Chapter 64: Is he asleep?

Chloe didn't even have the time to think about anything unrelated to Isabella's safety. The trio was driven to the hospital by the Chauffeur immediately.

Chloe had already called Chris on her way over there. Arriving at the entrance of the hospital they sighted Chris walking over with a sullen expression.

He got to them and stared at Olivia and Liam and back at Chloe like he was looking for an explanation.

Chloe rolled her eyes at him “ look they are all worried about Isabella. Let's go in ” she urged him.

They all got in with Chris leading the way, Olivia drew nearer to Chloe “ why are we in the hospital I thought we were going to look for Bella ” she asked with her brows knitted.

Chris turned around and glanced at her “ Jason had been admitted to the hospital and his condition is a bit serious ” he said and walked forward.

Olivia stared at Chloe with her eyes widened “ oh my what's going on today? ” she said.

Soon they arrived at the ward and Jason had started undergoing the treatment. Mrs Harrison and Zoey were sitting on the chair opposite to the ward.

Immediately Chloe walked over Mrs Harrison looked around “ Chloe where is Bella? ”she asked

“ shit!” Chloe cursed under her breath. She hadn't even come up with a lie for this.

“er… aunty Isabella will be here soon she's having a very important test ”  luckily Chris covered up for her.

She glanced at him with a thank you look.

Zoey sneered “ what is more important than my brother, she would rather write a silly test than to stay by my brother's side at his most difficult time. It's this what is called love ” she said unceremoniously while chewing on her gum noisily.

Mrs Harrison's expression wasn't looking that good either  she might have felt hurt and affected by what Zoey said.

Chloe felt like giving Zoey a slap; she suddenly had the urge to tell everyone that Isabella is missing so Mrs Harrison wouldn't misunderstand her.

“ It's not like that okay?. Who said she didn't love him? She had come to the hospital  to see him before you showed up ” Chloe lied.

Zoey rolled her eyes and her gaze travelled back to her phone. She started taking selfies while making cute faces. She quickly updated her status.

“ # morning face # natural look. ” just a few minutes after she had already gotten more than five thousand likes and comments.

“ oh my gosh Princess Zoey looks so pretty ”

” ahhh! My biggest crush “

She kept receiving praises and her lips curled up into a big smile.

Chris shook his head ” you are unbelievable Zoey “ he said and angrily walked into the ward.

Zoey pouted her lip ” what did I do wrong? If I don't care about my brother's health then what will I be doing here in the first place? “ she said to Mrs Harrison who wasn't even looking in her direction.

Chloe followed behind him. Liam and Olivia stayed back as the doctor had instructed them not to crowd up in the VIp ward.

She glanced at Jason who was lying on the bed with his eyes closed.

” Is he asleep? “ she asked softly like a whisper.

Alexander nodded ” hey have you guys found out anything about Bella? '' he asked.

Chloe's features were suddenly clouded with sadness. ” We haven't found any clue yet. Where are we going to start looking from “ she said, slapping her forehead frustratedly.

Chris rested his chin on his palm, he titled his head and snapped his fingers  suddenly.

Their gaze went back to him as they both  awaited his plan. ” Guys, I think I know who must have done this, “ he said.

” Last night I got a call from Mr Jackson before finding out about Jason's condition. He called to inform me that Emma had run away from home and she might be planning on  seeking her revenge on Isabella and we should stay alert.“

” too bad she lunged her attack unexpectedly. What a bitch! “ Alexander said.

Chloe balled her fist tightly ” I can't wait, immediately we find Emma I will make sure I kill her with my hands and I will make her suffer so much before she dies a horrible death “ she said as her gazed burned with hatred.

” not if I kill her first “ they suddenly heard a voice and they all turned their gaze.

” Jason you how.. did.. you I mean we're you listen to our conversation “ Chloe asked while stuttering.

Jason glanced at all of them weakly and suddenly pulled out the drip from his hand.

” I have had enough of Emma. I won't think twice to kill her if she touches even a strand of hair from Bella “ he said with a very icyly voice.

