Chapter 17 : I'm Isabella's fiance

Isabella gave a bitter smile “ you are right Chloe thank you for making me see what is right in front of me ”

Chloe sigh loudly “ Bella don't go hard on yourself okay ? Am doing this cause I don't want anyone to hurt you ” she said.

Isabella pressed her lips together “ I understand. I will maintain my distance from him from now on ” she said with a soft smile.

Chloe knew that Isabella had felt hurt by what she had just said but she was just doing it for her sake.

“ I will go to bed now. Goodnight she said lying on her bed she covered her self with a quilt as she closed her eyes. ” switch off the lights on your way out “ Isabella said.

Chloe did as she had said. When Chloe footsteps dissapeared Isabella couldn't hold back her emotions.

She could feel her tears coming out uncontrollably, she held the quilt tight. Chloe was right ” what am I to him? “ Jason is such a player. I have to stop loving you ” she said.

“ Jason am helplessly falling for you, will you ever reciprocate the feelings I have for you ” Isabella said wiping her tears.

“ I don't know how and when but I found myself attracted to you, you are always on my mind ” she said. this was the first time she had admit it to herself. After he kissed her twice she had realized that she did like him. “

Before you knew it. It was dawn again. It was already 9am but Isabella was still sleeping she didn't catch enough sleep last night she couldn't get Jason off her head. She had to count sheeps in order to fall asleep.

Everywhere was quiet and peaceful untill Isabella's cell phone started ringing. ” argh who is it “ she mumured. Isabella fumbled her way to the bed side table she picked up her phone she glanced at the caller ID with her eyes half close. Immediately she saw who it was her eyes nearly popped out of her head. she quickly got up . It was her best friend Emily Anthony she had just remembered that she was supposed to pick her up from the airport.

“ hey big baby B ” she said.

“ Hey Millie “ Isabella said.

” don't tell me you are just getting up “ Emily said.

Isabella lied ” no no “.

Emily snorted ” You think I will believe you. “ Anyone could tell from Isabella's hoarse voice.

” Where are you now ” Isabella asked as she head to the bathroom. She put Emily on speaker, as she kept her phone on the cabinet in her bathroom.

“ at the airport, I just arrived. ” she said.

Isabella was shocked “ erm Millie just give me 30 minutes. Sorry for keeping you late ” she said.

“ Alright, hurry up I will be waiting “ Emily said.

” Yeah I will hang up now ” Isabella said.

She didn't have much time left . she quickly freshened up and came downstairs. She went into the dinning room where chloe and her mom were having breakfast.

“ Mom am skipping breakfast, I have to go pick up Emily ” she said

Her mom knew Emily as Isabella's best friend back there in California. They always hanged out together.

“ Alright dear, tell her to come visit “ Mrs Andrew said. Isabella quickly nodded.

When she arrived at the airport she noticed alot of people staring at her but she didn't think too much about it. After all she was used to it, she knew she was very pretty.

Instead she walked elegantly into the airport she checked around for awhile.Emily was the first to sight her, she waved her hands at Isabella.

Emily walked up to Isabella wearing a blue short skirt and a white croptop with matching shades looking stylish. Emily had dark brown thick, naturally curly hair with a few caramel- colored highlights that hangs alittle bit below her shoulders. She has a wide round face with a pointed chin. Her eyes are almond-shaped and she has this brown eyeballs with dark lashes and a cherry like lips.

” Hey big baby B “ she rushed over and gave Isabella a big tight hug her white teeth brighten up her whole face .

” have missed you it feels like ages since we last met “ she said pouting her lips.

Isabella rolled her eyes at Emily ” stop exaggerating, it's just almost a month okay and we usually video call each other “ she said nonchalantly.

Emily stuck out her tongue ” right right baby B is always right “ she said while giggling.

” Let's go or do you want us to sleep at the airport “ Isabella said.

” Oh yeah let's go, I was just so happy to see you ” Emily chuckled.

They got into the car and the chaffeur drove them to an apartment close to the school Isabella will be attending.

The building was very huge and it had a nice view and a beautiful scenery they were many apartments in the building. it was owned by the Harrison's. Isabella had already told Mrs Harrison about Emily so she gave them the house for rent. It was very hard to get accomodations there cause everyone in the building are not from ordinary families . A nobody won't be able to rent an apartment in the building and it was rare to see a vacant apartment over there.

Wow this place is so big and beautiful she said her eyes glimmering. Emily wasn't from a poor family, the Anthony's were very popular and wealthy in California she just admired the style of the building.

They took the elevator to the fifth floor, no one was there she tried to open the door but it was still locked. Isabella looked around and said “ aunty said the agent will come give me the keys but I can't find him anywhere around ” she said.

“ I think you should call her ” Emily said.

“ yeah that's what am about to do ” Isabella said.

She called Mrs Harrison and she quickly picked up

“ hey baby, I was about to call you. I know that the agent hasn't arrived yet,his out of town ” she said

“ it's okay aunty, Emily can leave with me for awhile before he comes back ” Isabella said.

