
Serena's finding it hard to speak because she's overwhelmed by the fact that she miss Gale, and there's no doubt that she's inlove with him.
"There. You look as beautiful as this necklace, sweetheart. From now on, this sapphire necklace will be passed down from generations to another generation. It will be our family's heirloom... Our future son or daughter will pass this heirloom to their children and their grandchildren and great grandchildren. I can't wait to see our future baby..." Walter emotionally said, and he suddenly touched Serena's belly.
"I'm sorrry, I don't understand... What are you talking about? And why are you touching my stomach?" Serena interrogated, and she feels like something is about to happen.
"Maybe it's the hormones that's why you've been acting a little strange lately... We're going to have a baby soon, so that's why you need to get married as soon as possible!" Walter finally revealed.
Serena's whole body froze, trying to process Walter's revelation in his mind. And now, it's all making sense. Now she knows why she loves staring at Walter's blue eyes... Now she knows why she feels an affinity towards this man...
Walter Hayes was Gale's grandfather!
