Chapter 44: love is indeed a beautiful thing

After Alexander helped him to confirm his feelings he was suddenly uninterested in every activity. He just wanted to go home and give Isabella a hug and shower her with his kisses.

“ bro come on let's play golf, don't forget that you were the one who pulled me up from my bed this morning. I was sleeping peacefully dreaming about my Emily ” Alexander said as he smiled shamelessly.

Jason snorted “ when did she become yours? Has she finally decided to date you? ” Jason asked.

Alexander smile faded “ not yet but she will sooner or later ” he said as his eyes glimmered with hope.

“ What are you planning? You better not make a fool out of  yourself ” Jason warned him.

Alexander smirked “ do you think I am that foolish bro. I got this  '' he said with confidence.

Jason was only glancing at his watch from time to time he just couldn't wait any longer he wanted to get home quickly to see Isabella

When it was 2pm, they both departed from the clubhouse. Jason drove home straight.

He quickly went upstairs but the room was empty so he went back downstairs. He was about to ask one of the maids about Isabella's whereabouts. When Mrs Harrison suddenly appeared “ are you looking for Bella? She asked.

Jason nodded his head quickly ” where is she? He didn't know that he was sounding impatient.

Mrs Harrison looked at her son with a little bit of confusion “ I hope you two aren't fighting? Anyways Bella said she's missing her home and Chloe so she went over '' Mrs Harrison said.

Jason's mood suddenly fell. He remembered that they had a little argument this morning before he left the house he was sure that she must be angry with him. “ What if she refuses to come home tonight?” he thought inwardly.

Mrs Harrison knitted her brows “ I hope everything is fine? ” she asked again.

Jason nodded “ sure mom ” he said and went into his room.

He sat on his table, as he started thinking about ways to apologise to her for everything he had done to hurt her. He ruffled his hair out of frustration there was no idea coming up all his brain would think about is “ Isabella '' he suddenly found himself yearning for her even more.

“ Is this love? If this is love then I was probably never in love with Emma. I just found her sweet and gentle at that time and that's how I fell for her tricks foolishly. '' he thought to himself.

He smiled happily “ this is great that means Isabella is my first and true love ” Jason said as his smile grew wider.

He suddenly went through his gallery as he couldn't help but stare at her photos. “ she's so pretty ” he didn't know when he made that utterance. He felt like he was going crazy for Isabella.

It was as if Alexander cleared the dirt that was stuck in his eye for too long. He could clearly see and feel that he's in love with her. He didn't know why he suddenly felt like he's on top of the world.  “ Love is indeed a beautiful thing, '' he said inwardly.

At the Andrew's mansion

Isabella was lying on Chloe's bed, the sheets were already moist from her tears. “ Isabella please stop crying like it's the end of the world for you?” Chloe couldn't help but say.

“ Chloe I'm so exhausted. What did I do wrong? To deserve this one sided love. Jason really hurt my feelings this time he showed me my true spot in his life. I will always be below every other thing ” Isabella said as she kept sniffing.

“ He didn't tell me that he was going to withdraw the charges against Emma. He only informed me after he had promised Emma's dad. Am not a bad person. I was also planning to talk to him to withdraw the charges but that was when all this Chantal issue came up and it totally slipped my mind” Isabella choked on her tears again.

Chloe sighed and  came forward and patted Isabella on her back “ calm down Bella your head will start  aching if you don't stop crying ” said Chloe.

Isabella raised her head showing her red eyes. Chloe was stunned she was really crying badly. “ Jason is just too much. I will give him a call now. I want to know why he didn't ask for your consent. '' Chloe also sounded a little angry.

Isabella stopped her “ it's alright just let him do whatever he wants. I give up okay? Am tired of hurting myself ” Isabella said as she gently wiped her tears with her hand.

She went to the bathroom to wash her face before lying back on the bed. Suddenly her cell phone started ringing. Chloe grabbed her phone “ it's a call from Jason '' she said.

Isabella batted her lashes “ I don't want to pick up ” she said.

“ Chole, I'm gonna spend the night here. I don't wanna go to Harrison's Manor to see his annoying face, ” Isabella said.

Chloe didn't think it was a good idea “ Isabella if you sleep here. Aunty Maya will be instantly alert that there's something wrong between you both. No one can trick Aunty, she's very smart, ” she said.

Isabella thought that what Chloe said made sense a lot “ okay then. I won't go home till 10pm” she said with an aggrieved tone.

When it was past 10, Isabella returned to Harrison's Manor. Jason was already in the room and he was busy with his laptop.

She came into the room and she looked at him. She couldn't help but bite on her lower lip nervously.

“Mom said you went to see Chloe today, ” Jason said as his gaze remained fixed on his laptop.

Isabella paused in her steps “ it's none of your business. I don't owe you an explanation ” she said unceremoniously.

She went into the bathroom to freshen up . Today she was putting on a pink silk night dress showing her smooth fair legs. She looked very sexy in it, no doubts about it.

She lay on the bed and covered herself with the quilt but she couldn't fall asleep.

“ Bella! ” Jason suddenly called her name with a soft voice.

She turned around to face him “ what is it? ” she asked him.

“ Can I lay beside you? It's not comfortable to sleep on the sofa." He said nonchalantly.

” Jason it's your room you can do whatever you want don't ask me for permission it is not as if you asked me for permission before going to Emma's home “ she said and turned back facing the other said.

Jason smiled ” hehe this girl doesn't think before she speaks. She said, "I can do anything I like?“ He said inwardly.

He quickly shut the laptop, he stood up and walked over to the bed and he laid quietly beside her. He could smell the scent of her shower gel. It smells like rose petals. He couldn't help but come closer for a sniff. ” It smells so nice, '' he thought to himself. He found himself obsessed with her on his first day of realising his feelings for her.

Soon enough it was dawn, Isabella was about to sit up when she noticed an arm around her waist. She frowned slightly trying to get up but he was holding her even tighter.

Jason suddenly pulled her back to his chest and he tightened his grip around her waist. Isabella was dumbfounded ” what was he doing? “ she thought to herself.

She was about to tap him to wake him up but she noticed that he was sleeping peacefully and her gaze suddenly turned soft. She sighs and lets him hug her like that for a while.

Jason was pretending to be asleep, his eyes were closed as his lips curved into a smile. He really wanted to hug her like this forever.

Isabella was already running out of patience ” how much longer is he going to sleep? “ she said inwardly.

She suddenly removed his hand from her waist gently. This time he didn't  resist, he let her go, like he said he didn't want to scare her away.

Isabella went to the bathroom to freshen up. She was putting on a blue skirt today.

Jason opened his eyes and he was stunned that she was ready, ” how long have I been daydreaming ” he asked himself.

He shook his head, getting rid of all his thoughts. Isabella noticed his gaze “ why are you staring at me? ” she asked.

Jason hastily looked away“ am not staring at you ” he denied quickly

Isabella couldn't be bothered by him so she simply ignored him.

Soon they said their Goodbyes to Mrs Harrison they had school the following morning so they decided to leave a little earlier than planned.

Arriving at the apartment, Isabella went straight to her room upstairs but the next thing he heard was her shrill scream. “ ahhhhhhh”

Jason quickly ran upstairs to her “ Isabella are you alrig……..”

Jason's words were cut short as he beheld this sight, his eyes were about to pop out from its socket from shock.
