Chapter 206: Chapter 206
Everything happened according to Lucien and Brianna’s plans. They did not leave any chances for their enemies to strike back. Even without proof if a mole was left by taking them all down. Levi was not very fond of weapons but knowing he was using a T-gun, undeadly to anyone he would shoot it to, the surgeon did not hesitate to clear the path for his family to walk out of the situation alive. It was a choice between his family’s lives and the enemy, so without any doubt, Levi Michaelson did what he knew he was supposed to do.
“Knowing self-defense is not bad at all,” Levi tapped his son’s shoulder when they were sure they had everyone down, sleeping like drunkards on the floor.
Lucien just smiled.
“Let’s get our ladies, now, dad,” he said with an excited mien.
“What do we do next?” Asked Levi.
“Well, we have to ask the expert about that,” Lucien replied.
“Didn’t I see you being disobedient earlier?” the father teased his son. “I am telling you, son, you should beware and be ready to take the consequences of causing such displeasure. I am not sure about others but, in my experience with your mom, they can be revengeful. They are more fearsome than the most high God,” Levi chuckled.
“What?” Lucien almost choked on his laughter. “Why is that?”
“Because the Big Guy up there,” Levi pointed his index to the ceiling. “Does not keep records of wrong. Every day is a new beginning. A new promise. But with your mom, they can dig even the oldest of your wrongdoings.”
The father and son laughed. But as they were still in the middle of getting out of the building safe and alive, they could only control their voices from bursting out loud. When they returned to the room, the three knocked-down men were tightly bound. Their hands were behind their backs and their legs were folded to tie all four from behind. Their mouths were gagged by the ties they were wearing on their neck.
Levi was startled to notice Sandra was nowhere to be seen. Sandra was no longer in the same spot she was lying down when they left. The husband was just about to ask when Brianna pointed her right hand to the couch nearby.
“Oh, thanks!” Levi sighed in relief. “What do we do next?” He asked walking in his wife’s direction and then, he cuddled Sandra in his arms.
“We will have to take the elevator going up to the rooftop. Lucien will have to walk in first and deal with the surveillance camera in the lift. We will take a few stops then take a medical chopper ride waiting for us on the rooftop to walk out of here,” Brianna answered.
“We have a medical shopper waiting for us on the roof?” Lucien was astonished.
“Yeah, I asked someone to deal with the formalities, so yes, we are taking our patient out of here through aviation,” Brianna answered firmly. “Ready?” She asked Lucien then turned to Levi Michaelson to ask the same thing. “Sir?”
“Yes, Don’t worry, I can carry my wife without any trouble,” Levi answered, shrugging his shoulders but his eyes widened in disbelief when he realized his woman was heavier than he assumed she would weigh. “It’s been a while since I last lifted here this way,” Levi seemed to explain sheepishly, grunting as he carried Sandra like a princess in his arms.
“I can do that for you,” Lucien butted in. “You deal with the lenses in the lift, I will carry mom on my back instead.”
Then son politely suggested. He was not demeaning his father, Lucien was aware his parents are getting older and it would be wiser and safer if he did the lifting, he was fit after all. However, Levi was not buying Lucien’s suggestion. He playfully snapped at his son.
“Don’t you dare, my boy! I will take care of my woman. And you should learn from me, that no matter if we get old and our hair turns awfully gray, I will carry her no matter how challenging it may take,” Levi insisted.
“Alright, okay, cool down, dad. Nevertheless, just in case you need a little hand, I am right behind you, are we good?” Lucien could not keep his grin teasingly showing.
It was not hard to notice that the older Michaelson was indeed having a great challenge to secure his wife in his arms, but he was too proud to claim that he could manage to move Sandra from their current location to wherever Brianna suggested they go next. The woman was now quite similar to a warm dead body as she was sleeping with all her weight down on Levi’s arms.
Lucien did as Brianna said, he shot the surveillance camera. But just as Brianna had told him, he made sure to stare at the lenses enough to get recognized by his grandpa and everyone else to know it was him, a Michaelsons private security person who shoot the camera. It would give Leandro and Jack a hint to investigate. No one else knew what was really going on with the Michaelson couple. No one had any access to Brianna and Lucien, so they could assume Brianna was with the couple but they would still be taking measures to be sure.
Brianna sent a message from Sandra Michaelson’s office to the emergency room department to request for a chopper. So, no one knew, not their rescue team, and neither was the enemy, or any of the parties watching over the building for the Michaelsons, who was going to use the chopper.
The chopper was there when they arrived at the rooftop. When the emergency pilot saw the neurosurgeon Sandra Michaelson was unconscious and being carried by her husband, a heart surgeon, Levi Michaelson, he did not doubt the case to be severe for they would have just trend to the medical need in this facility. The pilot took the Michaelsons where he asked to be brought and with the utmost consideration and respect. The pilot did not know anything after he dropped the family on the helipad and flew back to his headquarters.
But the Michaelsons did not stay in the hospital. Sandra was not ill, after all. They called for a cab while Sandra was in a wheelchair as they moved around. With a simple note sent to Leandro. The two couples rented a car and drove to a beach resort. A private beach resort owned by Levi and Sandra’s friends who are now residing abroad and would only come and go whenever they want to have a break from their busy and hectic life.
Just as Lucien and Brianna had assumed, Leandro got the hint they left behind.
“Get it there!” Leandro ordered his private military men. He was referring to Sandra’s office.
Doing as the Michaelson patriarch's order, they found three men tied up and unconscious in the room. Two were strangers’ faces, but the third one had his mask halfway pulled up to reveal that he was an impostor.
“I need to know where our men are right now,” Leandro firmly stated his eyes fixed on the monitor where he saw the face of one of his men staring at it as if sending a wordless but significant message.
