Chapter 71: Chapter 71

Kayden forced himself out of bed and was tempted to stroll down to Heaven's

"Heaven, are you there?" He knocked on her door. Calling out to her, and hoping she would respond but she remained silent.

"I am sorry, just please open the door for me. Look, I know you are upset that I left you last night. But, I had something very important to attend to, please I promise it won't happen again. "

He knocked on the door several times and when he didn't get any response, he tried to unlock the door from the outside.

But he was shocked to discover that the door was already open, well it wasn't so surprising that she left her door open.

She forgets to lock her door most of the time. But the shock came when he couldn't find her sleeping on the bed, or even in the room at all.

"Are you in the bathroom?" He knocked on her bathroom door, and when he didn't get any reply he opened it.

She wasn't there still, he scratched his head and wondered where she had gone.

He began his search from the garden to the ballroom, and many other places he thought she could have gone to in the castle. He even went to check the library but she wasn't there.

"Have you seen Princess Heaven?" He asked some of the guards that stood at the gate.

"No my prince,"one replied, and he bowed before Kayden.

Kayden became very worried, did she run away from him?. No, she couldn't have run away. He kept on having crazy thoughts and it didn't take too long for his worry to turn into anger.

Being the first to wake up that morning, he was ready to take full advantage of the situation.

"How dare they have a peaceful morning when my wife is nowhere to be found?" Kayden groaned in anger and displeasure.

He went further to switch on the fire alarm causing a loud noise and every single sprinkler in the castle had gone off.

Everyone's bed was wet as the sprinklers were in every room. It was a special feature that was made in the castle, ever since Kayden had set an entire room on fire.

"Oh my God!!" Imogen was the first to wake up.

"What on Earth?!" Emma woke up after her, they were both soaked.

"Get dressed, we have to go find out what is going on"Imogen threw the duvet over her and forced her feet to touch the floor.

She tried to find some dry clothes in her wardrobe, but everything was soaked

The entire room resembled a swimming pool.

Emma just had to wear wet clothes to her room, which was also filled with water.

Both girls ran downstairs, they weren't too surprised to see the king and queen there already, they were also soaked.

"Kayden!!!" Alex thundered as he approached Kayden, but stopped when he got close to him.

"You better shut your mouth old man. Don't speak unless spoken to. If not, you may just be begging for death" Kayden was pissed off.

"Where is my wife??'' He crashed the table in front of him.

"Huh" Keren looked around like a confused rabbit.

"I said where is my wife?...did I have water in my mouth when I asked the first time?" Kayden narrowed his eyes as he walked closer to Alex.

"Where did you take her?" He raised his eyebrows, clenching his fist and grinding his teeth. He couldn't hold back his anger and resentment toward his uncle.

"I don't know, '' Alex said and signaled for some guards to stand in between them.

Only two of the guards were brave enough to do that. Everyone was terrified of Kayden.

Terrified was an understatement, his mere voice alone was enough to send them on their heels, especially when he was angry.

"So, did she disappear into thin air?" Kayden asked a ridiculous question, and looked at his uncle with reddish eyes.

"I don't know, but I didn't do anything to her… I…." Alex was talking but was quickly interrupted by an overconfident Emma.

"Why would you even call her your wife?. I think we should just be happy that she has decided to leave your life," Emma smiled at herself.

Kayden darted his eyes towards her direction, and she regretted the nonsense she had vomited almost immediately.

"Do you know that Heaven was taken away from this place?" Kayden walked up to her and said in a whisper.

His voice wasn't loud, he didn't hit her nor was he rude. But yet, she felt cold and her legs were shaking. All she wanted was for the ground to open up, and swallow her almost immediately. She wanted this to come to an end.

"N…oo…n" she stammered as she struggled so much not to pee on herself..she had to remain standing and that too was difficult.

"Stop trying to act funny with me" Kayden grabbed her elbow, and shook her vigorously.

" I swear to you, I didn't do anything to her," Emma said in a haste. Kayden's attention further moved towards a distorted Imogen who even didn't want to have eye contact with him.

"IMOGEN!!!" He yelled and she fell on the floor.

"I'm not sure Imogen did it, please. She is too scared of you to do such a thing" Keren went to meet her frightened daughter, trying her best to cover up for her.

"You all should pray, pray I find her before the next three days are over. Because, if I don't…" Kayden took a pause, and looked at everyone present.

"Today, I splashed water on everyone to wake you up. Tomorrow I will set your rooms ablaze, don't mess with me" Kayden warned.

Imogen hugged her mother tightly for support, even Alex had goosebumps. No one dared to tamper with his warnings, they knew the kind of person he was.

"Imogen, did you do it?" Keren found herself suspecting her daughter.
