Chapter 75: Chapter 75

The song that was playing in the background had changed to Let Me Down Slowly by Alec Benjamin.

"How did you guys find us?" I asked before moving the cup of my strawberry smoothie towards my mouth.

"He asked." Quinnel replied nudging his chin towards Jake who was looking at the steam of his coffee get off his juice. Then his eyes would follow it until it disappeared before he looked back down at the cup to follow it again.

I blinked at him before Quinnel slapped his arm lightly.

"Hey, steam boy... You okay?" He asked and Jake blinked at us looking round the table before he nodded slowly.

"Yeah, why? And why are you calling me steam boy?"

"Uhh... Cause you were using your eyes to follow the steam?" I asked and he smiled at me before his smile fell and he looked down looking all pouty.

Ashley sighed rubbing his back. I was about to say something when I saw the pink haired girl stand up.

She gathered her load stuffing it in an off white coloured tote bag before she stood properly.

"What are you looking at?" Quinnel asked and I saw his eyes follow mine landing on the girl.

She turned around and her hair blew in her face giving her the model vibe.

"Woah." Zaire whispered and Ashley also turned her head to the girl.

All eyes was now glued on the girl except Jake who was still fascinated by the steam rising. I give up on that guy.

Feeling eyes on her, the girl turned her head around. Her eyes met with everyone's own one by one before she gave a wave.

"Here , Zaire." Ashley said suddenly passing Zaire the napkin that was under her smoothie.

"What should I do with this?" Zaire asked baffled as he eyes the napkin.

"Wipe your drool with it." She replied and Zaire glared before throwing the napkin at her face.

Suddenly, I saw the pink haired girl coming towards our table with her tote bag on her side or maybe she was just going out.

"Hi." She greeted in a sweet voice. Nope, she was coming here.

"Hello." Everyone replied with a smile. Zaire immediately sat up straight adjusting his collar while Quinnel looked like he didn't care, thankfully.

Jake was finally looking up at the girl. He spared a glance and then Ashley and then me. When his eyes met mine, I raised a brow at him mouthing what?

He shrugged and continued looking at his steam. Then the girl reached her for bag pulling out a piece of paper from her bag.

I could see Zaire smirking already as Quinnel eyed the paper with a smirk of his own.

Then without another word, she dropped the paper on the table. When Zaire reached for it, she slapped his hand away suddenly out of reflex.

"Oh my God! sorry. I'm so sorry for that." She apologized covering her mouth with her hand.

"It's fine. Wow, you've got a pretty strong hand there."

"Sorry. Sorry. The paper wasn't meant for you." She whispered and my eyes widened.

"So who owns the paper?" I asked with a smile.

"You." She replied simply.

Then I turned my head to see Zaire and Quinnel faces had turned down. Now, Jake was making fun of them with a giggle.

"Me?" I asked and she nodded her head.

"And him too." She said pointing at the guy beside her.

I looked down at the guy that didn't know anything until all eyes turned to him.

"What?" He asked looking around the table until his eyes landed on the girl.

"Bye." She mumbled and walked away almost immediately.

I shrugged as she walked out of the cafe before I took the paper. I opened in and in red marker, I saw "Tell Everyone to look outside behind you."

I blinked and did as she said.

"Guys, the paper says to look outside." I said and Zaire furrowed his brow.

"It's not her number?"

I shook my head and turned my body on the chair. I looked around before I saw her.

"Oh there she is." I yelled pointing out with a smile. She looked up and gave me a smile.

Then she indicated to flip the paper over. I did and I saw "You guys look cute together."

I smiled and read it out. Then we turned our head to her to see her doing a finger heart with her hand and her phone.

I smiled immediately and she took a picture... I guess. After that she gave us a thumbs up and waved at us.

Then she walked away.

I turned around dumbfounded to see everyone looking at me like "What the fuck?!"

"Okay, what the fuck just happened?" I asked blinking.

"Well, that was weird." Ashley commented drinking her smoothie.

"Hold on, I'm confused about something anyways." Quinnel said and I nodded at him bringing my Milkshake to my lips again.

I'm not drinking this thing as much as its sweet. What a shame.

"About that girl?" Zaire asked and Quinnel nodded his head.

"Dude, I'm confused about her in total!" Zaire exclaimed drawing a few faces.

