Chapter 7: Chapter 7

Danas was silent and did not answer. “Danas,” Regan called. This time his voice was a little higher.

All women want to be adored and pampered, why did I experience this kind of fate? Am I wrong, wanting a husband who cares?! All women want the same thing. But, I have to get rid of all those desires, and to hope that they will come true is just in vain.

Danas' eyes were in the same line as Regan's hazel eyes and then she moved closer to her husband.

She knew that the man was trying to protect her image, but it made her heart ache. Regan's pretence cut his heart deep. Not sincerity when doing intimacy, but everything is fake.

The considerate Regan, is Fake. Smiling and warm Regan is fake.

Seeing Danas' slow steps, the man immediately grabbed the girl's hand and made her sit on his lap.

"I-I'll just sit on the chair."

Regan tightened his hold on her. “Be a good boy, sit tight. You think I'm going to hug you like this, I don't want them to think bad things about me," Regan whispered.

There was pain when her husband said that to her, even though she knew it was just an act, but it still hurt when Regan said it.

Her hands clenched tightly, straining. She couldn't say how much pain she was holding in her heart, receiving all the treatment from that man. Their marriage was only one week old, but he couldn't stand what was happening to her life.

Sitting on Regan's lap, making her body stiffen slightly, she was afraid that if she made a mistake, she would make her husband angry.

An arm wrapped around her waist, making his body stiffen even more. Never had she felt this close to Regan. Being in the man's arms frightened her.

"I'm not going to be rude to you, don't make everyone in here stare weirdly at us," Regan whispered.

Not a word came out of Danas's mouth. The girl chose to be silent and smiled. Occasionally Regan would talk to her about a few small things, then return to silence.

Pretend to smile. It hurts so much

The long and tiring journey made her unconsciously lean against Regan's chest, and slowly the girl fell asleep. The man glanced at his wife, who had fallen asleep in him lap.

The girl fell asleep soundly as if nothing had happened. Regan looked at Danas' sleeping face.

"Beautiful, but I do not intend to be nice to her," he thought.

The scent of mint and vanilla from Danas' body made the man subconsciously hug the girl on his lap. He didn't even realize that he was addicted to the smell of Danas.

"I can't lie, if his scent calms me," he thought.

Danas, who was in his lap, fell asleep with her husband, who fell asleep while hugging him.

Vaguely could be seen in a room with a man lying beside him.

"When do we get to Germany?" asked Danas in the liver while getting out of bed.

His eyes explored the room, followed by footsteps that were exploring each room.

"Wow, this is like an apartment," Danas thought.

He looked for his bag but could not find it.

"I have to rush to take a shower, before he wakes up," she muttered as he stepped into the bathroom.

She washed her face first with water staring intently at the glass in front of her.

The reflection of her face in the mirror made her concerned about herself. She should be the happiest person, able to get married, but this is not the kind of marriage she wants.

Clek!

The bathroom door opened, allowing Danas to see Regan behind her. For a moment, their eyes were in a straight line and realizing Regan's arrival broke her reverie and quickly left there.

She didn't do much that morning, sitting down to the breakfast served with her husband, who had gone off somewhere. Sometimes he walked out of the balcony while looking at the scenery outside the balcony.

"Madam," Marvin called, making the girl turn to the source of the voice calling her.

"You are not tired of being here?" asked the man.

Dana took a deep breath.

"You've been working with him for a long time haven't you?" asked Danas making Marvin.

The man nodded his head. Danas leaned her body on the balcony railing, staring at the man in front of her.

"So do you know why he hates?" Danas asked quietly.

Marvin frowned. He couldn't believe he would get a question like that from the woman who was now his boss's wife.

“T-that's because—”

The girl hoped to get answers, why her husband hated her so much, Regan's reason for saying she was a murderer.

Ddzz …

Marvin took his cell phone from his pocket, and then looked at Danas.

"Sorry, madam. I have to take this call," said the man, then walked away from there.

She didn't get an answer when the words of the man in front of her had to be cut off by a phone call.

“Humph!” She let out a long sigh while enjoying the sight of Regan who would be dark at that time. Without friends, without someone to make him feel lonely.

Germany then looked beautiful and seemed so vast to her. Where did her husband go after leaving her? Ignored is probably the right word for her.

Honeymoon like what, leaving her partner? Even very far from the word honeymoon, more precisely, at this time, it is not a honeymoon.

Cleck!

The bedroom door opened, and Regan came home with clothes that were no longer neat like when the man came out. Buttons of clothes that have been opened, and lost.

Danas grabbed the athletic body, and made him wave his hand because he smelled the alcohol from his husband's body.

"Why does he drink so much," complained Danas while laying her husband on the bed.

He took off his shoes and socks.

A knock sounded.

"You …"

Danas saw Marvin, who was at the door of their room, while carving a smile.

"What happened? Why-"

"Master is drunk."

The girl saw Regan who was unconscious, then turned to glare at Marvin, then closed the bedroom door from the outside.

"Tell me what really happened to me. Why did he come here.”

“Th-that.”

“Marvin…” Danas' voice sounded intimidating to the man in front of him.

"We'd better talk somewhere else."

"Okay, let's go to the cafeteria."

Danas strolled. "Madam, the canteen isn't that way, but this way."

The girl turned her body to look at Marvin. “Ah, over there, yes.”

Her footsteps followed the man who was her husband's assistant. No one made a sound when they were in the elevator. Marvin led Danas to a table and ordered a drink.

"So tell me everything you know," Danas said, looking at Marvin. "What made him come here?"

"Actually Master came here to look for Miss Renata."

“Re-renata?” he asked.

She was surprised to hear that name.

"Who is Renata?"

"Miss Renata is Master's girlfriend."
