Thus David popped some champagne handing a glass of it to Kate who wasn't as happy as him.

" Thanks" she took the glass from him with one hand and the other around her neck awaiting his next plan.

" So what's next? David tilted his head to the side taking her beautiful face into view. Her eyes held misery yet he found himself lost in staring at her.

" go out with me. Kate, I'm tired of asking you" she dropped the glass of wine probably infuriated deciding to leave but he stopped her.

" How long do I have to wait? I've loved you from the first day I set my eyes on you. I agree I said nothing at first but I had my reasons. Believe me, Kate, I do have feelings for you. Lust aside" she stepped away from him then gulped the whole glass of champagne then faced him.

" I'm afraid you'll have to wait forever because I can never love you. It's not possible"

" Then be my lover. I want you, Kate. I never thought I would want a woman as bad as this. I want you. Gosh"'he exclaimed in frustration running a hand through his hair as she glared at him in disgust.

" Congratulations on your achievement David. So, tell me what's next? What are you planning to do? She asked thinking he was trying to escape the main reason she followed him home.

" Destroy his goldmine. He won't know what hit him. Then I'll target every company of his both home and abroad. Local or internationally but of course with your help" he explained raising his glass.

' cheers! He bellowed as she nods clanking an empty glass with him.

She loved his plans though she didn't want his money. David can have it all. She just wants to wipe that arrogance off his face.

He ought to know how it feels to be poor and stomped on.

" About Simon, I'll look deeper this time" he promised as she hummed.

" It'll mean a lot" she reached for her bag, bid him goodbye, and left though he offered to walk her off but she refused.

Carla's company was bought by the highest bidder so she learned from her PA who was investigating the CEO.

" The company is under a lot of debt since Alvin Reagan blacklisted it of course so the Chinese man had to merge it and it has been functioning well so far' Kate turned the TV on then plopped on the chair in exhaustion.

" There must be a loophole somewhere. I need that company"

' let me check. According to my analysis, it is possible only if you can bid for it. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to sell it off since they bought it cheap. It was almost free as Carla Lorenzo had no choice"

" A bid but it's not in the market" she reasoned as her bell rang.

' Leave that to me. I'll call you once it's done. Bye Boss'

" Sure. Let me know when it's time" she said hanging up then went to open the door.

' good evening Miss Patterson" Eden greeted bringing a pile of documents out of his suitcase then noticed her skimpy nightgown.

' I'm waiting" she snapped her fingers in front of him uncomfortable with the way his eyes were roaming her clothed body.

" Yeah. The divorce papers are ready but I'll want you to review it if it's to your satisfaction' she hummed taking a seat.

' have a seat attorney. I'll like to review it for some days. So need to wait" she stated as Eden stared at her wondering what happened to hospitality.

" Call me if you have any questions or I can review it with you" she looked at him then he rephrased his words.

" I'm free tomorrow. I don't want any mistakes. That's what I meant"

" Hmm. Thanks for being thoughtful but I'll be fine. That will be all attorney. You may leave" she stated while Eden stayed quiet then stood up.

" Good night Miss Patterson' he muttered leaving while she frowned staring at the pile of papers on the table and picked her glasses.

It was going to be a long night.

Alvin was in the cabin when he received a call from Colton.

" Sir, you won't believe what I found out"

" What is it? He asked begrudgingly tired of his incessant nagging like a woman.

The truth is he wasn't bothered by David's threat as much as he was at Kate.

" Most mobs have terminated the deal and are know David's ally"

" Good riddance to them" he sassed

" Seventy percent of them Sir" that wiped the smirk off his face as his grip on the phone tightened certain David wasn't that influential.

" How?

" Someone helped him. I don't know who but we have to act fast" Alvin ended the call then picked another phone to call someone.

" David visited your cartel today right?.he asked the anonymous receiver

" Yes Sir. He came with a woman who claimed to be your wife. We've met her so they assumed it was more profitable to do business with her. She gave it for a cheap price" the look on Alvin's face was terrifying as he smashed the phone on the nearby wall.

Kate accompanied David to the mafia world? Was she crazy?

He was fuming about the issue when his lawyer entered the cabin will a briefcase.

" What? He yelled at the poor man who trembled in fear opting to turn back but changed his mind as he glared at him.

" Your wife has filed for divorce and she needs alimony too" Alvin took the papers and read a few lines.

" Alimony? He repeated then tore it to shreds then dumped it on his face.

" Tell her to go to hell. I'm not giving her a dime. I'll grant her divorce if only she comes to me"

" She's taking it to court as in a lawsuit if you refuse to sign it" he shrugged without a care in the world.

" She can try" then it occurred to him that he has lost a majority of his votes as a powerful man but not yet.

" She wants to play dirty? So do I?

Kate and Eden looked at each other as they've implanted a speaker in the papers.

" Then to court it goes. Let him fight me on equal grounds " she stated grinning. Getting on his bad side had her excited. It was her first accomplishment.

Where was his confidence? Didn't he bring her to a foreign country to torment her? Well, he's about to witness a miracle.

" Yes ma'am" Eden sassed standing up to carry out her order. The earlier they took care of it the better.
