Chapter 80: Alexander and Emily(1)

Note: this is a short story of Alexander and Emily.

The following morning, Alexander was about to head out when Nancy ran over to him

“Alex!!, Alex!! I want to come with you” she said as she panted heavily.

“why? ” he asked.

“ I'm bored, please don't say no, ” she said coquettishly.

“ It's fine with me, ” he said nonchalantly and she happily held onto his arm.

They got into the car, and Alexander drove out. On their way, Nancy spotted Emily walking down the street with some stack of books in her hand. She turned to Alexander and she was certain he didn't see her, he would have gone out to talk to her.

“ Alex, slow down a little. I want Pizza and I want to know which of these restaurants have the best interior design, ” Nancy said.

“  Nancy, are you okay? How can you find out when you are sitting in the car, get down and go check yourself” he said.

“ no, just do as I say, okay? ” Nancy said and poked her head out from the window. She glanced ahead of her and Emily was perhaps looking for a cab with her head lowered.

“Drive a little faster ”Nancy said and Alex did as she had said.

Just then she turned the steering wheel a little to the left and Alexander reacted swiftly and quickly took control, which resulted in him stepping hard on the accelerator.

“ Nancy, are you insane? If you wanna die just tell me and I will leave the godamn car so you can kill yourself ” he yelled at her.

Nancy pouted her lip sadly  as she glanced at the reveal mirror and a smile crept her face.

“ mission accomplished, don't worry Alex soon you will be the one to come thank me ” she thought inwardly.

“fuck!! ” Emily muttered as she glanced at her stained dress and she scrunched up her face in anger.

She looked ahead and caught sight of the car that had splashed mud on her dress “ Alex! ” she mumbled sadly.

BACK AT GLOBEX

After doing her laundry Emily sat at the balcony of her apartment with her legs crossed as the evening breeze brace her presence.

“ Why can't I stop thinking about what happened today? Alex has no business with me right? I was the one who pushed him away then why am I feeling bitter and hurt.” she said to no one in particular.

“ because you are in love sweetheart ” she heard a voice behind her and she slowly turned around.

“ Bella!! When did you arrive? ” Emily asked with a dumbfounded expression.

“ a while ago and you were in deep thoughts ” Isabella said.

“ Look Emily, I noticed you and Alexander don't talk to each other again. I had wanted to interfere but Jason said I should let you sort out two things yourself and indeed it turned out great. ” Isabella said with a smile.

“ Did he tell you the reason? ” she asked nervously.

“ he didn't disclose a thing he said it is a private matter ” Isabella said and Emily heaved a sigh of relief.

“ Emily, all that you are feeling is called love. After you two got into a fight, Haven't you felt like calling him? Haven't you checked your phone thinking you will get a message from him, Haven't you felt like seeing him. Tell me, ” Isabella said, quivering all over with excitement.

Emily nodded shyly “ yes ” she replied as she bit on her lip.

“ yay!! ” Isabella clapped her hands happily as she giggled.

“ There's nothing to be happy about. I mean it's too late now I guess. He already has a girlfriend, Nancy, ” Emily said softly.

Isabella froze for a while before bursting into laughter “ who told you she's his girlfriend huh? Nancy is Alex Elder's cousin ” Isabella announced.

“ what? You mean Nancy is older than Alex? '' she asked with a surprised look.

Isabella nodded “ yeah, Alex really does love you  and you know you are the first girl he had asked out ” she said with a silly giggle.

“ I  am?” Emily asked again.

“ Yeah, he had never been interested in getting into a relationship not until he met you and he told me it was love at first sight and I had doubted him not until he proved me wrong, ” Isabella said.

Emily smiled in satisfaction “ thank you so much for telling me ” she said.

“ Come on Emily, we are like sisters, I will always be there for you. Don't forget to sort out things with him. Jason is downstairs waiting for me ” Isabella said as she waved at her.

“ bye ” Emily said as she slumped on the couch with a long sigh.

She picked up her cellphone reluctantly, she was about to dial his number and she suddenly paused and dropped her phone on the couch.

9PM, At The Miles Residence

Alexander emerged from the bathroom as he dried up his hair with a towel he heard his phone ringing and he briskly went over to pick up.

“ Emily! ” he muttered in shock as he stared at the screen for a while in disbelief.

After relaxing his nerve he picked up and he heard her sweet voice immediately “ Alex ” she said like a whisper.

“ Emily what is wrong? ” Alexander asked worriedly.

“ I just had too much to drink. I'm fine, '' she said.

“ Are you alone? Where are you ” Alexander demanded.

“ I will text you the Address ” she said and hung up immediately.

He quickly dressed up and dashed out of his room on his way to the living room. He met Nancy “ Alex, where are you going by this time ”she asked.

“ I'm going out for a while, I will be back soon ” he said and without waiting for her reply he headed out of the house.

He drove himself to the address and he arrived at a nightclub.

“ What is Emily doing in a nightclub? '' he wondered. He had heard a lot of bad stuff has been happening lately in this particular club.

He parked the car and quickly went in, he looked around for her figure inside the crowd but he didn't see a shadow of her. He sent her a message and he went up immediately.

Alexander pushed the door of the private room and he saw Emily having wine as she leaned on the couch.

It had been days they met each other after the court case and she had changed her hairstyle. Her hair was no longer brown but black and it looked a little shorter. She suddenly looked even prettier to him.

Emily stood up and walked over to him “ Alex you are here ” she mumbled as she hugged him.

Alexander stared at her with shock. This was the first time she had given him a hug and he couldn't deny the fact that he really liked it and hoped they could remain in this position forever.

After some while she raised her head and stared at him “ Alex, I'm sorry for being a bitch ” she said in a gentle tone

“ It's all in the past now , you don't have to apologise to me, ” he said nonchalantly.

“ You know Alex have been a fool all this while I had feelings for this one guy and I thought I was in love with the other ” Emily said.

“ What are you talking about? ” He knew the answer to the question but he couldn't believe it.

“ Alex, I love you ” Emily said as she shyly looked away from him.

“ umm, Emily, what did you say?” he couldn't believe his ears.

“ I said I love you ” she repeated this time while staring into his eyes.

“ Emily, are you even sure? ” he asked as he placed his hand on her shoulder.

She leaned closer, and held his head as she kissed him on the lips. “ Have you gotten the answer to your question?” she said.

Alexander could only stare at her, it was just a light peck on the lips but he felt a current pass through his body immediately their lips touched.

“Emily, you know have always loved you and I'm glad you feel the same way about me ” Alexander said with a smile.

“ so, should we give it a try? ” she said as she played with her fingers.

“ of course we are ” he said and this time around he kissed her and Emily reciprocated. The kiss lasted longer than expected and it started bringing some sort of lust and desire.

Alexander slowly broke the kiss, Emily held onto his hand as she stared at his face “ Alex, I want you to touch me ” she said.

“ You said what? ” Alexander asked.

“ aren't things moving too fast? ” he thought.
