Chapter 45: Will you be my girlfriend if I say no?

Isabella used her palm to cover her mouth as  her eyes remained widened from shock. “ What the heck happened here? ” she couldn't help but yell.

“ I am sure it's my mom who did all  this, ” Jason said unceremoniously.

“ How could she do this to us? How did she know that we were fighting? Isabella asked as she picked up a small note on the bed.

Jason spread his hands wide open ” I don't know maybe it was because you came back late“ he decided to pour all the blame on her.

Jason was quite happy with his mother's arrangements. He loved it so much he would always be close to Bella.

Isabella rolled her eyes at him. She knew what he was trying to do.

He quickly concealed his smirk, he maintained a straight face. ” I will give her a call. I also want to know why she did this? “ he said and walked over to the balcony.

Isabella also followed behind him, he put his cell phone on speaker as Mrs Harrison's voice was heard. ” Hello, what do you want, son? “

” Mom, why did you merge our rooms  without our permission? Jason said over the phone.

“ son you two are a couple so chill what's there to take permission for. Am only helping you and Bella to strengthen your bond. ” Mrs Harrison said.

“ But mom Bella and I are doing great, didn't we mention this to you the other night?” Jason said.

Mrs Harrison chuckled “  do you think your mother is a fool? It's so obvious that you two aren't getting along and I know you slept on the sofa and you and Bella had an argument. That's the reason why  she came back late last night because I am sure she didn't want to see your annoying face.I know a lot. I don't have time for you, go and face your problems yourself have played my part.

” mom but……“ Jason was cut short by his mother.

” Look son, I don't have time for chitchat. They have just started my favourite TV show. Bye. ” she said and hung up.

Isabella was left speechless  “_ “

She went back into the room, she still couldn't believe that she would be sharing a room with Jason. She was so happy that they were back home so she could have her room all to herself but Mrs Harrison crushed her dreams. Isabella felt like screaming really loud; she hated her life. She was here all by herself while her mom was having a great life over there. ” Thanks Mom, “ she muttered.

She decided to video call her mother ”hey mom“ Isabella said.

” What's wrong with you baby? “ Mrs Andrew asked if she could tell something was wrong.

Isabella forced a smile ” mom I'm fine. how is granny “ Isabella asked.

” Your granny is asleep. She has been asking about you when she wakes up I will give you a call “ Mrs Andrew said.

” Alright mom, take care of yourself. Don't forget your promise to me “ Isabella reminded her.

Mrs Andrew chuckled ” yes baby. Good bye “she said

Isabella waved over the phone ” bye mom “ she said and hung up.

She sighed and decided to check what that bastard was doing. She went downstairs to find him cooking happily. She froze. It's been a long time since he cooked. ” What's the occasion?“ she wondered to herself.

” Oh Bella , you came at the right time.  He said as he took off the apron.

“ Jason, I think you have forgotten that we are still fighting? I don't want to talk to you? ” Isabella said indifferently.

Jason pursed his thin lips “ why is she being so difficult?” he thought.

He walked over to her and suddenly picked her up and placed her on the table Isabella swallowed hard “ you.. you what are you doing?“ she found herself stuttering.

Jason moved closer until their lips were almost touching each other. Isabella's heart started pounding faster. ” don't …….“  Jason sealed her lips before she could protest and he suddenly deepened the kiss. Not too long Isabella's brain stopped working as she let him work his magic on her.

The kiss lasted for few minutes before Jason reluctantly broke the kiss.

Jason ignored the look on her face and moved closer to her “ am so sorry. I shouldn't have agreed to Emma's dad without seeking your consent first” Jason said sincerely while his gaze remained on her.

Isabella threw her head to the other side. She didn't want to forgive him. “ he thought he could buy me off with a stupid kiss ” she thought inwardly.

Jason smiled and he knew she wasn't  angry again  “ come on Bella am really sorry. I will accept any sort of punishment from you”  said Jason.

Isabella turned to look at him she scrutinised him carefully his apology was really sincere.

“ Jason, do you know how angry you made me? At some point  I wanted to strangle you to death. You are nothing but a scumbag how could say you were tired of me and you…. ” she suddenly kept quiet.

Jason looked at her with a puzzled look “ huh? and I what? ” he asked  looking forward to her reply.

Isabella bit her lip nervously “ gosh how am I supposed to ask him about that Chantal girl” she thought inwardly.

“ come-on spill it out, ” he said as he began to tickle her.

Isabella could only giggle helplessly “ hahahaha! Jason I'm begging you to stop it's too hahaha ticklish ” she kept twisting her body.

“  If you don't sit still, you will fall so you better start speaking, ” Jason said.

Isabella couldn't take it anymore “fine fine I will speak stop tickling me ” she said.

He finally let go of her. “ Alright. You wanna know right? ” she said as she came down from the table slowly.

Jason nodded his head. “ okay…… the thing is that ” she ran away quickly.

Jason reacted faster and grabbed her back “ Isabella! When did you become a cheater we made a fair deal ” Jason said as he carried her up.

Isabella placed her hand around his neck and she couldn't stop laughing.

“ I dare you not to speak. Should I force you to talk? ” he said in a bossy tone.

Isabella closed her eyes tightly and she said in a very soft voice like a whisper “ what about Chantal? '' she asked. She was so ashamed to look at his face right now. She wished the ground would swallow her.

Jason stared at her silently for a while before saying “ will you be my girlfriend if I say no? ” he answered back with a question.

He couldn't wait any longer; he just needed to know her reply. He couldn't wait for her to become his girl. He just wanted to spend the rest of his life with her; he wanted to stand by her side; he wanted to keep her safe with him.

Isabella froze when she thought she heard wrongly. She opened her eyes midway “ what did you say? ” she asked. Her ears must be playing tricks on her, she thought to herself.

Jason thought for a second, if he pressurises her this way she might freak out. “ Nothing, ” Jason said and finally put her down gently. Alexander was right he should just take it gradually with her.

Isabella didn't know what to say. She could only nod her head. She was actually confused. she noticed that Jason has been acting quite weird since this morning.

After lunch Isabella decided to do the dishes herself. She was a little slow as she had never washed dishes before.

When she was finally done with it. She was washing her hands and suddenly she felt an arm around her waist.

Isabella almost panicked before she heard that familiar voice rang out in her ear “relax let me help you ” he said with a seductive voice. She didn't know if he did that on purpose; she felt her heart was about to pop out from her chest.

“ How could someone smell so nice ” was what was running through Jason's mind. He wanted to hug her even tighter.

Isabella could feel his warm breath on her neck making it feel itchy. Her face suddenly turned red even the tips of her ear. “ Jason took her hand as he washed each of her finger carefully. She felt like her hands would soon lose their colour if he didn't stop. they had been here for about 5 minutes. It was as if he could read her thoughts he suddenly let go of her hand.

She turned around to look at him ”thanks“ she said sincerely. She felt like the atmosphere was weird. She turned around to leave but the next thing, she heard his voice.

” There's still time, do you want to do something fun? Jason suddenly asked.
