Chapter 60: Cupcake am sorry please will you let me explain myself.

“ I don't think Chloe should be interfering in their affairs. She should let them sort out their problems by themselves I don't appreciate whatever plan she's coming up with ” Alexander said picking up his phone.

“ What are you doing? Chris asked as he watched Alexander making a call.

“ I can't keep this so-called secret any longer. I will give Jason a call and tell him her whereabouts ” Alex said.

“ dude that will only make Isabella angrier there's nothing Jason can say right now to defend himself and she's currently sick do you want her condition to become worse ” Chris said.

Alexander became silent and Chris was right.  He nodded and cut the phone before it got connected.

“ Jason should  have  never gone to see that bitch at the hotel. ” Alexander said. He was quite aware that Chantal likes Jason from the start.

Chris nodded “ I would also like to hear his part of  the story.”  While they were busy talking, Alexander 's cell phone started ringing.

” Hey dude. Did you get any information about Isabella I just saw your call now “ Jason said in one go.

Alexander pressed his lips together ” no. Bro just come over to my place, let's think about a way to look for her together “ he lied and hung up.

After another 10 minutes, Jason arrived and plopped down on the couch. He palmed his forehead frustratedly.

Chris and Alexander exchange glances before turning back to jason.

” Where must have Isabella gone to? I hope it isn't Emma?. Yes it must be Emma. I won't spare that bitch today “ Jason yelled and rose to his feet.

Alexander and Chris quickly stopped him. ” How sure are you that it's Emma who's behind it? “ Chris said.

” If not Emma then who else, Emma has a psychological disorder OLD and she has been talking about how she's going to hurt Isabella she's all crazy now “ he said in one breath.

Chris and Alexander were dumbfounded. They didn't even know anything about it. No wonder Jason has been going crazy searching for Isabella like she was a little kid.

” Guys, I will go over to her place. I won't spare her today “ he said, almost heading to the door.

” bro stop! Isabella is at her house right now “  Alexander yelled.

Chris shot him a look.  Alexander spread his hands wide ” am sorry. I can't watch this any longer“ he said to Chris.

Jason was a little furious ” so you two knew about it and you kept me in the dark. Do you know how worried sick I was about her. How could my best friends do something like this? I love Isabella for Christ sake “ he said with anger emitting within him.

Chris and Alexander bowed their heads guiltily. ”Look Bella is running a fever and the doctor said she needs rest and you know if she sees you right now her condition might get worse “ Chris said.

Alexander also nodded.

Jason shaked his head and stomped out angrily. Alexander pursed his lips ” I think you should inform Chloe that Jason is coming over “

Chris gave him an angry look ” weren't you the one who told him the truth. Deal with it yourself “ Chris said and also headed out.

Alexander stared at the door that was almost pulled down by Chris in disbelief. ” How did it result in all this? “ Alexander thought.

Back At The Andrew's

Isabella slowly opened her eyes, she batted her lashes and glanced around. She remembered that she suddenly felt her body burning up and she almost passed out.

She sat up and picked up her phone from the bedside table. She was shocked when she saw 100+ unanswered calls from Jason.

Her mind travelled back to those pictures she balled her fist tightly in anger. She glanced at the time, It was already 1pm.

” How long have I been sleeping? "She asked no one in particular.

She went to her bathroom to freshen up. She wore a simple dress and came out.

Maria and Chloe glanced at each other ” Isabella where are you going to. You are still sick “ Maria said.

” Aunty am fine. I'm having a test today and I can't afford to miss it. Besides, the chauffeur will take me and bring me back, ” she said and headed out.

Chloe was stunned Isabella is one strong woman. She still has the time to think about a test after all that has happened.

Maria turned and glanced at her daughter “ Chloe, is there something you aren't telling me?” she asked.

Chloe laughed “ no mom absolutely nothing ” she said while lowering her gaze.

“ Then where is Jason? Why did Isabella come back home in the middle of the night and how did she end up with a fever ” her mother said, bombarding her with different questions.

Chloe gulped down her saliva nervously “ er…Jason is out of town for now, he didn't want Isabella to be lonely so he sent her back home last night and the fever part I guess after Jason left she must have went out to play in the rain and caught a cold in the process. ” she lied.

Even Chloe was shocked that her lie came out smoothly “ damn! Chloe you are something else ” she thought inwardly.

Her mom nodded. Chloe heaved a sigh of relief she was about to go upstairs when Jason suddenly rushed in.

“ Where is Isabella? "It was the first thing he asked, not noticing Maria who was staring at him with a confused look.

Maria glanced at Chloe with confusion written all over her face.

Chloe almost wanted to cry how many more  lies is she going to tell today.

“ oh Jason you are back so soon, Isabella just went out didn't she give you a phone call ” she said with a fake smile.

Jason understood immediately “  Isabella forgot something important. Can you come out to collect it for her ” he said.

“ Sure, ” Chloe replied.

“ Aunty, I will take my leave now, ” he said, turning to Maria before heading out with Chloe.

Back at the garden Chloe crossed her arm over her chest. “ What do you want? ” she asked sternly.

“ Chloe, are you giving me an attitude or do you also think that I had an affair with Chantal? “ Jason asked.

” All the evidence points against you so what do you expect us to believe? Look Isabella doesn't want to see or talk to you just let her be “ Chloe said.

” I really want to see her, I heard she's having a fever, “ Jason said softly.

Chloe could clearly see the sadness in his eyes but yet she ignored it ” there's no need for that she has me to take care of her “ Chloe said and was about to walk away.

” don't forget she's my fiancee and I have all the right to see her, '' Jason said, making her turn around to him.

Chloe shook her head ” Bella isn't home, she left for school “ she said and finally walked away.

Jason pressed his lips together. It was really his fault. He shouldn't have gone out without informing her.

He quickly drove his car back to school. He rushed over to her department.

He could clearly see her through the window. She was writing with her head lowered, looking calm and peaceful.

” Isabella, you are such a fool. You are running a fever and you still came for a test “ he said softly he couldn't help but smile as he gazed at her.

After the test, the students started coming out one after the other, the ladies were stealing glances of Jason ,while some of them stuck around talking with their friends.

Isabella came out with Olivia and Liam behind her.

Jason quickly straightened himself, he watched the way Isabella walked past him,completely ignoring his presence.

He suddenly felt his heart ache badly. Did it really have to amount to this? ” he asked.

He quickly ran after her, he pulled her to a hug “ Bella are you alright? ” he asked softly.

Immediately he pulled her to a hug. His scent engulfed her completely. She could feel her eyes become teary. She was yearning for his comfort yesterday. She felt a sense of security in his arm and at the same time she felt betrayed. nevertheless she pushed him away.

“ cupcake, I'm sorry , please let me explain myself ” Jason said.

Isabella didn't say anything, she only stared at his face like he was some kind of high-tech gadget.

Jason slowly came closer to her “ cupcake please say something. Your silence is killing me ”

Jason suddenly grabbed her waist and kissed her lips but Isabella quickly pushed him and gave him a tight slap on his face.

The sound was so loud that the student nearby gasped from shock even Liam and Olivia who were standing behind her  were no exception to this.

Jason didn't even care “ cupcake hit me more if that's going to make you forgive me ”he said using her hand to hit  himself.

Isabella yanked her hand off  his grip “ Jason I don't want to see your face just stay away from me ” she said and walked away.

Olivia and Liam followed behind her with a dumbfounded look on their faces.

Everyone in the school knew how lovey dovey  they were with each other. How did it turn out this way was the question in everyone's head.