"Can you guys like, you know... Not draw attention to yourself every fucking time you open your mouth?!" Ashley asked her eyes roaming the faces that were turned to us.

"Aww. We draw attention?" Zaire asked with a pout.

"You know you do. So please, deflate your ego or I'll bruise it for you. Goodness!"

"Don't worry, you'll get popular one day." Zaire replied rubbing her hair.

Ashley glared at him face for some seconds before she bared her teeth at his face before she turned her head directing it to his arm.

"Okay... Okay..." He said taking his hand off almost immediately with a nervous chuckle.

"Someone is being feisty." Jake said suddenly and Ashley rolled her eyes before she carried her smoothie and drank it.

"Calm down. Don't chug it all up at once and then question us later how your smoothie is finished." Zaire said before she took a swig of his cold iced cola.

"Yen yen yen yen yen." Ashley replied sticking her tongue at him before she continued drinking.

Zaire placed his drink down then looked at her for a while before his eyes flew wide and he held onto his head like he had forgotten his head at the hotel and was touching it to make sure it was still connected.

"Oh my God! What's tomorrow's date?" Zaire asked turning his head to me.

"That would be... Hold on." I mumbled reaching for my phone. I pressed the power button and turned back to him.

"It says August 17 so, tomorrow would be..."

"18."

"18." He said slowly turning his head to Ashley again.

He eyed her for a few seconds while she glared in return.

"Ash?" I called and she turned her eyes to me before she started glaring at me too.

"Woah! What the fuck did I do to you?" I asked with a nervous chuckle.

She rolled her eyes before directing it to her now empty cup of smoothie before her eyes widened.

"How the fuck did my smoothie finish?" She asked looking up at me.

I shrugged and she moved her eyes to Jake. He shrugged before she moved her eyes to Quinnel who didn't even spare her a glance before her eyes settled on her brother.

"It was you, wasn't it? You drank my smoothie. I've been watching you. You kept eyeing the drink... Who knew you would drink it while I was talking?"

"Is she okay?" I asked leaning to Quinnel. He looked to her and then me before he shrugged.

"She should be. I guess. She doesn't look sick and all she had was that smoothie and moreso, she does this every month. It's no special stuff." He replied with a shrug.

"Every month?" I asked.

Sounds like menstruation.

"Hey, Ash... Can I see you for a sec?" I asked and she blinked at me before she nodded pushing herself up before she came around to me. I stood up as well and took her hand looking for a secluded spot.

"Careful. She bites." Zaire said with a chuckle. Ashley glared at him and he stuck out his tongue at her.

I shook my head and pulled her with me to the counter where the girl of the smile was standing.

"Hi again." I greeted with a click of my tongue.

"Oh hello. Can I help you with something?" She asked and I nodded.

"The restroom."

"Oh. Sure. Just take a left and you'll see a long passageway... Take that passageway until you reach the end of it and you'll see two doors. One with the picture of a lady and one with the picture of a man. The one with the picture of the lady is the one you can use."

"Wow. That's a good description. I don't think we can get lost." I complimented and she grinned.

"I have been told I have a good descriptive sense." She replied and I nodded.

"Well, bye." I waved and pulled Ashley along. I took a left turn and I could already see the passageway. Hell, I was standing at the mouth of it. This shit is long!

"Oh my God! Did you see? Quinnel's eyes was totally on you! Did you see?! Tell me!" She yelled hitting my arm while we walked down the long passageway she was talking about.

"I didn't, Ash... And you're beating me! God, your hand is painful."

She rolled her eyes before she giggled.

"I tell you. That guy is so into you."

I didn't reply as I kept walking. Where the heck is this door?! I swear, if you're like really pressed, don't you ever make the suggestion of coming over here. Hell, you'll piss yourself halfway to the toilet.

"Why do you think they made the hallway this long?" I asked and Ashley turned her head to the place we've left behind.

Even the music they were playing can't be heard here.

"So the smell doesn't go to the cafe." She replied with a click of her tongue turning her head back to me.

"Oh! Why didn't I think of that? That's so genius! Yeah, that makes sense." I replied and she nodded her head.

I nodded thoughtfully and we walked in silence before she finally reached the two doors.

"Finally! I thought we weren't going to reach again!" Ashley exclaimed and I giggled.

"Come on." I said pulling her into the bathroom.
