Chapter 163: Chapter 163

The rescue troops soon got into the warehouse. They were all wearing gas masks as they were well aware the area would be filled with smoke from the amount of tear gas they were ordered to shoot into the warehouse. Blake could not move freely from his position because a few men from the enemy were lying on the ground with their guns pointing in his direction. He had a gas mask, so even if the smoke went up in the air, he was not affected by it, although he was on higher ground. The enemy also took the leverage of their position lying on the ground to avoid inhaling so much gas with one hand holding the gun while the other was covering their noses. Blake was able to keep himself unhit by the enemy's bullets by moving a bit back to hide within the narrow metal rack nearby. He did not see what had happened. And he was only able to move out securely when he heard their backup arrived.

"Rescue targets are missing! I repeat, rescue targets are nowhere in sight!"

The team leader, Tristan Oliver, announced as soon as they made sure they had searched the area but found no one among their Boss B and Young Master.

Blake reached the ground at a rapid speed. He landed where he saw the two, Boss B and Lucien, were before the enemies spotted him.

"What do you mean missing?!" Leandro asked with agitation, controlling his anger. "Tear the whole building if you have to. I don't give a damn! Just bring me back, my boy and Anna, do you hear me?!" he added in a steady voice.

Leandro was angry, fearful, and anxious, but he was worried his blood pressure would get in his way, so he tried his best to stay as calm as he could manage. Enzo handed the old Michaelson a glass of water and his meds to assist him. Leandro and Enzo knew they had to stay sober from any strong emotions. Lucien was already on in a situation that needed their guidance and lead on how to deal with it, having Leandro in an additional panic state will not be of any help.

Jack was as panicked as Don Leon. He was worried about Brianna, so he asked Blake.

"Where did you last see them, Blake?"

"I am standing right where they were when I last saw them," Blake Gordon answered right away.

"Where do you think they could have gone?" Jack asked again. He was confident Blake would have a precise analysis of what just happened. "Explore all possibilities. Check all directions. East, West, North, and South!"

"They couldn't have gone up in the sky because I would have seen them as I was up in the ceiling," Blake looked around. Then he ordered everyone around him. "Check the floor and walls for any secret passages!"

Blake thought that there was definitely a hidden exit or door somewhere nearby. The enemies wouldn't have had the chance to walk their way out through the door because the backup team would have crossed paths with them and rescued Boss B and Lucien already. Since it wasn't the case now, they must have had an underground tunnel with a door somewhere around this area. Or a door to cross from this warehouse to the next one. Because they couldn't have just vanished into thin air.

When Jack heard Blake give the order, he searched for possible building blueprints on the internet. He had to hack into the government files which had authorized the construction of this warehouse building and see what he was looking for.

"There is nothing of the sort on the blueprint of this warehouse building," Jack announced as soon as he saw the blueprint's digital copy. "They must have just built it additionally unless they just chose not to declare it. It would be somewhere no one would ever expect or suspect it is what it is."

"Check anything that catches your eyes to be suspicious or strange," Blake traced the wall with his fingers to check if any lines were invisible to the eyes but traceable by touch.

Others followed Blake's lead. They knocked, pressed, pushed, and moved this and that in the area, but they could not find what they were looking for. Their men had spread out, but no one had seen who they were after.

"Give me thermal binoculars!" Blake ordered.

It was daytime, so they did not prioritize bringing such things, but there would always be a few of them assigned to carry specific items with them. And soon, Blake was handed what he had asked for. And everyone with the same thing started to look around with it.

Blake stood back where he last saw Boss B and Lucien, and from his spot, he looked at the wall to see what could be behind it. But he could not tell what exactly he was looking into. There were a lot of movements that Blake could see from where he was looking.

"Jack, what warehouse is the next to the one we are in?" Blake asked with a deep frown.

"Hold on a sec," Jack replied at an amazing speed. He searched for the answer and information Blake had just asked. "Its record says it's a warehouse for livestock animal's feeds. Why?"

"I don't feel good about this place," Blake replied. "We are moving on to the next warehouse! We can't find the path they took to get away, but we can't waste our time when we can just walk through the front door."

"What do you say, Don Leon?" Jack asked the old Michaelson's opinion on Blake's idea.

"Go! But leave enough men to guard the area. They might just be hiding somewhere we haven't seen and thinking about coming out when you leave the place," Leandro answered. "I will send more men if necessary. We can also ask for General Lockwood to assist if we don't find the two within two hours!"

"Sir, yes, sir!" Blake confirmed he got the Old Michaelson's commands.

Then Blake Gordon briefed everyone. Tristan Oliver volunteered to take the lead in securing the area in the warehouse they first arrived in, while Blake took the lead moving to the next warehouse.

"Keep searching for the passage where they could have walked out of here without noticing. And send a few men to trace that path if you find it. I will keep you all informed of whatever we might find behind that wall. Their working permit doesn't seem to state what operations they are using the warehouse for.

"Copy that!" Tristan Oliver affirmed snappily.

Blake assigned groups where to go and what to do.

"You and your team, take the roof. Get in from above."

Then he pointed at another person.

"You and the five behind you, take the west."

Then to another person.

"You take five men to get into the warehouse from the east.

Then he appointed more groups for the other directions to get into the warehouse. Everyone affirmed that they got the order loud and clear.

"Report whatever the situation in your direction, is that clear?!" Blake dismissed and gave a go signal for everyone after he confirmed everyone was ready.

While they were being briefed, a few delivery trucks from the nearby warehouse has started to move. It was far from the location where Lucien was brought after being abducted, so Jack just kept track of their plate numbers but did not give so much attention to it.

Blake and his team got into the next warehouse without using bullets. They used their guns to point and scare the people they had arrived into.

"Jack, this is not what you said it was. There is no such thing as livestock animals' feeds. It's a slaughterhouse!" Blake reported.

"Boss, team west here! There is a boy on the operating table," one of Blake's assigned men reported. "What do we do, Sir? Instructions, over!"

"What!?" Jack exclaimed. "What operating table? What operation is being done?"

The man asked the doctors performing the operation, but no one seemed willing to answer.

"Do you want to replace that boy on the table?" Blake asked as soon as he reached the west team's area. "Answer the damn question, or I swear, you will be the one lying there without anesthetics!"

Blake gave orders to search the whole area. Check every corner as Boss B and Lucien might have been drugged to sleep for their convenience, knowing a conscious Big B will be tough for them to handle. Hearing the report about a boy being on an operating table alarmed Blake so much that he chose to take the west direction as he looked around for their rescue targets.

"We are ordered to harvest the boy's kidney," one of the doctors replied. "We are also victims here. They have our families as hostages and will only be released when we do what tasks we are given to do," he sternly stated.

"Have you seen a man and a woman passed this way only earlier?" Blake asked, taking the words of the doctor to be true.

"Blake, give me a clear look of their faces," Jack ordered with a cold tone. He was not going to take any chances. Unlike Blake, Jack was not convinced of the doctor's claim. He was going to check facial recognition and identify every one of them that would appear in any database.

Blake turned his camera on. He considered Jack would check every information they could gather. But what Jack said next made Blake curse.

"That man is an ex-military Medical officer. He is under Terrence Clayton's payroll. He is not being forced to do what he is doing. But the others with him are abducted Medical practitioners, doctors, anesthesiologists, and nurses.
