Chapter 46: Chapter 46

Renata and Melvin spent a romantic dinner together. In a starry European-style restaurant with Melvin's night as a view that can be seen through the glass window.

The two were seen chatting, teasing each other. Especially Renata, the woman acted so spoiled when she was alone with her lover.

"After this I'll take you home," Melvin said after downing a reddish colored liquid from the clear glass on the table.

"Ehh... I don't wanna go home yet. After this we can walk around first. Or if you want, we can also go to the hotel," the woman explained while giving an inviting look. However, Melvin seemed to ignore her.

"I still have to work tomorrow. Besides, didn't I already do everything you wanted?"

Hearing the man's explanation, Renata was suddenly upset. She scowled as she puffed out her cheeks.

" I'm the only one who enjoys our time together. Don't you think you're getting bored?" she said.

Melvin let out a short sigh. He was quite used to Renata's mood swings.

"What do you mean? Of course I enjoy it. If you want, you can ask for anything. I will definitely grant it," explained the man, trying to improve Renata's mood.

Renata raised one eyebrow. "Really? Anything?" she asked in a testing manner.

Melvin smiled slightly. "Of course," he replied.

Seeing her lover's smile, Renata then showed a happy smile. She then grasped Melvin's hand which was placed on the table.

"I don't want you to go home tonight," the girl said while showing a pitiable expression.

In fact, Melvin had just said that he wanted to take Renata home, but the girl asked otherwise.

"Isn't the time we've spent together enough?" the man asked with an astonished expression.

Renata let go of his hand. She then folded her arms in front of her chest and showed an annoyed face. "Of course it's not enough. I don't even want you to go home, especially since that woman is there," said the girl with a slightly flushed face.

Melvin just laughed at his girlfriend's funny behavior.

"Oh... are you jealous?" asked the man in a slightly nosy way of speaking. Meanwhile, Renata still looked sulking. "Didn't I always say, that you're the only woman I love. Why do you worry about such things," Melvin explained in a soft voice. He then took his girlfriend's hand and touched it gently.

"After all, you must spend a lot of time with Danas. She lives in your house."

Renata then changed her tone to a slower one. The girl showed a shy look as she realized that she had been acting childishly.

"You don't have to be worried about that. If it really troubles you that much, I won't come home tonight," Melvin explained to his girlfriend while showing a faint smile.

Then, Renata, whose wish was granted, finally showed a cheerful face. The girl looked so happy because Melvin had complied with her wishes.

But, deep inside Renata's heart, she actually still had concerns. Today Melvin might still be able to act like he's everything, but no one knows what's next. If Melvin always spent time alone with Danas, maybe something would change. Especially since lately Melvin has been acting like he cares and sometimes shows attention to Danas. What if Melvin had fallen in love with Danas?

Renata, who couldn't accept that, tried to find a way so that she could keep Melvin away from Danas, so that the relationship between the two would not become closer.

"Honey~" Renata said while looking at Melvin closely.

"What's wrong? Is there anything else you need?" the man asked while raising one eyebrow.

"Can I ask for one more thing?" asked the girl hesitantly.

"Yes? Let me know."

"I was actually hesitant to ask. I wasn't sure if you would grant my request this time," said Renata. The way she spoke was enigmatic, making Melvin wonder in his mind.

"What is it? I'll make anything happen," the man replied looking confident.

Renata then looked deeply at Melvin. Seeing the woman's gaze, Melvin became a little nervous.

"Seriously?" asked Renata.

Melvin stammeringly replied, "Of course," the man said.

"I wanna live in your mansion," said Renata.

Melvin then gasped. The man looked confused. "You wanna live together?" he asked for confirmation. "Don't you know that Danas is there? Are you okay with that?" the man asked. He was still confused as to why his girlfriend would suddenly ask such a thing.

Renata fumed. "That's precisely why I wanted to stay there. I don't wanna leave you alone with Danas," the woman replied in a pushy tone. "Grant it, will you?"

Melvin let out a long sigh. He was already quite troubled by Renata's request to not let him go home. He still had to leave early for work tomorrow. Add to that Renata's desire to live in the mansion. He wasn't sure if Renata could stand having Danas there, but that didn't mean Melvin hated the idea. After all, she would probably feel happier with the person she loved at home.

Melvin finally made a decision. "Alright. You can live there like it's your own home. You can come home anytime you want."

Renata was so happy to hear Melvin's answer. She wanted to get out of her chair and jump up with excitement. Of course, she didn't do that. It was just an image in her head.

" Thanks, sweetheart. You're the best."

After that, they finally left there. In accordance with Renata's wish, Melvin didn't go home that night and spent his time alone with Renata.

Melvin had agreed to her wishes, so without lingering, Renata made preparations to immediately live in Melvin's mansion. There, the woman was warmly welcomed according to the mansion owner's request. At least, that's what it looked like from the outside.

Some maids, however, certainly felt uncomfortable knowing the presence of another woman, while their employer already had a wife. Christina as the senior maid also looked so sorry for Danas who really didn't appreciate her presence.

During her stay at Melvin's house, Renata really did whatever she wanted. It was as if she was the big mistress of the house. Inevitably, Christina compared her behavior with that of her employer's wife. Christina wondered why her employer could like a woman like Renata. A girl who was selfish, spoiled, and had too many demands.

Even so, people could only understand. That's what happens when one is blinded by love. Melvin even let Renata do whatever she wanted, granting her every wish, even ignoring the fact that Danas was also there.

Meanwhile, Danas had to go through days that were much harder than the previous ones.

Danas let out a long sigh. She was currently meeting Davina on the campus. While waiting for the time to be able to consult with the lecturer, she spent time with her best friend who had just met the lecturer. They have different schedules in consulting related to the final project.

Davina who saw Danas' behavior then wondered. Her best friend looked more gloomy than usual.

"What's wrong?" Davina asked Danas when they happened to be walking down the corridor.

Danas showed a stiff smile. "Ah, actually ...." At first, the woman was a bit hesitant to tell her best friend. Of course it was because she could imagine how Davina would react if she found out. However, since Danas had also felt heavy if she had to bear it alone, she decided to tell Davina.

"Renata recently moved to Melvin's house and stayed there. So, she's been there for the past few days," Danas explained, looking distraught.

Just hearing Renata's name makes Davina's blood boil. Especially when it came to the fact that she was now living in Melvin's mansion.

"Are you serious?!" Davina snapped. The girl looked so furious. "There's a limit to what you can do. How could they treat you like that?"

Danas tried to calm her friend down. Davina's loud voice attracted the attention of the people around. Danas finally pulled the girl's arm, then invited her to tell a story in the gazebo which was not far from the place earlier.

"Calm down! We're being seen by people," Danas said feeling embarrassed because she had become a concern.

Even so, Davina didn't seem to care. "Yes, that's it... I can't take this. I know that the most hurt is Danas, but still...."

Danas then smiled slightly. Even though her days were so hard while living with Melvin, but knowing that there was a friend she could share her worries with, made Danas feel relieved. The girl was actually happy to know that Davina could be that angry for her sake.

"Danas, I really hated Renata. How could she treat you like that."

"Yes, yes," Danas replied with a grin.

"Why are you... this is a big deal?" squealed Davina looking annoyed with Danas' indifferent attitude."

"I know, but I'm glad to know that you're on my side."

Davina wanted to cry hearing Danas' words. Even so, her anger was still difficult to suppress. If only Renata was in front of her right now, maybe the girl's fist would have been flying earlier.
