Chapter 5: Chapter 5

"Did you get any information on Renata's whereabouts?" Regan asked, eyes glaring at Marvin.

Regan's question made his assistant stop his footsteps to reach for Regan's coat to tidy up.

“No, I haven't found any whereabouts about Miss Renata. Last time I found her whereabouts in Germany, but after I sent someone to come there, Miss Renata wasn't there.”

"I don't want to know, you have to find him."

Marvin glanced at the back of his superior, feeling pity for him. For him, Regan is a perfect man and has everything, but the man fails in love when his boss leaves a week before the wedding and is forced to marry the girl he hates the most.

“I have checked that no Miss Renata's name has left the country. I'll send some men to look for him."

There was no response from his superiors.

Regan chose to sit on the chair he leaned against, then massaged his head, feeling uncomfortable with his current position, made him change his position, bent his hands on the table, and then massaged his head again.

There was pain there felt by him because he thought too much. There was no day what he thought about was only his girlfriend who suddenly disappeared for no reason, not even giving him any news.

“Where are you going, Renata,” he muttered under his breath.

The girl's departure made her head constantly ache, coupled with the presence of Danas who has now become his wife. Time and time again he had complained, sometimes swearing at God which was so unfair to him.

As the man who was by Regan's side, Marvin slightly understood the suffering that man was going through.

"Would you like me to make you a cup of coffee?"

There was no answer. Only a nod of the head was given by the man.

Marvin brought Regan a cup of coffee, as well as some snacks, as well as breakfast. He knew that the man never had breakfast at home, preferring breakfast at the office.

Clek!

His eyes widened, seeing what was going on in the room. Several people were standing. In front of them, Regan was sitting at the table.

“What kind of report is this? Are you guys not able to make the report properly. Do you think I'm paying you to play around, and you're giving me trash reports like this?” Regan snapped, crossing his arms over his chest.

The cold gaze from his hazel eyes, as if ready to pounce on several people in front of him.

No one dared to speak, especially when the man was emotional. They will be silent and accept all anger. Speaking out is the same as losing a job, while many want to work at Regan's company.

"Repeat, I'm waiting for you tomorrow at nine."

There was no response, causing Regan to frown. "Do you understand?" he asked firmly, surprising the few people in front of him.

"Y-yes Mr, we understand," the team leader stammered.

"If you understand, what are you waiting for? You guys will be here all day? Huh?!” Regan snapped.

“N-no Mr, we excuse you.”

Marvin, who saw that, could only sigh softly. I don't know how many other people, will become the outlet for the anger of his superiors today.

Regan returned to her seat, pulled up her sleeves up to her elbows, reached for the pen on the right side, and then retrieved the file.

The man briefly read it, then put his signature on it.

Knock!

Marvin put down the coffee cup he had brought, so quickly Regan's hand grabbed the cup and took a sip.

After enjoying Marvin's coffee, Regan finished the paperwork she needed to sign.

"You better eat first." Marvin warned the workaholic man.

"No, I'm not hungry yet." Regan refused.

Seeing his stubborn boss, he immediately closed the laptop in front of Regan.

“Marvin, what are you doing? Can't you see I'm working? Regan asked in a slightly raised voice, emotion there.

"I know you're working, sir. But, your body needs food intake, to make you work. If you don't eat—”

“Give me my food,” Regan interrupted Marvin immediately. "If I don't eat, you will keep offering me food, and only you dare to lecture me?"

"I only-"

"Just give me my food."

Marvin couldn't help but sigh softly. His superiors were not only stubborn but also a workaholic. When dealing with work, it would make the man forget the time and eat.

After eating, Regan returned to continue his work while Marvin was sitting at his desk but could see his boss because his desk was only separated by glass from Regan's room.

When some time passed, Marvin knocked on the glass door and entered Regan's room.

"The division heads have gathered in the meeting room."

Hearing that, Regan got up from his seat, put on his uniform, and stepped outside.

The meeting room, which was previously noisy, fell silent when Regan's presence was in the room.

The room was getting dark, and it was seen that someone was giving an explanation, with the help of a projector the man explained in great detail, while Regan read what the man was explaining.

“Are your concepts so old-fashioned like this? Can't make something new, and sell you guys?”

Everyone fell silent when they heard Regan's voice commenting on the concept that was being explained.

“Change artist, create a new brand. What is this, did your ideas just end here?” he snapped.

In the room, there were so many people whose ages were far above his, but no one dared to raise their voices to rebuke or comment on that man.

"If your performance is like this, I will not hesitate to replace your position with someone else who is worthy."

Everyone in the room immediately opened their voices.

"Please don't fire us, we will make a different concept from this."

The sharp eyes he gave to the people in front of him.

"Give me what you promised me, otherwise you have to take all your stuff out of this company."

The man got up from his seat and left.

There was only a face full of worry visible, some were cursing at the man who had just come out.

"Why does he always take it out on us every time," someone grumbled.

Marvin was concerned about those who were in the room. His tired face was obvious, but he couldn't do anything either.

His footsteps quickened, following Regan from behind, the iPad in his hand not falling behind. Occasionally he corrected his glasses.

Ddzzz … Ddzzz … Ddzzz …

Marvin's cell phone vibrated making him stop and immediately reached into the jacket pocket that was in the middle of his clothes.

Seeing the message he received made his eyes widen.

"I found Miss Renata," Marvin exclaimed.

His words suddenly stopped Regan's footsteps.
