Chapter 68: Chapter 68

Renata ruffled her mattress brutally. The ends of the sheets came off. She threw a pillow so carelessly at the dressing table that some of her make-up items fell off. With emotions building up in her chest, the woman screamed in frustration.

Chest rising and falling, her breath roaring in annoyance, her eyes staring intently straight ahead. "Danas bitch," she hissed sharply.

She clenched her hands so tightly that her knuckles turned white. Anyone who saw Renata at this moment could clearly tell how much hatred was building up in her chest at the moment.

"Why do you always destroy my happiness, Danas," she muttered in annoyance.

Renata stood up, she walked towards her window. Staring out the window blankly. "I'll get rid of you, Danas. As soon as I get rid of you," she whispered.

Then she hit the wall in front of her hard. The throbbing in her hand at this moment was not even felt because the pain in her heart was so great. The woman did not care about the blisters on her knuckles. All she could think about was how to get rid of Danas. A way to regain her position.

Renata straightened her body. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath of the air around her. She tried to calm herself down.

She still hadn't given up on all of this. Feeling that she was much calmer, Renata walked out of the room. The hallway in front of her room felt quiet and lonely. She did not like this. Renata would rather be in the same room with Melvin.

"I don't like being alone," Renata said to herself.

She walked down the lonely hallway. Then turned down the stairs to the first floor. Where Danas and Melvin's room was.

Renata slightly raised her face haughtily as she passed the waiter. She wasn't in the mood to pretend and was taking off her friendly mask. Although Melvin's servants already knew that Renata was not good, but seeing Renata's cynical response when they greeted her made her true nature more visible.

When Renata had passed by the three young maids who were tidying up the living room, the three immediately gathered around and talked about her employer's lover's blunt attitude.

"Did you see those sharp eyes?" the maid with the mole on her cheek said.

The other maid nodded. "I saw it. Not only that, I could hear the irritated hiss when we greeted each other earlier," the other waitress added.

"I knew she was no good since that snake woman was always slandering Mrs. Danas," said the waitress who was shorter than the others.

"Who do you mean by the snake woman?"

The woman's familiar voice made the three young maids who were whispering and huddling together squeak and turn around. Their hearts skipped a beat at the sight of their superior's piercing gaze.

"Ms. Christina," they murmured. "That, ma'am, is what we mean."

"Are you bored working here?" interrupted Christina.

The three maids immediately shook their heads frantically. "No, ma'am," they replied in unison.

"Then why do you have the audacity to badmouth the family members in this house," Christina exclaimed.

The three young servants bowed their heads. "Sorry, ma'am. We won't do it again. It's just a reflex because it's the first time we've been treated with such obvious rudeness, so we couldn't bear to talk about it."

"Yes, ma'am. Mrs. Renata seemed more unfriendly than usual, so we reflexively talked about it. I'm sorry, ma'am."

"Please don't tell this to Mr. Melvin," another servant pleaded.

Christina took a deep breath and let it out. "I don't want something like this to happen again," Christina said. "Also, when you're working, stay focused on your work," Christina emphasized.

The three young waitresses nodded their heads. Actually, Christina had no intention of reporting this to Melvin. She just wanted to give a warning to her men. After all, she didn't want her men to get any anger from their employer.

Christina quickly left the three young servants. As she was about to walk to the kitchen, her eyes accidentally saw a strange behavior from Renata who seemed to be peeking in between Danas' bedroom door. It wasn't long before the woman entered with a strange look.

Christina squinted her eyes. Then she immediately stood in a place that would not be seen by Renata. The words of her subordinates just now rang again. Renata, who had never said a friendly greeting, had never received gossip from the young waitress. Seeing how the young waitress had vilified Renata so vehemently made Christina feel that there was indeed something wrong with Renata.

Either courage from nowhere, Christina began to monitor Renata's movements secretly. Until she left Danas' room and walked towards her own room. Christina refrained from walking straight to her employer's room. At least until Renata was actually on the second floor.

After making sure Renata was already upstairs, Christina immediately rushed to Danas' room. The old woman opened the room of her pregnant mistress.

Danas turned to the door of the room with a surprised look.

"W-what is it, Christina?"

Christina exhaled when she saw that her mistress was fine.

"Does Madame need anything?" Christina asked slowly. The woman's eyes glanced to the right and left. Seeing the condition of Danas' room whether there was anything strange or not.

"I'm okay, Chris. I just got out of the bathroom. I'm getting ready to rest. What's wrong?" Danas asked again. She felt a little strange about Christina because she didn't usually come into her room without knocking.

"Oh, thank goodness," Christina replied as she stroked her chest.

"Then have a good rest, ma'am. I'm sorry to interrupt, I don't know why my heart wasn't at ease earlier. It's like I had a strange premonition, that's why I came here immediately," Christina explained.

Hearing Christina's explanation, Danas smiled warmly. "Thank you for worrying about me, Chris. I'm okay. If I don't feel okay, I'll call you later," Danas said while raising two fingers. "Promise."

Christina laughed. "Okay then. I'll leave first."

Renata went back into her room. She recalled the time when she darkly entered Danas' room. That woman had intended to harm Danas right then and there. She couldn't stand the presence of that woman.

However, before her plan was carried out, the other side of her seemed to hold back. Making Renata in the end rush out of Danas' room before the woman realized her presence.

"Argh!" exclaimed Renata when she arrived at her room.

She walked back and forth while biting her nails. Her brain went back to thinking about how to get rid of that woman from this house.

"I can't be that careless. I may be exonerated from the Amaira case, but I'm not doing the same to Danas in a place like this."

Renata pulled her hair in annoyance. " I've got to make that woman come out without anyone knowing that I'm the one behind it. But, how."

Renata bit her lip. Her brow furrowed thinking of various ways. Until her feet stopped moving and the frown on her forehead faded.

"I know. There is one thing that is the reason why Danas stayed in this house. And I just have to eliminate that reason so there's no more reason for Danas to be around Melvin."

Renata raised one eyebrow. Her lips smiled crookedly. She quickly turned around and picked up the cell phone she had placed on the dressing table. She pressed a few numbers that she had memorized. The number of the person who had been her confidant all this time.

Renata waited until the call was picked up. When the call was answered Renata immediately gave one order to her confidant.

"I need the medicine today, this afternoon," Renata said firmly.

The person on the other end seemed to refuse the order from Renata because he felt that the order from the woman was too difficult.

"How do I get the abortifacient quickly?" said the person on the other side.

"Do I have to think about that too? I gave you an order so do it. I don't wanna know anyway. This afternoon the abortifacient must be in my hands," said Renata, not wanting to know.

After that she turned off the phone. Renata gripped her flat object with her eyes looking straight ahead. She hoped her plan would work.

"Your chance to live in this mansion is only a short time away, Danas," said Renata slyly.

Without realizing it, a pair of ears heard all her foul plans.
