Chapter 73: meet my cousin Nancy

Gosh! That was so awkward“ she heaved a sigh of relief as she went outside the hospital for fresh air.

Back in the ward

“ Son, your arm is injured and your mind is thinking about perverted stuff, ” she said.

“ Mom, I was in the middle of something, what do you want to say? ” he said impatiently.

Mrs Harrison was stunned “ he had become even more shameless ” she thought to herself.

“ I came to give you  good news,the doctor said you can be discharged tomorrow there's an improvement after the test was conducted ” she said with a smile.

“ That's good, ” he thought as a smile appeared on his face.

“ but I'm not sure about the condition of your arm after what you both did a while ago. I will ask the doctor to conduct another test ”she said with a frown.

“ Mom, there's no need, my arm is fine ” he said quickly.

“ Oh really? you were doing strenuous activities with your injured arm. That's final, the doctor will conduct another test right away ” she said heading out.

“ fuck! ” he cursed under his breath. His mom had ruined his fun.

The following morning,

MILES RESIDENCE

Alexander was lying on the bed in a drunken state. He was no longer in the right frame of mind; he felt his head spinning and his sight blurry. He had been drinking all night trying to get what Emily did off his head.

He heard his phone ringing, he fumbled his bed and he luckily found it.

He could hardly open his eyes. He glanced at the caller ID and it was Nancy.

“ Hey , I'm in New York right now. I'm on my way to your house ” she said cheerfully.

“ Oh that's great, ” he said weakly.

“ Alex, what's wrong? ” she could sense he isn't alright from his voice.

“ I'm having a terrible hangover, ” he said softly over the phone.

“ Just hang on, I'm almost there, ” she said and hung up.

Soon later, he heard footsteps approaching closer and closer and Nancy came into the room with some hangover drugs.

“ I stopped by to get this, ” she said as she helped him up.

Alexander drank the pill  and laid down back for a while with his eyes closed.

Harrison's Manor

Jason was finally discharged from the hospital. Mrs Harrison suggested they move back to the Manor so she could keep a close watch on him.

Later that evening,back upstairs Isabella lay down on the bed as she watched him put on his shirt.

“ When are we going to get to the last step ”he suddenly asked.

Isabella felt like her feet were on fire. She really couldn't stay calm when facing this topic “ I don't know ” she said looking away.

“ What do you mean you don't know? ” he asked purposely.

Isabella chuckled softly “ we are going out to watch a movie tonight right? ” she tried to interchange the topic.

Not so fast he said and lifted her on the reading table, pinning her with nowhere to run to.

“ cupcake! ” he said in a magnetic voice that could melt one's heart.

She stared into his face lustfully. She suddenly woke up from her thoughts “ I…I thought we made an agreement on this issue?” she answered with a question.

“ cupcake I really can't wait any longer ” he said in a pitiful tone as he placed the locks of her hair behind her ear gently.

Isabella's mind was in total chaos, she wasn't ready and she didn't know how to say no to that face he was making.

She could only pray for his mom to barge in as usual just as she closed her eyes still hoping. The sounds of her phone ringing unfolded her eyes.

“ I will get it, ” she said instantly as she dropped down from the table.

“ Hey mum, ” Isabella said happily.

Jason walked out of the room immediately.

“ Baby, I will be coming back soon. I hope you remember ” Mrs Andrew said.

“ oh….right ” she heard, totally forgetting that Christmas Eve was approaching.

Mrs Andrew laughed “ I'm sure you have forgotten. so how is your relationship with Jason ” she asked.

“ We are doing great, ” Isabella simply answered.

She was grateful to Mrs Harrison for not informing her mother that she was kidnapped. She knew her mom might have overreacted to the extent of sending her to China.

After she hung up, she also got ready and came downstairs.

Jason raised his head and glanced at her, before he could speak Zoey came towards them already dressed, with her makeup done.

“ And where are you heading to? ” he asked quizzically.

“ I'm coming with you, ” Zoey said as she flip her hair backwards.

