"No mum, I didn't. I can never do such a thing…" Imogen was talking, but she took a pause when she noticed the way her mother had looked at her.

"I can but not to Heaven. I see the way Kayden protects her, I know what would happen to me if I dared to lay a finger on her" Imogen fired out.

"Emma" Keren called out to Emma but Emma was in too much shock to say anything, she just walked away.

Kayden's POV

I sat in my office, still trying to figure out who might have taken Heaven away from the castle. Who would have such audacity?.

I'm not sure I will be able to forgive that person when I get him or her.

"Good afternoon sir, sir I just wanted you to sign these papers" my secretary walked into my office without even knocking and her buttons were loose.

I guessed that she was trying to seduce me, if only she knew the kind of mess I found myself in, then she wouldn't even try to come close to me.

"Okay, drop them, and then you can leave" I focused on my computer but she was stubborn.

She brought her twins so close to my face while she was dropping the papers.

"GET OUT OF MY OFFICE" I scolded her and she shook in fear, arranging her dress as she left my office.

What do they even think this place is, a strip club?.

"Sir…you…you have a meeting scheduled for right now" my assistant came to inform me.

He didn't even enter the room, I'm guessing he was too scared to do so, probably because my secretary had informed him of how I treated her earlier.

"Go and tell them that the meeting has been rescheduled" I waved him off. He ran out of the door immediately, only to return shortly after.

"What is it?!...what part of rescheduling the meeting don't you understand?" I shouted at him, hitting my fist on the desk and standing up from my chair.

"Sir, I did tell them that. But..but" he stammered and that only frustrated me the more, I didn't like the suspense.

"But what??" I hit my palm on the table again, I didn't want to use my fist. At least, I tried to control my anger, if not I am sure I would break the table. It wouldn't be the first I will be replacing this month.

"But, since they are foreign investors, it was hard to convince them to invest in our company.

They said if we don't hold the meeting today, then they will no longer be interested in doing business with us.

We are going to lose a lot of money boss, so many millions'' he stuttered, and just thinking about it made him dizzy.

I took a deep breath and tried to calm down.

"I'm not interested in doing business with them either, they should just go away" I waved him off.

The only thing I could think about was Heaven, was she safe at all?

Is she doing alright?.

I hope she hasn't gotten herself into any kind of trouble.

"Please sir, just come along with me and be present there. You don't have to say anything, I have already arranged the presentation.

All that is needed is your presence, please sir. I have worked so hard for this project" he tried to plead with me.

I could understand how he felt, to spend day and night on just one project and not getting anything in return for it, can be very traumatic, even for me.

"Please Kayden" I heard Heaven's sweet voice in my head

What kind of torture is this?. I have started hearing things now.

"Let's go" I gestured for him to lead the way to the board room.

I sat down and waited for him to start the presentation. My mind still drifted off to Heaven, how she looked so peaceful the last time I saw her. How she clung on to me, and asked me to leave her side.

This is all my fault, if I had just been there with her then all these wouldn't have happened, she would have been here with me right now.

In my quest to seek revenge on Jason for what he did to her, I left my defenseless wife alone in the castle without anyone to protect her.

I hope she is okay, because if anything happens to her then I will

have nothing left, I won't even be able to forgive myself.

"Alright, let's go, you can lead the way" I finally gave in to his demands, because I knew that is what Heaven would have wanted.

"Thank you so much boss" he was trying to thank me, but I was in no mood for that. All I wanted to do was get everything over with so I could go back home.

As soon as I entered the room, the investors stood up to give me a handshake. I forced a smile on my face and shaked him back.

We thought you are no longer interested in doing business with us" one of them said. Within me, I wanted to chase him out of my company, but for the sake of peace I faked a smile.

"No, never, I was just so busy. That is why I asked my assistant to reschedule the meeting. But, since you insisted, then I had to leave everything behind" I replied casually and took my seat.

"We are sorry about that," he apologized.

"It's okay, since we are here now. We can all enjoy the presentation" I pointed towards the projector screen.

It didn't take long before I drifted off in my own thoughts, the only thing I could think of was Heaven, she was all I wanted.

"Don't you agree sir?" Was the next thing I heard and I jerked back to reality, facing the white screen I faked a smile.

I don't even know what he is talking about but I just have to agree, it's not like I have much of a choice. I already agreed to hold the meeting, so I might as well play along.