Mrs Harrison smiled “ that won't be necessary, Jason is bringing the keys to you, he might get their any moment from now ” she said.

Isabella was dumbfounded.

“ erm alright aunty. I will hang up now “

After she hanged up she glanced at herself first she was wearing a pair of black jeans and a pink sweater she had just realized that she came out in her bedroom slipper. She couldn't help but bring out a mirror from her bag.

Emily was shocked by her behavior she was acting like she had lost something. ” what's wrong did you misplaced something “ she asked.

” No, Emily do I look good today “ she asked.

” errrr “ Emily hesitated looking around she didn't know if she should tell the truth.

At that moment the elevator opened revealing Jason who was wearing a black pants and a black hoodie. It was just a casual outfit but Jason looked dashing in it more than those celebrities. Some young girls who were passing by couldn't help but stare at him.

At that time Isabella noticed someone walking towards them when she saw Jason her heart skip a beat. She quickly looked at the mirror but she was dumbstruck when she saw herself. She didn't brush her hair at all she looked like someone that was electrified. Her face was a little pale she didn't do her morning skin prep, no makeup and her eyes were a little swollen cause she cried and couldn't get enough sleep.

She panicked glaring at Emily ” you fool why didn't you tell me that my hair was all messed up. No wonder everyone at the airport was staring at me today “ Isabella said.

Emily pouted ” don't put the blame on me , I thought maybe this was your new look that's why I didn't speak “

” New look my ass ” , Isabella said she felt like slapping Emily. How was she supposed to see Jason like this it's so embarrassing.

“ what should I do now ” Isabella mumured.

At that moment Emily hit Isabella excitedly “ look that handsome guy is heading towards us, oh my such a good looking chap. I think am in love ” she said her eyes glowing.

Isabella rolled her eyes “ of course her Jason is handsome, that wasn't the problem now she fumbled inside her bag and saw a hair band she quickly tied up her hair with it.

” Here is the keys ” Jason threw the keys to Isabella luckily she caught it.

“ Won't you introduce this handsome guy to me “ Emily said while nudging at Isabella.

Isabella pursed her lips ” Jason this is my best friend from California Emily “ she said.

And Emily this is my ….. before she could continue Jason interupted her.

” Hi “ I'm Isabella's fiance ” Jason said.

” Right ” Isabella said.

Emily was dumbfounded, she didn't know that this handsome guy right in front of her is Isabella's fiance she was even jealous now.

“ Hey “ she waved at him with a sweet smile. She wanted to shake hands with him. But Jason ignored her he was staring at Isabella who was busy with the door.

Isabella opened the door and they came in, ” erm Emily i think you should come home with me for awhile, I will send the maids to clean up the apartment. The semester is just some couple of days from now until then just leave with me “ she said .

Emily nodded ” sure I missed Aunty Evelyn so much “ she said.

Isabella took Emily's hair brush. she strode into the bedroom after she brushed her hair she came out quickly.

Isabella glanced at Jason ” won't you get going or is there anything else “ she asked casually.

Jason noticed that Isabella was avoiding him anytime he came closer she makes up some sort of excuses to go far away from him.

Even Emily noticed it. She was wondering why Isabella was avoiding her handsome fiance .

” uhm yeah am about leaving I will drop by at my own apartment up floor first “

Isabella was stunned she didn't know he had an apartment here.

Emily pouted ” baby B am hungry “ she said.

” Didn't you eat anything on your flight “ she asked

” I did. But it wasn't enough it was so little “ she complained.

Isabella knew this best friend of hers so she asked ” what did you eat? “ she said.

” uhmm let's see I ate grilled fish ,meat loaf, pork chops, corn bread, lime pie, clam chowder, Cobb salad and a vanilla gelato “ she said.

Both Jason and Isabella was speechless

Isabella couldn't help but glance at Emily's tummy that was as flat as the wall. How was this even possible she thought. Why was the world so unfair Emily could eat all the food she want and still maintain a nice figure. If she was like Emily she would have become a couch potato a long time ago.

She just remembered that Emily was a glutton. ” yours is even better I haven't eaten anything“ Isabella said rubbing her flat tummy

Jason quickly volunteered ” I will go get you girls something to eat “ he said and went out he didn't want Isabella to reject his offer .

Emily sigh loudly ” such a gentleman. I wish he was single I could have hit on him right away. He makes me feel so dreamy and those eyes and lips aaaah ” she said salivating

Isabella pushed her forehead “ crazy girl. Stop infatuating ” she said.

“ yeah yeah I know right? his all yours make sure you cherish him. Oh yeah why have you been avoiding him it was so obvious you know ” Emily said.

“ It's nothing ” Isabella quicky said she wasn't going to tell Emily about her relationship with Jason cause she doesn't want to give Caleb any false hope.

“ are you sure? You know alot of couples do fight. His trying to fix things just go with the flow. don't blame anyone when a random girl snatches your husband from you.”

Isabella felt strange no one has ever called Jason her husband it felt extremely weird . She couldn't help but shudder alittle.
