**After fifteen days **

Everything was going smoothly in everyone's life .

Abeer was back to his normal routine ,and the fear in the town was back again with his arrival. No one dares to go against him as they don't wish death like John whose murder had set a perfect example in front of everyone that who dares to go against him will end up losing their life .

Khushi started going on with her job and started earning a decent amount of money for her day to day expenses.

Damian and Stella get back together after facing so many hurdles and are back to business too.

While Neil and his family were still busy planning and plotting against Abeer.

Scarlett was sad after she lost her contact with Abeer and was really depressed.

"Something has changed in her ,Sir. She was not the same baby Scarlett whom I knew for such a long time. She was bubbly and joyful while this one was sad and depressed.",Mrs. Briganza said, looking at her from the window outside her room.

"Umm.. I was so busy these days that I didn't get the time for her to spend. She might be feeling alone here.",Damian said looking at her.

"But now I am back and I will make sure to bring my princess's smile back on her face.""Damian said , smilingly. "And now onwards I don't need any artist to play the role of her mother and sister as now she will be going to have a real family with her.",He added, thinking about Stella's marriage with him.

"That's great Sir. I am so happy for you both.",Mrs. Briganza said happily.

"Hey! Princess look your father is back.",Damian said ,coming inside her room ,opening his arms for her.

"Daddy you are back.",Scarlett ran towards him with a huge smile on her face and embraced him tightly.

"Come on, get ready, we are going shopping and then we will have your favorite food there.", Damian said ,caressing her cheeks.

"Awiee...Okay Daddy I will get ready in two minutes. Wait for me.",Scarlett said and ran towards the washroom to get ready.

"Mrs. Briganza packs all her stuff as soon as possible. Now I'll shift her to my place.",Damian ordered. "Don't forget to pack your stuff too. ",He added.

"Yes ,Sir . I'll get them ready soon.",She nodded.

"Hello Mia , are you free? Can we talk?",Abeer asked as soon as she received the call.

"For you, I am always free, Abeer. Say what do you want ?",Mia asked smilingly.

"I want to ask if you hired a new employee last month. I want to know how she is doing ?"Abeer asked straightly, instead of rolling over here and there.

"Umm..yes her name is Khushi . That girl is quite hard working and I am really impressed with her work.",Mia said , recalling her memories.

"But why did you ask about her ? Is there any problem ?",Mia asked curiously .

"Yeah..Actually I wanted to check about my legal business growth and development so I thought to shift my work at the hotel as I can observe my employer's work keenly and about my mafia world I can shift my meetings at my own hotel . So this way I could manage both my work simultaneously. But only if you don't have any problem with that.",Abeer said hesitantly.

"Are you kidding me, Abeer ? You are the owner of this place and you are asking me . Why should I have any problem with that? Come here . I'll be more than happy to welcome you and join you here.",Mia said happily.

"Aah! One more thing. Just arrange a personal assistant for me as I need one.",Abeer ordered.

"Sure..why not ! I'll make an interview for that soon.",Mia said.

"Ah ! Actually I don't have that much time to wait for such a long time. Why don't you give me your personal assistant and appoint a new one for you?",Abeer asked curiously .

"Ah! Okay sure..Then I'll inform Khushi about that. She must be very happy to work under you.",Mia responded.

"No..no..don't tell her. I will update her myself tomorrow. ",Abeer blurted out of nowhere.

"Umm...Abeer, is there something related to her? I mean I have not seen you so interested in any girl before and now you are hiring a personal assistant who is a girl for you. Aren't you the one who believed that all girls are gold diggers and you should stay away from them?"Mia asked, suspecting of him.

"No..no..don't take me wrong . I was just trying to save my time as you know I have already wasted so much before . That's why.",Abeer tried to make an excuse to escape from the situation.

"Hmm..okay then see you at the office tomorrow. Bye.''Mia wished and hung the call.

"What happened to her suddenly ? She didn't wait for my reply and cut the call. But Thank God I was saved from getting doubted by her. After all, I deliberately shifted myself there because now all I want is Khushi back in my life.

Because in these fifteen days without her , I realized how lifeless I felt. Her mere presence is enough to bloom all the flowers of happiness back in my life.",Abeer said to himself smiling for no reason.

"Khushi , my love, get ready for your surprise tomorrow. I just hope that she doesn't forget me these days and move on in her life without me.",Abeer added ,fear clearly visible in his expressions.

"Mom, I really love her and just want to be with her for the rest of my life. Just make sure Mom that she will love me back too in the same way like mine otherwise , I have to use any other means to make her love me back.",Abeer said smiling mischievously looking at his mother's photograph hanging on the wall.

"Why was I still there waiting for him to come back in my life? When all he did to me was leave me in the middle of the path.",Khushi said , looking at the stars from her balcony.

"It has been fifteen days since his departure from my life and here I am still stuck in his memories. I don't know why I felt such a strong connection with him.

Maybe the way he handled me or made me calm during my anxiety attacks made me feel like that for him. I am still not sure how I am going to live without his presence in my life but even if he will meet me again I will make sure to not give him the same place in my heart which I gave him previously ever again as all he did to me was leaving me alone ,hurting my emotions so I can't believe him when it comes to me."Khushi said, tears well up in her eyes getting emotional .

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath to calm down her racing heartbeat, unaware of the future that fate has decided something else for her. She is going to meet the devil soon.
