Khushi awoke to the gentle embrace of dawn's first light seeping through the curtains, casting a soft, golden hue across her cozy bedroom.

The distant chirping of birds served as her morning alarm, a harmonious reminder that a new day had begun.

Stretching her limbs beneath the warm embrace of her comforter, she blinked away the remnants of sleep, gradually reacquainting herself with the world outside her dreams.

With a yawn, Khushi reluctantly extricated herself from the comforting cocoon of her bed and planted her feet on the cool, wooden floor.

As the sunlight streamed in, it revealed a room adorned with memories. The room reminded her of Arnan's presence there.

The sight of these reminders infused her with a sense of feeling emotional but then she reminded herself that finally it is time to move on and never look back at her past again.

She moved to the bathroom, the floor tiles cool beneath her feet, and started her daily ritual.

The refreshing splash of water on her face awakened her senses, banishing the last vestiges of sleepiness.

She looked at herself in the mirror after washing her face.

"With a new day ,now you will start your new life leaving everyone and everything behind.",Khushi said looking at her image.

After a soothing shower, Khushi stood before her closet, contemplating her choice of attire for the day.

Her job required a professional appearance, so she reached for a well-tailored blouse and a pair of sleek trousers.

As she dressed, she couldn't help but admire the way the outfit made her feel confident and ready to face the world.

With her attire settled, Khushi moved to her small kitchen, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the air.

Breakfast was a simple affair , a bowl of yogurt and granola, a quick and nutritious start to her day.

As she ate, she scrolled through her emails and reviewed her schedule, mentally preparing for the tasks that awaited her at work.

The clock on the wall ticked steadily, a reminder that time was marching on.

With her morning routine complete, Khushi picked up her work bag, ensuring she had all the essentials - laptop, notebook, and a few snacks for sustenance during the day as she did not want to waste her savings on expensive food items in the canteen.

As she locked her front door, she couldn't help but feel a sense of determination and anticipation.

Khushi reached the office only to witness the chaos going on inside.

"What's happening here ? Why was everyone running here and there ?"Khushi asked one of her colleagues.

"Don't you know? Our new boss is coming today and from now onwards we will have to work under him. So everyone is busy preparing for his welcome.",The Colleague replied .

"New boss? Is Mia ma'am not our real boss?",Khushi questioned confusingly .

"No, the real owner of this hotel is not Mia ma'am but him. He had given him the responsibility to look after it under his absence. So be ready to face him and impress him with your work.",The colleague informed.

"Impress?",Khushi asked again confusingly.

"Yeah because we have heard he is really strict and crazy when it comes to work. So you better not make any mistake or give him any chance to punish you because his punishment is no less than a living hell."Her colleague shared it with her, making her feel scared.

"Oh! No...only today I thought to start all over again then only change like this happened to me. Now , I should be extra attentive and alert to save my job. Because my current situation does not allow me to lose my job for such silly reasons."Khushi gulped down in fear thinking about her new boss.

"Hey! Khushi helped me to sketch our new boss's painting. I wanted to surprise him with my painting skill.", Ava called Khushi from behind, grabbing her attention towards her.

"Yeah..coming.",Khushi responded ,walking towards her.

Ava was sketching Abeer's picture while keeping his photo on the desk.

"So how can I help you Miss.?",Khushi questioned ,passing a half smile to her.

"Give me the blue color from the box please ,"Ava requested.

"Yeah..sure.."Khushi started searching for the blue color among the different sets of colors and finally found it after searching for two minutes.

"Here. Have it. And let me too have a look at how our new boss looks.",Khushi said ,trying to take the photo frame in her hand as she was standing against Ava's desk .

"No..no madam. I can't let you see it before I finish my work. So you will have to wait for it. Now let me concentrate please honey. I don't have much time.",Ava requested ,pouting her lips.

"Okay..okay... I am not disturbing you. Focus on your work.",Khushi said smilingly.

"Khushi come inside my cabin. I have something to discuss with you."Mia ordered, coming behind her.

"Oh! Okay Ma'am. ",Khushi nodded and followed behind her to her cabin.

"Khushi as you are already aware of your new boss' arrival here. So I want to share that now you won't work under me. But today onwards you will be going to become his personal secretary. Got it?",Mia asked, exchanging glances at her.

"What? But why Ma'am ? Did I do anything wrong? Why are you changing my department ?",Khushi asked , confusingly , hearing about her new position.

"No...no you did not do anything wrong. It's just that the new boss wants a personal secretary on an urgent basis and we have no time for selecting a new candidate after evaluating him or her through all the procedures.

And when he asked me I could not recall any other name than yours for this position so relax, just keep working hard and focus on your work and you will get a promotion and bonuses from him as he appreciates his hardworking employees. ",Mia suggested , maintaining a poker face.

"Oh! Okay ma'am. Thank you so much. I will get back to my work now.",Khushi informed and left the place.

"I am now really confused about our new boss' personality. Is he really mad like what Ava said or a good one like Mia ma'am said.",Khushi thought to herself in her heart.

"Whatever he is. I will make sure to dedicate myself fully in his service so that I don't get any chance to get punished as I don't want to experience hell.",Khushi said ,gulping down in fear.
