While Matilda was being lowered, Uncle Edmonton left with Sir Rocky to where I don't know and I seriously don't give a fuck. That Rocky man can go to hell I don't care.

"We're super late for the run, I think you should go back to the palace before Maryline notice your absence. We will run some other time." she says it to Eve yet she doesn't mean it.

"Are you going home?" I ask not minding what she just said. "No, I'm going to check on the others at the run site." she retorts. "Then I'm coming with you, and please don't try to stop me." I cry out.

"Okay, - Okay!" she lifts her hands in defeat without fighting, then we move away.

"Girl you definitely have to do something about this." I lift my brow in confusion as Matilda's words breaks the silence. "Your people need to know the face of their queen; you. Think about it." then she adds seriously as we trek into the forest.

"You are right but what can I do?" I retort thoughtful yet I see nothing I can do. "You can organise a very big party in the palace and invite the whole villagers, and most especially your army men." she brilliantly suggests.

"I love this idea but Maryline will never let me do such a thing, she's very protective of me." my shoulder slumps. "You are the Queen for crying out loud." she stops moving and she faces me scowling.

"It's not that easy." I move ahead of her in frustration. "Okay, ok!" she follows me "You can make a door to door presentation then." she suggests again and this time it's worse than the first.

"Are you crazy?. You want me to go knocking on people's doors?. What will I say, - hey, open the door it's your queen, I'm here for your family to see my face." I say sarcastically.

"Haha, saying it that way it sounds creepy, - but if we visit them with little gifts they will be receptive to appreciate your act of kindness. I'm sure they will be happy to be honoured by the Queen's presence." she gaily explains.

"Maryline won't be happy with this." and my words takes away the smile on her face "She doesn't need to know, Eve." she says spontaneously.

"So, where do I get gifts from?" I lift my shoulders in awe. "Well, we will think about this later." she runs ahead of me and I follow her.

When we finally arrive at the site we find her friends coming back from their run, they enter the hut as wolves then come out as humans, moving towards us.

"Matilda, you are late again?" A young nice-looking guy with short brown hairs and average height moves to us. He's slightly taller than us. "What's going over you girl?" Nelly wonders loud as she moves nearer with four other people.

"I'm so so sorry guys, - you all won't believe what happened to me. I was with the Queen and we had some little inconveniences with some palace guards." she speaks while pulling me ahead of them and this freaks me out and I don't know what to say.

Frustrated I discretely hit her laps fretting.

"Wow, that was a nice one Matilda. Now, you claim to know the Queen. No, no,  you actually mean the Queen of this kingdom is your friend?..." Mike doesn't believe her she always has complaints so he's used to it.

"Hahaha, Matilda, you can be very creative at times. Unfortunately, it won't help. We just terminated the run and we are going back to our houses. Perhaps, next time." they laugh at her, caring less about my presence and it's kind of offending.

"I am not lying Mike, this is the Queen." she points at me since I was already standing in front "I know many of you don't know her yet, but here she is. You should thank me later."

"Its a lie, let's go!" Mike orders and they all following him except for Nelly who remains behind asking "Wow! Are you really the Queen of this kingdom?. Can I come and see you in the palace, I have always dreamt of entering there..." she speaks without taking a break.

"Nelly, don't keep us waiting" Mike insistes. "Can I come to the palace, later?" she hurriedly asks fixing her sorrowful stare at me and I fall for it "Yes, you can." she runs to the other before I even complete my statement and they leave.

"Wow!. What kind of a queen are you, if I can't even enjoy any of your privileges as a friend." she faces me with a hand on the waist while she waves the others at my face.

"Hey, You will always enjoy my privileges, - whenever we are 'in' the palace, haha..." I say sarcastically. "Seriously?" it makes her laugh too.

"We don't even need them to do the run. We can do a short one right away five minutes and we go back home. Follow me" she moves ahead and I follow.

We enter the hut. "We always run here because the field is wild with no trees. Also because of this hut, you can easily undress and shift completely" she explains as we undress, shift into our wolves and we move out of the hut.

