Chapter 73: Chapter 73

Kayden's POV

"Of course" I forced the smile back on my face, while I placed my fist on top of each other.

"I think we should make slight changes", one of the foreign investors suggested.

"Whatever you feel works for you. I am sure we can work out a way" I tried to remain calm and act as if I understood anything of what was happening.

"Okay, we will have to discuss the changes in the next meeting.

But so far, I think we all like what we have seen so far.

We hope to start doing business with you as soon as possible" he and his acquaintances stood up from their seats, and offered me a handshake.

I shook them and walked away. I was so happy that it was all over now.

"Sir! Sir!" My assistant ran after me holding a file, and if not for the wall that he held onto then he would have fallen on the floor.

"Are you upset sir?" He asked me.

I don't believe the nerves of this guy, after making me attend a meeting that I didn't want to be part of in the first place he still comes to ask me if I am upset.

"What do you want?'' I went straight to the point.

"I would love it if you could go through these files" he handed me the documents.

"I'll check them later, and cancel all the meetings I have for today. I am going home now" I told him and walked out.

"But he just arrived, it's still so early. Why could he possibly want to leave?" He murmured to himself and I heard him very clearly.

I just chose to be ignorant about what he said, and pretended not to hear him, while I walked away.

Heaven's POV

I opened my eyes slowly and felt something cold beneath me, was it the floor?. Why was I on the floor?

It was so dark that I couldn't even see anything at all.

"Kayden!! Kayden!!" I called out to him, but he didn't respond, no one responded.

The only response I got was an echo of my own screams

Where was I?, and why was the floor so cold? There was no source of light and I became very scared, I couldn't tell if it was night or day.

"Kayden, please get me out of this place. Why have you locked me in here"?" I cried out, standing up to look for the door, but there was no door.

At least I was sure of that, because I didn't find one single door, after walking and walking for a long time and it just felt like I was going in circles.

There didn't seem to be any windows either, I began to feel very dizzy as I sat back down on the floor.

How did I get here? Oh dear Lord, please save me from this predicament.

I felt very hungry and my stomach just had to growl at the wrong time, I clenched my stomach in so much pain. Was I going to remain here forever?.

Kayden's POV

"Prince Kayden you have to stop her, please stop her, she is leaving" a maid ran towards me the moment I walked through the front door of the castle, she looked very scared and worried. I was in no mood for all this drama, can't I just come back to a normal home.

"Stop who?Who is leaving?" I was confused and also didn't care.

"You know what, I don't care.

Whoever wants to leave, should leave except the person is Princess Heaven" I shook my head and let out a sigh.

"Emma!" I was shocked to see Emma dragging her suitcase, as she was leaving the castle.

Everything was clear now, Emma was the one leaving, no wonder the maid was so worked up.

"You may go now" I sent her away, she looked at Emma who gave her daggering looks, and then back at me that wore an expressionless face before she left.

"Why are you leaving!" I asked her in a low voice, I couldn't tell if it was because I didn't want her to leave yet, or because I was already losing my senses.

The whole world was already crashing down on me, so my thinking and actions were all messed up.

"Because I cannot tolerate the shame and embarrassment anymore. Kayden, what I'm I doing here?.

I am not your wife and even my parents are not aware of the fact that I didn't get married to you on our wedding day, they are not aware that you married someone else.

Why are you keeping me here?mJust let me go, I refuse to be your other woman" Emma was quite furious, I wouldn't say that I was shocked at her childish and immature behavior.

Emma was always like this, she was too used to getting whatever she wanted and I was not ready to contain with her.

"Emma, how can you even think of leaving in such a situation? Heaven is missing, I have to find her, and I cannot do that if you leave" I walked up to her, so there was a little distance between us.

"Why?. Did I take her?" She asked me with so much confidence, too much confidence if you'd ask me.

Had she been a guy, then I would have slapped her across the face and made her fall on the floor for daring to speak to me in that tone.

"Firstly, you have to lower your voice whenever you speak to me. You have no right whatsoever to talk to me in that tone.

And second, I can suspect you if I want, because you did promise to deal with her on so many occasions" I narrowed my gaze and she turned her face away from me.

"I'm leaving" she spoke softly, swallowing her saliva. Her fingers gripped the handle of her suitcase, she was about to roll it out when I held her hand.