“ I'm sorry we don't need any third party, ” Jason said unceremoniously.

Zoey rolled her eyes at him “ I know Chris is going to be there so don't you dare lie to me am coming along and that's it. ”she said.

Jason sighs loudly with no choice but to let her tag along.

Jason's car slowly came to a halt, they got down and went into the cinema.

Zoey used her eyes to search around for chris. “ Brother, where is Chris? ” she asked.

Just then,Zoey spotted Chris and Chloe sitting on a bench while talking and laughing.

She quickly walked over to them,“ Chris! “ she called out.

Chloe and Chris turned to her direction as they both stood up.

” I have missed you “ Zoey pouted her lip and held onto his arm.

Chloe felt Chris release her hand that was intertwined with his.

She could only stare at them both with hurt and sadness in her eyes.

Isabella drew closer to her ” Chloe are you alright?“ she whispered.

Chloe nodded her head with a fake smile on her face.

” Where's Emily?” Isabella asked.

“ I'm sure Alexander will bring her over, ” Chloe said.

Just then, Alex walked over to them wearing a black pants and a blue hoodie with a young lady who was holding onto his arm. She was wearing a purple dress with her bob length hair.

She had cat-like eyes with thick lashes  that looked bewitching and attractive, she had a straight nose and cherry-like lips, she was indeed a beauty.

“ Oh wow, who is this beauty? ” Isabella couldn't help but ask as they stood in front of them.

“ Oh everyone , meet my cousin Nancy, ” Alexander said.

“ Nancy meet my childhood friends ” he said and introduced each one of them to her.

“ It's nice meeting you Nancy, ” Isabella said with a smile.

“ Alex has told me alot about you all. It's nice meeting you guys, ” Nancy replied with a polite smile.

“ er…… I guess Emily isn't coming again ” Isabella said, bringing out her phone from her bag, about giving Emily a call.

“ I'm here ” they all heard a voice from behind and they turned in unison.

Emily approached them and the smile on her face faded immediately she saw Nancy's hand wrapped around Alexander's arm.

“ Since we are all here,let's go in, ” Jason said as he held onto Isabella's hand.

“ Wait, I want popcorn,” Isabella said while pouting her lips.

“ Let's go get popcorn then, ” Emily said and Chloe nodded.

Nancy stared at Alexander with a pitiful look “ fine you can go join them” he said and she walked over to their direction immediately.

“ Oh Nancy , do you want popcorn too?” Isabella asked.

“ Yeah, ” she nodded with a smile.

“ I will get popcorn for Chris ” they heard Zoey's voice from behind.

“ Oh that's right, I will also get popcorn for your brother, ” Isabella said.

“ Alex doesn't like popcorn. I will get him cola instead,” Nancy said and Emily stared at her.

They bought popcorn and cola before going into the theatre,they took their seats  which were in the middle row.

Today they were watching a romantic movie which was suggested by the ladies even though the guys weren't fans they didn't have a choice but to compromise with it.

In the middle of the movie, Emily kept staring at Nancy and Alexander who were sharing a drink.

She was shocked by Alexander's change of behaviour, if she was told a day would come when she wouldn't mean anything to him she wouldn't believe.

He didn't even look at her direction for once and she didn't know why she was suddenly feeling hurt. She glanced at his side profile of his face, he was looking really handsome tonight.

the new haircut looks really good on him“  she thought.

” Who is that beautiful lady? Is she his girlfriend? If that's the case then he must have been playing with my emotions  all this while“ She was totally lost in her thoughts that she didn't realise the movie was over.

” That was a great movie, “ Isabella said as she wiped her tears with her palm.

Jason pinched her waist ” do you really have to cry for a movie stop being melodramatic “ he said.

” I'm not, the movie is so beautiful. Miranda lost a good man like Jack all because she loves the other guy who doesn't even care about her existence “ Isabella said.

Emily came out of her thoughts only to hear what Isabella said. ” Why does the movie look similar to my life? “ she said inwardly.