Chloe gulped down her saliva. She had never seen Jason this angry and serious over anything.

She was happy that he cared about Bella. She also wanted to believe that the evidence against him was a lie but anytime she thought back to those photos she couldn't help but blame him.

” hey! Calm down“ they quickly stopped him from getting out of bed.

” What do you mean I should calm down? I should let Emma get away with it “ he said and he finally climbed down from the bed.

” Guys lower your voice. Your mom doesn't know anything about it“ Chloe said.

Jason nodded ” that's good no one should tell her she might begin to panic. “

As they were drafting out a plan, Chloe glanced at the caller ID on her phone that was ringing.

” Oh no! Isabella's mom is calling me “ she said nervously.

Everyone's mood withered. ” Pick up or she might be suspicious, “ Jason said.

Chloe nodded. ” Hey aunty, “ she said, trying to sound calm.

” Chloe have been trying to reach out to your sister but her line is switched off. Is she perhaps with you? “ Mrs Andrew said.

Chloe widened her eyes and she could swear she was on the verge of crying.

” How many more lies will you tell Chloe? ” she thought inwardly.

” Bella is having a very important test. I guess that's why she switched off her phone, “ she said with a small laugh.

” Okay once she gets home tell her to give me a call “ she said and hung up.

Chloe heaved a sigh of anxiety ” guys what should we do now “ she asked.

” I need to get out of here first and you guys have to help me do that by getting rid of my mom and sister. “ Jason said.

” dude you are still sick and you are undergoing treatment currently. I think the three of us can handle this “ Alexander said.

” you think I will respond to any fucking treatment when I am fully aware that Isabella is in the custody of that psychopathic bitch “ Jason said as his hands squeezed into a fist.

” I have an idea to get rid of your mom and Zoey,“ Alexander said.

” In the meantime I will go and see what I can get from Zoey, she's Emma's friend after all she might know something “ Chris said and sauntered out.

And that moment Emily barged in.

” I am so sorry for coming late. immediately I saw Alex's message and I rushed over here. Guys is Isabella going to be alright “ she asked with a tensed look on her face.

” We don't know yet. “ Chloe said.

Chris and Alexander left the ward to carry out the plan.

In the outskirts of New York

Isabella felt like she couldn't keep up any longer. She kept trying to break her hands free but to no avail. ” fuck! “ she cursed frustratedly.

At this moment sounds of footsteps suddenly came from the door.  The door was pushed open and Emma came in and pulled the blindfold off Isabella's face.

The sun shone bright directly to her eyes, she looked away for a while trying to adjust to the sunlight. After a short while She looked at the person standing right in front of her with a vicious smile.

”Emma! “ she exclaimed.

She wasn't even surprised she knew it must be Emma.

” yeah that's right “ Emma said and bent slightly to her level.

” tsk! tsk! “ she clicked her tongue as she sized Isabella up.

” Long time no see Isabella “Emma said and one of her subordinates brought a chair for her. She smiled and sat right in front of isabella.

” You remembered I told you this day will come when you will be at my mercy “ she said casually while inspecting her finger nails.

” You think I will beg you. Fuck you! “ Isabella yelled at her.

Emma flew into rage; she abruptly stood up and gave Isabella a slap. ” Shut up! I'm the boss here! “ she screamed crazily and gave Isabella another slap.

” Isabella Andrew I hate you so much ” she yelled and kept hitting her face till she was satisfied.

Isabella winced in pain with her face a little reddened and swollen.

Emma burst into laughter, her eyes twinkled and the corners of her lips rose into a big smile.

“Oh my dear Bella,  I haven't even started with you yet. I won't give you an easy death. A boyfriend snatcher like you is supposed to die in a very tragic way, ” Emma said, pressing her fingers to her cheek.

She suddenly brought out a Swiss army knife from her pocket “ how about we play a game. Tell me which part of your face should we start with ” she said and laughed crazily again while bringing the knife closer to Isabella's face.
