Chapter 59: Miss what happened to you ?

Isabella was still fully awake; she just couldn't fall asleep. She decided to play some games to pass the night. She had tried Jason's number again  like forever and he still wasn't picking.

She was playing games when a message suddenly popped up on her phone screen from an unknown number. She furrowed her brows and tapped on the picture. Immediately she saw it she felt like she was stroked with lightning she just couldn't believe her eyes.

She sat up quickly and read the message attached to it “ Pictures  of your loyal boyfriend ”  with a laughing emoji.

Her hands trembled and her phone dropped to the ground “no this can't be possible Jason can't do something like this. It's all a lie ” she yelled.

She was trying to convince herself but unknown to her  hot tears were already streaming down her cheeks. “ it has to be a lie ” she ran her fingers into her hair.

She felt like her heart was about to crash. She could feel her whole body turning weak and helpless. Jason was together with Chantal and he didn't pick her calls and now they were kissing in a hotel room so they were spending the night together.

The more she thought about it, the more she felt her heart ache and she felt like her world was coming down right in front of her. she began to sob loudly like a child. She just couldn't take this slap on her face.

She rose to her feet with alot of questions in her head. She used to think she was smart but she felt like a fool as there was no explanation that she could come up with for these pictures. She put on her slippers and left the house in the stormy weather. She didn't even have a destination in mind; she just wanted to go far away from anything that has to do with Jason.

She was wandering through the chilly weather in the middle of the night and the rain mixed together with her tears. Alot of thoughts kept running through her mind she remembered the day she asked him why he left the house in a hurry and he said it was Chris who called what Jason didn't know was she met Chris the following week she brought up the issue but Chris looked like he didn't have an idea even though he was still trying to cover up Jason's lies. She also remembered  Liam's question the day they were in the library.

“ Does Liam know about Chantal and Jason “she said with her eyes widened.

She took in a deep breath and raised her head to her realisation she had got home. The only place she could hide her pain and suffering. The gate was opened and she went in. She walked into the living room where her aunt and uncle were nowhere to be seen. She was quite glad she didn't want them to ask her any questions.

Lucy was dumbstruck to see her in this state “ Miss what happened to you?” she couldn't help but ask.

“ Lucy I'm fine please don't tell anyone I'm home yet. I will speak to everyone tomorrow ” she said and dragged her feet upstairs.

She turned up the lights in her room luckily for her some of her stuff was still there. She threw herself on her warm bed, she closed her eyes and all she could see was those pictures. She felt like it was hunting her in her sleep and it made her heart ache even more. She felt like she was dying slowly. Tears swamped up her eyes again and she couldn't help but bury her face into her pillow and cry her eyes out.

It Was Dawn Again

Isabella's eyes were wide open; it was all red and swollen. She wrapped herself inside her quilt and her gaze remained at the window. The weather looked good today  but her situation was the opposite.

She could clearly hear Chloe's voice outside her door. “ Isabella isn't here. But where did she go? "Chloe asked someone on the phone.

No one knew she was inside her room, she didn't want to see or speak to anyone again. The fact that Jason spent the night with Chantal broke her heart. She wasn't able to fall asleep and her thoughts kept running wild.

Her phone started ringing and it was a call from Chloe. Before she could put her phone on silent mode. Chloe barged in and found her on the bed.“ like seriously? Isabella you are here and you made all of us worried about you ” Chloe said and walked over to her.

She noticed Bella's eyes were red and swollen “ oh my God, what happened to you? ” Chloe said and placed her hand on Isabella's neck.

“ I think you are running a fever,” Chloe said.

“ I will call the doctor ” Chloe said about dialling the doctor's number but Isabella stopped her.

“ I'm fine. Don't call the doctor ” Isabella said in a weak voice.

“ Bella, you are not fine. What happened to you? you were fine last night and…… ”

Isabella couldn't hold back her tears when she remembered everything that happened last night. “ Chloe I'm not fine ” she said pulling Chloe to a hug.

Chloe was stunned “Isabella why are you crying? What happened, please say something ” Chloe asked in a calm voice.

