Chapter 114: Chapter 114

The foolish mistake these men made was not checking Brianna thoroughly. They were scared to get too close to her,

taking the example of the one-eyed guy that led their team. They barely managed to put the chain on her when she was still weakened by the robust blast of the explosive that they never thought she would even make it to shoot midair.

They were hoping she would be more injured than she came out to be. They were hoping she would be unconscious for a while so that they could tie her up securely as they were fairly warned she is above supreme.

Brianna had been slowly moving to unlock the chain in her hands using a pin she always had during her missions. It wasn't obvious to see because Brianna would usually roll it into a ring. And with her hands behind her back and with people around her in front, she was able to do what she needed to do without being noticed. Brianna was buying time to wait for Tatum Elliott to wake up and make sure he could run for his life if not fight with her on their way out of this place. She was not going to wait for any of her men or anyone to rescue her knowing that they left to bring their family to safety.

Brianna tried to move her feet. She could walk but could never run. And not without a sound of the chains. Yet she could also use the chains on her feet if she could swing both her legs at the same time with her hands as her leverage. She saw Tatum turn his head to look up to her when that insolent man slapped her face.

"Are you good?" Brianna asked without looking at Tatum. Her eyes were fixed on the men who were keeping Brianna and Tatum captive. Tatum nodded his head in response.

Tyler Bennings and the man with blade legs looked at each other. They were asking one another who she was talking to. They did not hear anyone else answer, and Brianna did not turn her glance away from the two of them, so they were a bit confused.

"Are you good, Wesley?" Tyler asked the other guy with mockery.

"Yeah, and you?" Wesley replied sarcastically.

Wesley is what he was called after having blades for his prosthetic legs. It was derived from the actor Wesley Snipes who played the leading man role in the movie with the title "Blade". His name is Vince Garwood. A man just a few years younger than Charles but has been in the mercenary business for years. Vince Garwood stands as the great rival with Charles Anderson's business, but he had never surpassed Charles because he had Brianna, who never fails to accomplish her missions, even with her life at stake.

Wesley and Tyler came up with teaming together to get their respective goals. Tyler Bennings pretended to be a client to take the young Michaelson through Charles Anderson's mercenary team knowing Big B would be among them while Wesley tracked every family member the mercenaries would give their lives to save. They found out they had no one to take as bait for Big B, so they had to revise their plans.

They did not expect Big B to lose her memory and protect the target she was supposed to capture and deliver to their clients. Wesley and Tyler did not know that Brianna was now dedicatedly working for her client, Lucien Michaelson, and no longer working for Charles Anderson. They did not know she even shot the guy to death.

And they were not aware that a bigger troop of rescue was on their way to save these two in their captivity even as they were busy mocking, teasing, and enjoying their soon-to-be-reversed victory.

Brianna let her eyes roam around casually while the two evil men in front of her were busy having a good time. There were only six of them inside the room. Wesley, Tyler, and two guards are next to each captive.

A man came in and whispered to Tyler.

"What?!" Tyler Bennings blurted with an annoyed face. He vaulted from his chair and hurriedly left, leaving a still smiling Wesley.

"Your worthless men did anything stupid again?" Wesley roared on Tyler's back as he saw the proud young man leave the room. He was too confident that they were safe in this place. It wasn't hard to get here, but he did not doubt Big B would make it here along with her company, her team. This place has only one clear path, and of course, it has traps for outsiders. Wesley had everything under control, but only with the estimations of Big B and her team. He had Charles Anderson's team on surveillance for a while now, and he knew how many men he had or how they would usually respond. And personally speaking, he had what he wanted to have right in front of him already. He doesn't care about the rest of Big B's team. He only needed Brianna, so he let the rest of them go when they left, along with the hostages Wesley had in him to lure Brianna into this place.

Tatum knew what the guy that came in whispered to Tyler Bennings. He heard from his earpiece that the troops had already invaded the place and were heading to the room where Tatum and Anna were being held as captured. He was aware that Tyler Bennings was already running for his life while this stupid man with prosthetic legs still lingered around, waiting for his death.

Tatum started to move from his position to stand, but the guard next to him tried to press him down as he was about to. Brianna took it as a chance and gave Tatum a signal.

"Now!" Brianna yelled.

Tatum was chained only by his hand as he was known to be unconscious when they took him with Brianna to their superiors. He easily subdued the guy next to him and knocked him out, then went to help his comrade.

Brianna surprised the man guarding her side when she turned around and wound the chain on him. Everything happened so fast he did not get the chance to fight back. He was not too close to the lady while guarding, and he was laughing along with his bosses silently that he did not notice his eyes were taken off from the person he was supposed to watch over.

"What the f....!" Wesley yelled aloud. He just saw the door closing behind Tyler when he heard the sounds of chains. He had his guns with him, and he pulled them at an amazing speed, but the next thing he knew, Tatum was shooting at him, targeting his hands to make him drop his firearms. And they fell to the ground.

Knowing he was no longer armed, Brianna, who was able to remove the chains from her ankles while Tatum bought her time, leaped the distance and swang the chains around Wesley's prosthetic legs to knock him down. And he dropped to the ground on his back with a loud thud.

"Fuck!" Wesley groaned. He tried to move with his blades to attack, but Brianna shot at his every leg, right where the artificial ones were connected. This way, his legs, even his blades, were useless as his pain was from the flesh parts of his thighs.

"Now, you are going to tell me whatever you know that has anything to do with me, and I might think about letting you live," Brianna turned the chair around and sat on it with her hands leaning on its backrest and legs to its sides.

Wesley chuckled dejectedly as he also groaned in pain. He was bleeding, but as it wasn't the first time this similar scenario had happened to him, he wasn't as panicked as he was when Big B swung a freshly sharpened sword on his lower limbs.

"I don't know if I should be sad or glad to die in your hands," he sighed. "But that damned Anderson doesn't deserve you. He is the one who killed your parents so he can have you and raise you the way you are right now. He has been lying to you all this time. I bet he has never told you his real name, did he?" Wesley spoke with extreme difficulty.

"What's his real name?" Brianna asked with clenched teeth. "Tell me, and I will let you live. Not only that, I will give you everything he owns, except people. All his properties will be yours, connections, and business. But lie to me, and you will know the deepest layer of hell!"

"Wesley!" A gunshot quickly followed Tyler's voice. "Where the fuck are your men? The place is surrounded. There is nowhere to go!" Tyler hid behind the door as soon as he got in, still unaware of Wesley's condition on the ground as he himself was panicked.
