Chapter 64: Chapter 64
The mall where they were shopping was getting more and more crowded. Some of the baby's needs have been chosen by Davina. Even though she didn't know the sex of the baby in Danas' womb.
Davina's hands are full of plastic grocery bags. Danas also carries several bags. Although Davina took the initiative to choose this and that, Danas still felt bad.
Davina sighed, thinking. "What else do you wanna buy? For your child. What about the color? I don't think I've bought green for her clothes yet. Is the baby a girl?" she asked.
"I don't yet know if it's a girl or a boy. But you chose a lot of blue," Danas said as she walked out of the umpteenth baby shop she visited today. Before leaving the store Danas saw a couple who were shopping, it felt so good to shop like this accompanied by her husband.
It occurred to Danas that if Melvin would do such a sweet thing, there would be no way!
"The blue color is cute, even if the child will be a girl, it can still be worn. Right, Nat?" Davina looked at her sister.
Asked that, Jagad was clearly stunned, only able to smile at his sister, then Danas.
"What does Jagad think is the gender of Danas' child?" asked Davina nosily. Like she didn't know the situation. But she never answered because Davina's face was also serious.
Jagad blushed, speechless. He scratched his head all wrong, "What, huh? I don't know yet," he replied.
"Dav, I think I've bought enough baby stuff, Danas held her stomach. It felt a bit tight under her stomach. Probably walking too long, she interrupted Jagad and Davina's conversation. "Sorry, but I feel like I need-"
Jagad saw Danas who was having trouble breathing. Jagad swiftly held Danas' hand. "Are you okay?" he asked worriedly.
Danas nodded, "I'm just tired. Can't we rest first?"
Davina was also worried about Danas' condition. "Then let's eat at that restaurant," Davina pointed to one of the restaurants in the mall.
Jagad, who was worried, was still walking beside Danas, worried that Danas would fall or faint.
Davina saw her brother's gesture who was very concerned about Danas. And Davina began to worry about Jagad, scared that her brother would be disappointed later. Jagad, Davina and Danas headed into the restaurant, Jagad who ordered a place for them to eat at the reception.
Jagad asked for a table a little far from the crowd so that Danas would feel comfortable. Restaurants are synonymous with good seafood. If asked, Danas loved seafood.
The waiter escorted them to the reserved table, which was close to the artificial garden on the third floor of the mall. Although it feels outdoors, it is quite comfortable. There were green plants, and flowers in bloom.
Danas sighed, "Finally..." she said, feeling extremely tired.
Jagad frowned, "Are you okay?" he asked.
Davina glanced at her brother who she thought was very overprotective. Davina seemed to be signaling to Jagad that it was normal. Danas was also in front of her eyes, so it seemed, Danas would be fine.
Jagad was at a loss, especially since Davina cleared her throat quite loudly, several people turned to Davina.
Discarding his nervousness, Jagad called the waiter to order food.
"What would Danas like to eat?" Jagad asked in a soft voice.
Danas and Davina also held the menu book. However, Davina was disappointed not to be asked by Jagad, her brother.
"You didn't offer me?" insinuated Davina suddenly. Not accepting, but her eyes did not look at Jagad.
"Um, what do you want to eat, Davina?" asked Jagad then awry.
Davina then mentioned what she wanted to eat.
Danas was still flipping through the pages of the menu book in her hand. Her forehead wrinkled, what was she going to eat?
"Don't you like what's here?" asked Jagad.
"No. I love seafood. So, take it easy, these are all my favorite foods."
"Thank goodness, then," Jagad finally smiled, his worries gone.
Danas finally mentioned what she wanted to eat. Then ordered a juice as her drink.
"Hah, I'm very hungry, so don't take too long, huh," Davina ordered then, after the waitress mentioned again what they ordered.
"Yes, Miss," said the waitress, walking away from the table.
Davina was so enthusiastic that she couldn't wait to see what baby items she had bought earlier. She unpacked one of the shopping bags under her feet. "Look at this," Davina exclaimed while looking at the light green baby jumper. "It's very small, I asked the shopkeeper, she said that baby clothes are this small."
Danas, who was pregnant, didn't seem too interested in Davina's conversation. Her stomach was starving, wanting to be filled immediately. Although it's no lie that the baby clothes look so cute and funny. Can't wait to see her child later wearing the clothes in Davina's hands.
"If your baby is a girl, it's very cute."
Danas nodded, "You're right, it's definitely cute, but I'm not sure if this child is a girl," she joked while stroking her stomach.
"Do you know if Danas' baby is a boy or a girl?" asked Jagad in a flat voice. "After all, I think we talked about it earlier, you don't know yet, do you Dan?"
Danas nodded, having a drink when Jagad asked this. The waiter had just delivered the drink order to their table.
"The food will be ready in ten minutes," the waiter said.
Danas nodded, if only she could make a sound, her stomach was currently starving. I don't know why she's always been hungry since she got pregnant! Worse, when she was starving in the middle of the night, Danas was confused about who to ask for help.
Davina continued to chatter about the baby in Danas' womb. "Is all this enough?" she asked enthusiastically looking at Danas, while showing the shopping bag that was already under Davina's feet.
Danas certainly didn't want to quell Davina's enthusiasm, so she nodded with a smile. "I think these groceries are enough for my baby. So, there's nothing else to buy. Maybe later when it's seven months or so," Danas said with a smile, happy that someone was paying attention to her.
It wasn't long before the waiter brought the food to the table.
The fragrant smell of cooking, the smoke that seemed to dance, on the serving plate, was appetizing. Danas was almost drooling when she saw the butter-fried prawns. Among the dishes on the table, prawns caught Danas' attention the most. Because of her hunger, Danas immediately took the dish.
Jagad got some rice for Danas, "Don't forget to eat this. They say pregnant people get hungry quickly, so don't forget to eat rice."
To be honest, Danas blushed to get attention from Jagad like this. Her heart was warming up. However, she knew enough not to take Jagad's treatment to heart. Danas was just scared that she would become Melvin's target later.
"Danas, would you like some soup?" offered Davina, thrusting the soup in front of Danas. "This is perfect if you're feeling queasy," Davina said.
Danas happily accepted the soup bowl, sipping the contents slowly. It was indeed delicious, fragrant and appetizing. Danas was happy with her meal this time. Plus the shrimp seemed to be very delicious.
Danas began to eat the shrimp with rice. The flavor was delicious, and the aroma of butter was fragrant.
"Do you like shrimp?" asked Jagad as he looked at Danas.
"Yes, I love it," Danas replied with a light smile that made her cheeks blush. "Thank you for inviting me here," she said, looking at Davina and Jagad in turn.
"Don't worry, whenever you want, we'll always be there for you," Jagad said a little loudly, without hesitation.
"Thank you, all of you," Danas said as she chewed but smiled widely.
"Finish the food in your mouth first," warned Davina.
Danas nodded with a smile.
The baby in Danas' belly was also starting to like and enjoy the food her mother was eating. A few moments after eating the shrimp, something else happened to Danas. Her hands began to develop a red rash, then Danas felt her mouth which felt numb, her face began to turn red.
"Danas are you okay?" asked Davina immediately stood up and approached Danas to her seat.
Danas was unable to answer. Her breathing began to feel tight and difficult to breathe.
Jagad immediately stood up from where he was sitting, taking the initiative to help Danas. It was a coincidence that a waiter approached their table.
"Can I help you?" he asked frantically, his face looking tense.
"Please borrow a wheelchair, take it to the car, we'll go straight to the hospital," Jagad suggested, panicking about Danas' sudden shortness of breath.