“ Chloe Ja.. Jason is cheating on me “ she finally managed to speak with a louder sob.

” what? Do you know what you are talking about? If Jason cheats on you then I am not going to believe in true love anymore “ Chloe said.

Isabella nodded ” Chloe it's true “ she narrated everything that happened and also the pictures of Chantal and Jason in a hotel room.

Chloe was already burning with rage ” that's it. “ she said and stomped off immediately.

On her way to her room she dialled Chris' number. Immediately he picked up, she bombard him ” how would Jason do something like that? “ said Chloe.

Chris squinted his eyes because she was being too loud. ” What are you talking about?“

” Go and ask Jason where and with whom he spent the night with, “ Chloe said rudely.

” Look Chloe, do you know where Isabella is? Jason has been looking for her everywhere since he got home, “ Chris asked.

Chloe laughed coldy ” after he had hurt her he's now looking for her ? “ she said.

” Chloe please stop saying these things. I don't understand, I'm coming over right now “ Chris said and hung up.

After waiting for like forever, Chris finally showed up, he came upstairs but Chloe didn't let him  into the room.

Let's talk outside the garden, she said and pulled him there.

Back outside the garden, Chloe placed her hands on her hips. She took her time and explained everything she knew to him ” look Chris, I don't know why Jason did something like this “ Chloe said.

Chris furrowed his brow ” come on, you think Jason could do such a cheap thing,can't you see the love he has for Isabella “ he said.

That was then all the evidence points against him. How could he go to a hotel room to see Chantal without informing Isabella at least ” Chloe said.

She couldn't help but continue “ Isabella was heartbroken after seeing those photos, she had a sleepless night and was worried sick about Jason and ended up finding out that he spent a night with Chantal in a hotel room. How would you feel if you were in her shoes? She came home last night in that heavy storm and now she's running a high fever, ” she added.

Chris sighs loudly  “ Chloe am sure there's an explanation for all that has happened. I don't want us to get into a fight because of their private matters don't forget about how hard it was  for us to come this  far, ” he said gazing at her lovingly.

Chloe thought about it and realised he was right. She hugged him “ I just don't like it when Isabella is sad ” she said.

“ It's a good thing she's fine and she's at home. I think I should give Jason a call and let them settle this dispute themselves, ” Chris said, breaking the hug.

Chloe stopped him “ Isabella doesn't want to see him right now. Just let her be alone for now ”she said.

“ but I think I should at least inform him that she's safe and at home ” he said.

“ If you do, he's going to rush over here. Which will only make Bella angry ” Chloe said sternly.

Chris could only go with her suggestions. “ I will go speak to Jason to find out what happened last night. You should take care of yourself and Bella ” he kissed her cheek and left.

Chloe went back upstairs to Isabella's room, she pushed the door open. Isabella could barely open her eyes; her fever was getting worse. Chloe panicked and quickly called the doctor.

Her mom suddenly barged in “ Chloe what is happening in here?” she asked, looking at the pale Isabella on the bed.

“ oh no ” Chloe panicked her mind was in chaos she didn't even know what to say.

Her mom stared at her waiting for her response. She squeezed a smile “ mom well Isabella is catching a fever I have just called the doctor over ”chloe said.

“ I can clearly see that. When did Isabella arrive? She asked.

”  Mom, let's talk about this later  Bella fever is getting worse. I will go grab a towel “ she said and ran out of the room before her mom could ask further questions.

Soon enough the doctor arrived and she was giving an injection and they were told to leave her to rest for a while.

Maria saw the doctor out while Chloe sat next to Isabella who was finally asleep. She touched her head lightly and noticed her fever had started subsiding. She heaved a sigh of relief.

Back At Alexander's place

” Are we really keeping this a secret from Jason? ”Alexander asked with a flash of disapproval.

Chris rubbed his temples “ what do you want me to do? It's all Chloe's plan ” he said.

“ She just texted she said Isabella's fever has subsided and she's asleep now ” Chris said.

“ oh wow! while Jason is out there searching for her and worried sick about her ” Alexander said with his brows knitted.
