Chapter 28: Chapter 28
We ate the pizza with the Juice from earlier and rested a bit before I took Caspian and bade the three sisters goodbye.
"Thank you once again for the full weak break." She said once I was in the driver's seat.
"It's nothing. See you tomorrow." I greeted and she waved at me.
"See yah! Call me when you get home." She said and I nodded my head immediately and took a swerve out of my parking space.
"Dude! That was fun!" I heard and I looked up into the mirror to see Caspian smiling.
"Yeah. Yeah it was." I agreed with a giddy feeling in my stomach and smile tugged on my lips.
Once we got home, Caspian jumped out of the car upon noticing Mum's car in the garage.
I parked beside it and walked into the house with my key in my pocket which I dropped in the bowl on the table inside the house near the door.
"Hey Mum." I greeted walking into the sitting room to see her knitting.
"Hi!" She replied and tilted her face so I would drop a kiss on her cheek.
I did and she smiled at me while Caspian did the same to her other cheek.
"Did you guys have fun at Navaeh's?" She asked and Caspian blurted out before I could even say a word.
It was like he was waiting for that question and he already had that answer for it.
"Very much fun! We made Pizza! Navaeh makes the best Pizza ever! It was so delicious and we had it with Orange juice! The juice was chilled! Mum, you have to taste..."
I downed all his words as I walked out of the living room and shoved my hand into my pocket.
I pushed my bedroom door open and dropped unto the bed pulling my shoes off.
I took my phone off the night stand and dialed Heaven's contact. It connects on the third ring.
"Thank you." She said with a low voice and with a higher one she greeted me, "Hey, y'all reached home?"
"Uhh, yeah. Just did. Caspian is telling Mum all about the Pizza and how he had so much fun. You know I seriously doubt they actually know I'm gone." I said and she giggled.
"I should have given you a slice for your Mum." She said and I heard a smack.
"Nah, it's fine actually. I'm sure she doesn't care. Caspian is just really happy these days. And I think it's cause of your sisters." I said and she chuckled.
"They talk more as well now. You know before, they only kinda talked to each other and me. Even when our parents tried to act like they care for just one day, they just shut them out. Like they always know the second day, they would be gone." She replied and I sighed.
"Right." I replied and she said nothing more.
"Alright, gotta go. I have to do their homework with them. I'm after all, free as a bird." She said and I chuckled.
"Okay. See you tomorrow." I greeted and she did the same and hung up. I grinned and dropped the phone only to have it chime again.
Thinking it was Heaven I rushed and picked it up to see Zaire's message.
I rolled my eyes and opened it.
Z; Hey, you up for a little practice?
I contemplated for a while before I shrugged.
Q; Sure. Where should we meet up?
Z; Nice! I'm itching to beat your ass. How about the court behind that park?
I chuckled at the message before typing a reply.
Q; You do realize I'm captain for a reason? But I'm not going to let your dreams die even before you start building it. Sure, I'll meet you there by 5.
Z; Ouch! I'll definitely beat you! 5:00!
Q; Sure. See you.
I dropped my phone and walked to the bathroom for a shower. After I showered, I grabbed my tank top and shorts and threw them on. I grabbed my basketball ball from it's place and walked out of the house.
"Mum, I'm going to practice with Zaire!"
"Be back soon." She yelled back and I pulled the door open.
I wasn't taking my car.
