Chapter 63: Chapter 63
"Okay, forget about Renata, your mother-in-law, and Melvin!" Davina exclaimed, making Danas turn her head to the woman.
Danas raised her eyebrows.
"We'd better use our precious time today to have fun!" Davina said enthusiastically.
"This is the perfect time for you to smile again, Danas. After all, pregnant women shouldn't be stressed. You have to be happy so that your child will feel happy too."
What Davina says is true. Danas shouldn't be dragged down by sadness. She should smile a lot so that the fetus in the womb can also develop well.
"So, where are we going today?" asked Danas with a cheerful tone. She was trying to get rid of the problems in her household at the moment.
"We're shopping, shopping is one of the fun things that can relieve stress," said Davina with great enthusiasm.
"Looks like you have a lot of pocket money," Danas teased. Making Davina chuckle.
"Jagad just sent me some snacks," she said shyly.
Hearing the joke made Danas chuckle. Then he went back to enjoying the trip.
Davina's concentration was slightly disturbed when her cell phone rang. Danas who realized it immediately helped take Davina's cellphone.
"Please see who's calling," Davina said with her eyes still straight ahead.
"It's Jagad," Danas replied.
Davina glanced at her cell phone screen shown by Danas.
Davina frowned. What was her brother calling for.
"Just answer it," Davina said lightly.
"Really?" asked Danas unexpectedly.
Davina turned her head slightly towards Danas before she looked back at the street. "What's wrong? Why are you surprised?"
Davina didn't think there was anything strange about her request. However, why was Danas even surprised by her request.
Danas shook her head. "It's not like that, it's just that, this is, right, a call from your brother. Just in case it's something important," Danas said hesitantly.
He genuinely felt bad about having to pick up Jagad's call. However, in the end Danas was forced to answer the phone.
"Hello," Danas said as she put the flat object to her ear. Her eyes glanced at Davina who gave a sign that she was not a problem at all.
"It's me Danas. Davina is driving, so she can't take your calls," Danas replied clearly.
"Oh, okay, sorry to interrupt. Where are you going?" Jagad asked back on the other side.
"We're going to the shopping center. Davina took me shopping."
"Wow, that sounds like fun," Jagad commented.
"Do you wanna join?" said Danas innocently. On the other hand, Davina was surprised to hear Danas inviting her brother.
Davina turned her head by raising her eyes. Her eyes seemed to say 'Are you kidding?'
Danas grimaced inwardly. It seemed like Davina didn't want that. However, Danas himself was confused about what to say.
"Uh, yes, but Jagad must be busy, right? No need to be forced, bro."
"Can I join you guys too? I happen to be relaxing at home and have no surgery scheduled today," Jagad said enthusiastically.
Danas glanced at Davina giving an apologetic look. Davina who knew that her brother must have accepted Danas' invitation could only clap her hands.
"I'll be there soon. Where are you going?" Jagad asked again.
Danas put away the cell phone and asked Davina. Davina gave a long sigh. "'Okay, Danas. I can't help it. I intended it to be just the two of us," said Davina.
Danas pursed his mouth. "Sorry."
Then Danas put the flat object back into his ear.
"At the city center mall. We'll wait in lobby A," Danas explained.
" Okay, I'll see you there."
After saying that, the phone line was disconnected. Danas put Davina's cell phone back slowly in its original place.
"Are you mad at me?" Danas asked. She understood that Davina would have preferred to go shopping without her brother.
"Ah, no. It's okay Danas, it's no big deal," Davina replied.
She also printed a smile on her face so Danas wouldn't think too much about it. After all, it wasn't a big deal. Davina thought it was because men would usually seem fussy when taken shopping with women so it would definitely be unpleasant.
Davina drove her car into the courtyard of the shopping center. She parked her four-wheeled vehicle carefully.
After that, they both got out of the car. And walked side by side into the mall building.
"Where did we meet Jagad earlier?" Davina asked Danas.
