Chapter 63: you are so unbelievable sometimes

*Flash back

“ Finally I'm home, “ Chris said with a very long sigh of fatigue as he finally landed on his bed.

He was so exhausted he regretted letting the two get very drunk. In the end he was the one who ended up as the driver.

He took off his shoes and was about to head into the bathroom to take a shower when he suddenly heard his phone ringing.

It was Mr Jackson calling at this time. He screwed up his face. Immediately he picked up and heard Mr Jackson's tensed voice over the phone.

” Son have been trying to reach Jason's line for some few hours now but he isn't picking. '' Mr Jackson said.

” We went out for some drinks and I just dropped him off a while ago. He must be too drunk to pick up his phone, “ Chris said nonchalantly.

” Look, you need to inform him that Emma is on the loose. She ran away from home this evening and we haven't heard any news about her. I just informed the police to look for her. She might have gone out to seek revenge on Jason's fiancee. “ Mr Jackson said in one breath.

Chris was stunned he didn't know that it had gone this far. He thought it was just a minor issue all this while.

” Alright uncle, I will inform him about it. Thanks.“ he hung up.

He also tried Jason's number but he wasn't picking his subconscious told him to go check on Jason and that was how he arrived at globex and met Jason lying on the floor unconsciously.

He quickly took him to the hospital and he called Isabella but she wasn't picking up. He had to call Chloe and ask her to inform Isabella about Jason's condition.

********Flash back end ********

” Look Chris, I don't know what is going on. Tell me quickly is Jason okay? “ she asked worriedly.

She could feel her heart racing already like it was about to pop out of her chest. Her thoughts couldn't help but run wild.

” Look Bella Jason is in a critical condition and he's presently in the hospital and he refuses to cooperate unless you come “ Chris said softly.

Isabella's eyes were already flooding with tears ” is he okay? Which hospital? I will come right away “ she said and hung up.

” Chloe! Chloe! “ she ran upstairs to her room.

She came into the room  immediately throwing away her courtesy” Chloe how could you keep something this important from me “ she said angrily.

Chloe crossed her arm over her chest ” what are you talking about? Do you really believe Jason, he might be pulling some kinds of tricks to get you to forgive him “ she said calmly.

” You are so unbelievable sometimes. Anyways, I am going to check on him “ she said and left the house.

She couldn't even wait for the chauffeur to get the car prepared. She ran out of the house immediately with her mind in chaos.

She flagged a taxi and there were two men already sitting in it. She  quickly gave the driver the address of the hospital.

All her mind could think about was Jason's condition. She remembered Chris mentioning that he was  coughing blood and the doctor said he was in a critical state.

Suddenly she felt her sight  become blurry and her vision went blank immediately.

She slumped on the shoulder of the man who was sitting next to her. The two men glanced at each other as a smirk appeared on their faces.

He opened her bag and brought out her cellphone and threw it out of the window of the moving vehicle.

The subordinate immediately made a phone call ” Miss we have abducted her successfully. She's such a piece of candy. We are bringing her to the warehouse outskirts, “ he said.

The driver's lips curved upward; he was clearly in cahoots with the men.

” great. Immediately you get there and our plan is a success I will transfer the money to you “ a lady's voice could be heard.

They all nodded with a satisfactory smile on their faces.

” What a beauty I feel like having her right here and now “ one of the lady's subordinates said as he sized Isabella up and his gaze fixated on her breasts.

” What nonsense are you saying you pervert! Don't ruin  this job for us like you always do. Can't you see a woman without thinking of getting in between her legs “ the second subordinate said while giving him a deadly glare.

He chortled,  ” I'm just kidding. No need to get all mad “ the first subordinate said, throwing his hands in the air like a sign of submission, nevertheless his gaze remained on Isabella.

Few hours later, Isabella finally opened her eyes weakly; she noticed her vision was dark and immediately understood that she was blind folded and tied up to a chair. She tried to break her hands free but it was just too tight and couldn't match up to her current strength as she felt very weak to the extent she couldn't even struggle. All she could remember was that she was in the taxi and she suddenly felt dizzy.

