Chapter 64: Chapter 64

Ooh! Enjoy... And thank you all for reading Love and Secrets. ❤️

"Woah! Dude." Zaire yelled holding Quinnel's hand back and he only glared at him.

"Leave me the fuck alone." He spat before he jerked his hand off and turned his face back to the guy under him.

Everyone kept yelling for Quinnel to stop but he wasn't having it.

Mountains by Tatiana Manaois started playing in the background and I swear it was like the worst timing ever.

Another blow landed and I gasped looking down at the bloodied boy lying helplessly on the floor with both arm hanging lazily beside his head as he heaved heavily.

Sitting on top of him was Quinnel who kept punching the boy even though his face was already battered beyond repair. His teeth was red with blood, his cheekbone red and bleeding, the corner of his eyes was bleeding as it bled over his freckles down his cheekbone that was already bleeding. His nose looked dislocated and I knew it had broken as it was also bleeding as well.

He looked at his worst and Quinnel didn't look he was stopping soon. I knew I had to do something as Quinnel grabbed the red haired boy shirt pulling him towards himself so he could deal him a blow properly.

"Stop!" I yelled as Quinnel swung his hand up again. He didn't answer as he punched him again making me let out another gasp. It was really a miracle that this bastard hadn't fainted.

Quinnel brought his hand up again and I immediately caught it before it could even go back down. His hand was hard that I wondered how the guy that was collecting all these hits would feel when I collided with his face.

"Stop. Please." I begged and I felt his hand relax before he looked at me.

I could feel tears at the brim of my eyes and I looked at him. His hard expression softened when my eyes met with honey coloured ones as he lowered the boy slowly and then turned to the boy beneath him again.

"Look at me, you bastard." He yelled tugging at the collar of the boy's shirt and the boy wasted no time in looking at him.

"Look at her face." He said pointing at me. The boy's face turned to me for a slight second and even before he could look one more second, Quin had pulled his face away with the help of the collar that his hand was still wrapped around.

"I don't want to see around her. Not even one freaking meter! Do you understand me?"

The boy nodded his head almost immediately and Quinnel spat before he let him go and threw his collar down. Still holding my hand, he stood up to face Coach who was looking at him with disappointment.

I felt the tears fall off as I knew the consequences. But I didn't want it to be because of me! I immediately cleaned my face since I didn't want to appear as a weak girl.

"What the hell happened here, Ashford?" He asked and I gulped at his voice.

Quinnel didn't say anything as be looked down at the boy that was still lying down on the floor as if admiring his work.

I sniffled and he turned his head to me.

"Why are you crying?" He asked and I shook my head letting his hand go.

He grabbed it before I could turn away and he turned me to him.

"I said, why are you crying? Did he do anything else to you?" He asked and I shook my head looking at the Coach that was looking at him with amazement.

"It was his fault." Someone said and I turned my head to see a girl of about 5 years pointing at the boy on the floor while her mother tried to hold her down.

"The guy on the floor?" Coach asked gently.

She nodded her head and she looked up at me with a smile.

"I was showing my Mum that beautiful sister cause I like her dressing when that guy came from behind her. They said some words and then she turned to go away when he grabbed her indecently." She finished pointing at me.

The mother pursed her lips as she offered me a tight lipped smile. I bowed my head a little in greeting while Quinnel entwined our hands.

"Indecently in what manner?" The coach asked and I looked up in embarrassment.

"He grabbed her buttocks." She said and Coach gasped before he looked down at the red haired guy on the floor before he looked at me.

"Is that true, Thatcher?" He asked me and I nodded darting my eyes away.

"So where is Quinnel coming from?" He asked and the girl crossed her arm.

"Like I said earlier, I was looking at her so I saw that fine uncle follow her so he saw everything and helped her out." She finished shrugging her shoulders as if telling the Coach that was he really that dumb?

"Did anyone else see this?" Coach asked and everyone looked at each other.

I then sighed. Of course they didn't... Everyone was busy taking pictures to even notice some mishandling of someone.

"I did." Someone meekly said and everyone turned their eyes to her. I was shocked that I let out a gasp when I saw who it was.

Connie.

"I was taking a picture there..." She started as she turned pointing at the field and then she turned back to us.

"... When I saw that dude talking to Navaeh. I thought they knew each other so I didn't interfere. Until she smiled and went her own way. Then that boy grabbed her from behind and I couldn't help but feel disgusted at his action. I was about to step forward when she swung around and slapped him. It was a really hot slap though." She said and everyone chuckled.

"And then Quinnel came along and helped her out. It was entirely that red haired devil fault!" Someone else finished and then murmurs of agreement came up.

I raised a brow at them. What, they wouldn't speak up if someone didn't?

"But still, it was wrong of you to beat him this much, Ashford. He can barely open his eyes!" Coach exclaimed with a tch and a shake of his head at the boy's wasted figure.

Soon, we heard police siren and my eyes widened and I turned around.

What the fuck?

"Did someone call the police?" Coach muttered and I looked at Quinnel in fear to see he didn't even a definite expression on his face! It was like he was unaffected by all this.

"Quin... Police." I said shaking him and he looked at me with a smile.

"It will be fine. I'm here."

Like you're a freaking policeman!

The car stopped not far from us and the police came over to us. They looked at the boy on the floor and they Quinnel and me. Then Coach and everyone.

I gulped as his eyes returned to Quinnel. My second hand went up and I found myself clutching into Quinnel's strong bicep.

"What happened here?" One of them asked stepping forward. His eyes went to Coach as of waiting on an explanation.

The Coach explained what happened and he nodded his head looking at Quinnel a few times.

"Alright. You three..." He started pointing to me, Quinnel and then the barely moving boy on the floor "...would have to come with me to the station. And also the witnesses." He said and I gasped.

Anything but the freaking station!

"Sir, can I come along as well. I know the boy on the floor. And I would like to say some few things that I hope help with the investigation." Jake said stepping forward and I immediately knew what he wanted to do.

"Sure, as long as it would help with the investigation." He replied and I breathed a huge sigh of relief.

"Let's go then." He said gesturing to the car. I looked at Quinnel and he gave me a weak smile before we walked to the car.

Jake followed after us and I cursed the day and the stupid Red haired bastard on the floor.

He was soon dumped in the car after us and the car started.

"Where is your station?" Coach asked and he replied.

"Manhattan Police Station."

"Okay, thank you. I'll see you three in a few minutes." He said pointing at the three of us, Myself, Jake and Quinnel.

I nodded since Quinnel was either too angry or he didn't just want to reply as he kept his mouth shut and Jake seemed to not be able to breathe since he was in the same space with his bully.

I was seated in their middle as I sighed.

"Sir, can you please help me to wound down the window on my friend's side? He can't seem to breathe." I asked and he looked at me through the center mirror before he slowly let down the window.

I turned to Jake to see the colors returning back to his face.

"Hey, stick your head if you have to." I muttered and he nodded his head.

I was about to say something else when Quinnel pulled me to him and rested his head on my shoulder. I looked to him to see his eyes was closed with the shadow of his long eyelashes cast over his cheeks.

This is not some kind of freaking tour! We're going to the Police Station! I sighed again when I saw he wasn't even moving to move his head off my laps.

I looked up to see the policeman that was driving looking at us through the rear mirror. Once our eyes met, I gave him a small shy smile and he chuckled before taking another turn.

Well...
