Chapter 55: Chapter 55
"Coach! I need to use the bathroom!"
"Pee in a bottle or something."
"In the bus?!"
"She's a girl."
"Just stop the damned bus!"
"We need to move our limbs!"
"Guys, I can't feel my legs!"
"We've been going for hours! We're tired!"
"Stop the bus!"
"Stop the bus!"
"Stop the bus!"
"Alright alright then. We're taking Five!"
After traveling for five hours in the bus, the students were tired, hungry and tired!
The coach who was the one following them, didn't see anything to be tired about. He saw it in the perspective that the only person that had the right to complain was the driver.
"Oh finally!" Everyone yelled in frustration.
The coach rolled his eyes at the students who he thought as lazy people. Once the bus stopped and the door was opened, everyone immediately walked out to stretch their body.
"Hey, Quin... The bus stopped." Navaeh said shaking the guy that had fallen asleep on her shoulder.
"Hm? Five more minutes."
"By then, the bus would be gone."
"Dude, get the fuck up. At least pity the girl that has been sitting in the same position for three hours." Zaire said glaring at his friend's sun kissed face.
"You're so loud." Quinnel replied instead and moved his head off her shoulder before he opened it.
Navaeh felt a burden off her shoulder and she let out a small inaudible sigh.
"Is your shoulder aching?" Jake asked when he saw the relief that etched itself on her face.
"Huh? No, of course not. His head wasn't all that heavy." She replied with a shrug.
"Sorry." Quinnel mumbled and she looked at him to see guilt on his face.
"It's fine-"
"What's up with this broody mood?! Excuse, the bus is moving again in 3 fucking minutes! Let's go! Move your asses off that chair and give it a rest!" Ashley bellowed and everybody got up before they walked out of the bus with Zaire going first, Jake following closely behind him, Ashley behind them and then Quinnel and Navaeh being the last.
"Hey, Heaven." Quinnel called and she paused to look around.
"Yeah?"
"I'm really sorry for the ache." Quinnel said and she rolled her eyes.
"It's fine. It's payback for the coffee and helping me with my clothes." She replied shrugging.
"So you do have an ache in your shoulder." Quinnel confirmed and Navaeh bit her lips. He had indirectly confirmed that fact.
They were now standing outside the bus with everyone scattered about. Navaeh pursed her lips and looked away.
"I'll make it up to you. I promise."
"Geez, stop. Just stop. Stop making things so awkward. We're friends, it's what friends do. Helping each other out. Now, let's go and do something meaningful with this 5 minutes than arguing over something that light." She said and pulled his hand away to meet Ashley, Zaire and Jake.
"Hey guys." She greeted and all eyes turned to her.
"Hey, Sister!" Jake hollered and she chuckled.
"Hey, Brother."
"What's up with Quinnel?" Zaire asked she turned to guy she was holding.
His mouth was turned upside down as he had a frown on his face. Navaeh sighed when she saw the look on his face and she shook her head at Zaire.
"Nothing. We'll be right back."
"Hey, Quin let's... Uhh, go for a walk." She said and pulled him towards where there was no one standing before she stopped.
She turned around and glared at Quinnel.
"What?" He asked sulkily shuffling on his feet.
"Stop sulking!"
He pursed his lips and frowned.
"Stop that." He still didn't fix his face.
"Stop it or I'm leaving. I'm not joking." She said crossing her arm.
Quinnel blinked at her before he pulled his lips to a tight frown.
"Yo, ugly boy... You look even more ugly." She said rolling her eyes before she walked back to Ashley.
"You're back so soon. Where's Quinnel?" Zaire asked peering behind her for his friend.
"I don't know." She replied and rolled her eyes.
"Alright guys... Back into the bus, come on!"
"Five more minutes, Coach!" The girls yelled and the Coach shook his head.
"No, Let's go now or we'll get there late." He replied and they groaned in response before they walked to the bus sluggishly walking in.
Quinnel met up with them and Navaeh rolled her eyes before she faced Ashley, Jake and Zaire acting like they were the only person on earth.
"Hey, Zaire... Let's switch seats." Navaeh said as Zaire wanted to plant his butt on his normal seat.
"You want to seat with Ashley?"
"That's exactly why I said I wanted to switch seats. Ashley can come over here to this empty seat-"
"The seat isn't empty." Quinnel interjected and she paid him no mind as she continued talking
"–and sit beside me. While you guys sit over there."
"Wait, why?"
"Aren't you going go do it or not?" She asked firmly and Zaire pursed his lips before looking to Quinnel and then he groaned.
I hate being stuck between this kind of fights. He sat on his seat and Ashley stood up walking to Quinnel's former seat. Jake sat on his former seat and Quinnel didn't sit down as he looked solely at Navaeh who looked out the window.
"Hey, Ash... Let's switch seats." Quinnel said looking at the girl who was grinning cause she got to sit beside her friend.
"Nah, I wanna sit beside Neve." She replied peering at him through her silver rimmed glasses.
He then felt like dragging her out of the seat. Was she really ignoring him now? All he did was apologize and she's angry?! That's so irrational. He frowned as she pointed at something to Ashley and they both smiled at it.
He rolled his eyes.
Like that wasn't where she was coming from. He was very sure there was nothing and she was only doing it to spite him. Which was working effectively by the way. Very effective.