"Aaoowww..." we groan for a very long time... It's been a while since I last transformed, something which is still recent to me.

Indeed the middle field is vast with no tress, however, it's surrounded by the thick forest. We planned only to run on the empty field. Still, I get out of the boundaries we set and I speed into the forest. There's no run without obstacles, empty field bores.

"Aaoowww..." Matilda groans angrily yet she follows me out of the boundaries we set.

I find satisfaction in avoiding the tall trees and stepping on the soft grass. It's so exciting and bone stretching. Now I understand why wolves always go for such runs. Wow, wow...

After a long run, we move back into the hut, shifting back to our human forms. "Will you come to the palace tomorrow?" I ask. "Hmmm, since you insist." she retorts sarcastically, not strange coming from her.

We separate half way to our respective houses. It's late already the sky is getting dark. I hope Maryline hasn't noticed my absence yet, I bit my lower lips in fear. Looking at the sky, it's dinner time already. I run rapidly.

Maryline leave the kitchen moves gently to Eve's room.

I move into the palace through the back. One of the maids sees me but I don't mind. I bypass my window no way for me to fly up to that height. I have no other choice but to take the main door.

While moving in through the main door, I find Maryline about to knock on my door. "Maryline!" she quivers and turns around "I though, - you were in?" she points at the room.

"Yes, I was in, but I got bored so I decided to take a stroll round the compound." I lie. "No wander, you smell grasses and your legs are muddy. Omg, don't you know that you are a queen?!. Anyway get ready for dinner. Let's get in" she turns.

"Why should I get ready for dinner! - when I'm the only one to be seated on the big dining table?. It's boring Maryline. Why can't I be served in my room?" I say before she pushes the door to my room.

"You are a queen, a lady. You..." I cut her long sermon "Please, just this one time please. There is no one around so I will definitely miss nothing." I cry.

"Just today. Just one." she reluctantly approves.

"Yes," I run and grab her with a tight hug. "Shall we get in?" she can barely breath since she's tight in my arms. I release her then I check myself and I find no key. My heart starts pounding in fear. Perhaps I lost it when I was running. OMG!...

"I can't find my keys?" I start searching for it. "Its fine I have the spare here with me. I bought it in case you refuse to get out of the room," she says. "Wow," I murmur.

As soon as she opens the door, I get in first, checking. I see my keys on the bed. I immediately grab it and hide.

Maryline takes care of Eve while Edmonton is in an abandoned Bangalore not too far from the palace.

"Why the hell will you come back from a mission I sent you on, and don't get back to me immediately?" Edmonton yells.

"You keep doing this same mistake, my dear Edmonton. You don't yell at me. I'm not your subject, I am your partner, that means your equal. The earlier you understand this, the better for you." he says with confidence as usual while taking a seat on a bamboo chair.

"Fine!" Edmonton takes a deep breath "Were you able to seize our neighbouring territories?" he asks in a low tone.

"Good!." he grins at the gentleness of Edmonton's tone "Of course I was able to. Now it all belongs to your 'little queen''." he says angrily. "Don't be silly Rocky, you know what we are planning for is way better than just plots of lands."

"So when do we start, because I searched the whole kingdom of Eden, but I found no portal as you predicted." Rocky wonders.

"The portal is not activated yet but now that you have seized the kingdom and it's all ours, we will start our activities soon. Trust me it will be sooner than expected, because not only the portal is important but the whole kingdom of Eden is magical you will see it." Edmonton narrates and Rocky listen passionately. He already sees himself in the 7th heavens.

"Words, words and always words, I want to see the results. I have put my life and reputation on the the line for you. Don't make me regret it." he gets back to earth.

"You will see the results soon. I've already started working on the spell that will break the spell on the Karatt gate but the chant only lasted for a few seconds."

"Great!" Rocky nods. "The last ingredient is found in Eden, I just need to find it."

"You have said that already, so when are you leaving for Eden?".

"As soon as I round up with a few things. Once I leave make sure you take very good care of my niece. She's all I have as a family."

"Noted." he retorts carelessly with no interest.