"Lobby A," Danas replied while shaking her fist to the right and left to look for Jagad's whereabouts.
Davina did the same. Then Davina took her cell phone from her bag. She turned on the phone screen to call back her brother.
"Hello, Jagad. Where are you?" asked Davina.
"Still in the parking lot," Jagad replied from the other end. "Have you arrived?" Jagad asked again.
"Yes. We've reached lobby A." Davina glanced around for a chair. When she saw it, she walked towards the chair with Danas leading her.
"Wait for you for a minute," Jagad replied again.
Davina was still on the phone with Jagad signaling Danas to sit in the long chair. Danas who realized the gesture then nodded her head and sat there.
" Okay, I'll wait in lobby A."
After that the connection was disconnected.
"You're not sitting down, Dav?" Danas asked Davina.
Davina shook her head. Aside from the fact that there were no more empty seats, she felt better standing while waiting for her brother.
"It's okay, I'm standing."
Then the two women of the same age waited there. Until a man in a plaid shirt arrived in casual clothes. Jagad looked more relaxed than usual.
"Hi," greeted Jagad while raising one hand.
Davina replied by shaking her hand up. Jagad immediately ran to Davina and Danas who were waiting for him.
"Did you wait long?" asked Jagad.
Danas shook his head. "Ah, not really," Danas replied.
Danas shook her head. "It's been a long time, bro! Come on, ah, let's start walking," said Davina, refuting Danas' words.
Making Danas grimace while Jagad just laughed while shaking his head at his sister's behavior.
The three of them walked towards the escalator. Davina, who was still pretending to be annoyed, walked ahead. While Danas and Jagad were behind Davina, walking side by side.
Davina put her feet first on the escalator steps. Then followed by Jagad and Danas.
Danas, who wore slightly high heels, almost fell because she tripped. Fortunately, Jagad's burly arm swiftly held her slender waist.
Danas' heart was racing when she thought she was going to slip. Her eyes rounded, her face stiff. When she realized that there was a pair of hands holding her down Danas breathed a sigh of relief.
"Be careful," Jagad whispered.
Then he helped Danas back to his feet. Danas held her chest. "I thought I'd feel the pain of surprise," Danas said still in shock.
Jagad smiled slightly. "You won't. I'll take care of you," Jagad replied casually.
Jagad's answer made Danas laugh. Danas' laughter was very crisp. Hearing her laughter made Jagad's heart feel calm. He looked at Danas who laughed so much that the woman's eyes narrowed.
Jagad knew this was wrong. He liked a married woman. Even the fact that her husband was his best friend made him feel that his feelings were a big mistake. However, every time Jagad tried to forget his feelings for Danas, the opposite happened.
He liked her more and more. The more he tried to forget, the more he remembered her. Jagad then pulled his eyes away from Danas' beautiful face.
"Dav, we have to go to the sandal shop first," Jagad said to his sister who stood in front.
Davina turned her body around. "What's wrong?" asked Davina.
"Danas wears shoes like that, it's a bit dangerous," said Jagad.
Davina nodded her head. She even realized that Danas was wearing high heels. The three of them entered the sandal shop.
Jagad immediately chose a comfortable sandal for Danas to wear. Then he squatted in front of Danas.
"Try it on," Jagad said.
Danas stepped back a little. "Let me wear it myself, it's okay," Danas said, feeling bad that Jagad had to kneel in front of her.
Jagad didn't insist and stood back up. Danas took off her high heels. And put on the sandals chosen by Jagad.
"How is it? Do you like it?" Jagad asked.
Danas nodded her head quickly. "Love it," she said with a wide smile.
Jagad unwittingly smiled too and then he walked towards the cashier to pay for it.
"Jagad, let me pay for it," said Danas.
Jagad clearly shook his head. "No, no, no. Let me do it, okay," said Jagad while taking out his card and giving it to the cashier.
Davina who saw it all felt sorry for her brother. Having to feel unrequited feelings and feelings of love at an inopportune time when he had just felt that love for the first time.
