Chapter 6: Chapter 6
"I found Miss Renata," Marvin exclaimed.
His words suddenly stopped Regan's footsteps.
“Y-you found it? Where? Where did you find it? Tell me, where did you find it?”
Marvin was now being bombarded by his superior's questions, making him not know what to answer the man in front of him. Regan was so enthusiastic about what Marvin said, he wanted to meet Renata immediately.
"In Germany," Marvin answered curtly.
Hearing his lover found, Regan felt a little relieved, the man didn't know what to do, and his footsteps were confused about where to go.
Marvin, who saw that, could clearly judge that his superior was happy with the information he had just conveyed.
"Cancel all my schedules, I don't want anyone to make me cancel going to Germany, and prepare a flight for me, I'll go pick him up myself," Regan said
"B-but, what about Mrs. Danas, and if you go—"
Hearing Danas' name being called made him instantly frustrated because his happiness immediately vanished.
“Argh. Let her!"
Marvin scratched his head, he didn't understand his superior's thoughts. Leaving women as wives for girls who leave them. He even thought that his boss had been enchanted to make the man love her so much, and abandon his wife.
"Fine, I'll book a ticket for you, sir."
Regan nodded her head. “Nice,” he muttered under his breath as he paced back and forth.
There were happy faces.
“No… no, I have to go with that woman. I'm afraid, if there is someone who asks about me, I have to keep an eye on him, so as not to spill the beans."
Hearing the hazel-eyed man's words made Marvin slightly carve a smile.
"Do you want—"
"No." Regan immediately interrupted his handsome assistant. "What's a honeymoon for, I'm not going to do it with that disgusting woman. I went there looking for Renata, not to sleep with that girl," Regan said firmly.
Regan looked at Marvin seriously. The man was clapping his waist. "Go pick him up, I'll be waiting at the airport."
"Good."
Along the way, Marvin grumbled and even cursed occasionally.
“If you are hated, why should you try to marry, let alone not be treated like a wife. Beautiful girl, independent woman, many like Madame Danas, but—”
His words choked.
“Yeah, maybe I would be like master, if I was in his position,” he muttered under his breath. “But, I feel sorry for Madam.”
For a moment, he stopped grumbling. “But, why do I bother with Mr. Regan's family matters. That's his business, I'm just carrying out his orders."
The man looked stupid, talking and grumbling to himself.
"Right, I don't have to think about what I shouldn't think about," he muttered as he turned off the car engine.
Now his footsteps, looking for Danas in every corner of the house but did not find the girl in the house.
“Has Master Regan returned?” A voice startled him.
"N-no," he stammered a bit. "Mrs Danas where?"
"He's in the back garden."
Hearing this made him step into Regan's back garden. Danas is seen smiling, feeding the fish in the pond.
There was a slight tremor in his heart when he saw Danas's smile which was so calm that it made him feel his heart.
Plaque!
Instantly his cheek was slapped lightly.
"Realize Marvin, don't fall in love or you will be hanged by Mr Regan liking his woman."
The man took a deep breath.
“Madam…” he called.
The smiling Danas immediately put on a scared face when he saw Marvin.
“I-has he returned?”
"No, I'm alone," Marvin replied, changing Danas's face slightly.
"So why did you come alone?" asked Danas, curious about the man's arrival.
"Mr. Regan is leaving for Germany, he wants me to pick you up."
“G-german?”
Marvin nodded his head. "The plane will depart at 2 pm. Madam can still pack first. You don't need to bring clothes. You can buy a change of clothes when you're in Germany later.”
Danas just smiled wryly. Regan's return home always made her body respond to the man's fear. Even when he heard that name being called, it sent chills down his spine.
"You just need to change clothes."
Danas twisted her body, making Marvin stop suddenly and bump into the girl.
"S-sorry," he said, taking a few steps back.
“Could you wait for me, one second?! I promise, it won't be long."
Marvin nodded slowly. "Mr, I hope you do not listen to my heartbeat," he begged. "Shit, don't fall in love with your boss' wife, Marvin," he cursed to himself as he lightly slapped his cheek. “Marvin wake up,” he slapped again.
"What are you doing?" Dana asked.
"N-no, I'll wait for you in the car."
The car is now approaching a private jet.
Marvin came down first. Then he opened the door for Danas. “Please madam, master is waiting for you,” Marvin said with a smile.
Reluctantly, the girl stepped up the stairs.
"Please madam."
She took a deep breath, preparing himself for what would happen inside when he met Regan. There were only carved smiles given to those who worked for her husband, at least he wanted to make a good impression.
When she just entered, the first thing he saw was Regan's hazel eyes staring at him coldly. Seeing the expression on that cold face made his heart. It seemed there was no feeling of love for her. There was only hatred that her husband gave her.
She didn't ask to be loved by that man. She just wanted to be appreciated as a wife. Which wife will stand the cold look on her husband's face? She's just a woman who has the feeling of wanting to be appreciated.
"I'm your wife, can you not look at me as if I'm your enemy?" she asked himself.
She didn't dare say what she was thinking. She chose to sit across from Regan, staring out the window, being served by a flight attendant who offered her a drink.
"No, thank you," she refused.
Regan glanced across. His wife was staring out the window and saw Danas tying her hair, making her long neck visible. He didn't even notice that the man across from him was looking at him.
"Put on your seat belt, or you want to die here," Regan ordered, seeing Danas not wearing a seat belt.
The girl obeyed her husband's orders.
When the plane is above altitude, there is only silence. Several flight attendants on duty only glanced at the husband and wife.
"Are they fighting?" one of them asked in a whisper, making Marvin glance their way.
"Come closer, you don't want them to think that we're fighting right?"
Regan's voice made Danas glance at him.
"You come here or I come to your place?"
Danas was silent and did not answer. “Danas,” Regan called. This time his voice was a little higher.