” Where am I? And  Who did this to me?“ A line appeared between her brows as she wondered to herself.

“ hello! Anyone here ” she yelled as loud as she could even though she felt like all her throat and strength had been drained up.

She could hear some footsteps coming closer and closer and she could pick-up the sounds of unlocking the door.

“  You are finally awake, what do you want? ” she heard a man's deep voice that sounded totally unfamiliar to her.

“ Who are you and why did you kidnap me? ” she asked, still trying to stay calm.

Her only concern presently was to leave this place and go to the hospital to see Jason.

She could hear the man chuckling codly.

“ Once our boss gets here all your questions will be answered, ” he said to her.

“ Who's your boss and what did I do wrong ?” she asked with a deep frown on her face.

“ Lady, stop asking me damn questions and wait for the boss to arrive, ” the man spat out angrily and left.

Isabella could only be hoping it wasn't who she was thinking about.

Back at the Andrew's

Chloe was munching on some grapes in the living room while watching a movie. Her phone began to ring and she picked it up instantly.

“ What is it Chris? I can't believe you and Jason are playing such cheap tricks to lure Isabella out of the house, ” she said and threw some grapes into her mouth.

“ Chloe, enough of all this. Why did you stop Isabella from coming? She said she was on her way some few hours ago and she hadn't gotten to the hospital yet. If you don't want to believe that's fine but why are you stopping her  ” Chris said raising his voice.

Chloe knitted her brows “ Chris why are you yelling at me. Isabella isn't at home. She left the house immediately after you called her ” she said.

“ Are you sure she was coming to the hospital? Where is she now ? Look, I have been trying to call her number but it's switched off.

” Maybe she had thought about it and realised that you both were just playing pranks with her, that's why she didn't show up “ Chloe said unceremoniously while leaning her back on the chair.

Chris hung up on her instantly.

Chloe chuckled ” bunch of dummies they think Isabella will fall for their stupid plans “ she said as her gaze travelled back to the TV.

Not so long Chris video called her and turned the back camera and Chloe could clearly see the pale looking Jason on the hospital bed with an oxygen mask she stared at him with her eyes wide open.

” you…..you are…are right. I'm so sorry “she said as she lowered her gaze guiltily.

” Look, that isn't the problem now. How can we get in contact with Isabella is the issue. Let's wait for some time am calling Jason's mom right away so she can persuade him to get on with the treatment. We can't wait for Isabella any longer, “ he said and hung up.

Chloe wandered where Isabella must have gone to. She quickly put on her shoes and ran outside and the chauffeur was just bringing the car right in time

She hastily went over to Isabella's department to check if she was in school. Unfortunately a lecture was going on and she wasn't allowed to interrupt. With this in mind she waited for 15 minutes while pacing around with a grave expression on her face. Immediately classes ended she spotted Liam and Olivia and she rushed over to them.

” hey. Have any of you seen Bella today? I mean did she come to school? “ Chloe asked.

” no we haven't “ they said almost together.

” Oh no! This is bad “ Chloe mumbled and she suddenly thought about Emily. She dialled Emily's number but she didn't pick up.

Chloe sighs loudly. She instantly gave Chris a call ” look Bella is not in school and neither is she at the hospital  which means she might be missing“ she said still panting.

After speaking with Chris for a while she hung up and turned to Liam and Olivia” thank you guys I have to go now “ before she could even take a step they stopped her.

” What happened to Bella? “ Liam asked instantly.

Her chest rose and fell with rapid breaths she had run over to Isabella's department that was quite far away from where the chauffeur was allowed to park  ” I think Isabella is missing“ Chloe managed to say with her breaths quickened.

Liam and Olivia stared at her with dumbfounded expressions on their faces ” what! “ she uttered.

” Look I have to go guys ” before Chloe could move they both insisted that they wanted to come with her.
