Chapter 27: Chapter 27

"Oh..." I replied.

"Yeah..."

"You know, I might just come over sometime." I said and her head was fast to turn to me.

"What?" She asked and I grinned at her.

"To do what?" She asked again.

"Uhh, it's a bowling place. What do they do except bowl at a bowling place?" I asked taking another board as I dried it up with a napkin.

"Oh... That's right. Bowl." She replied and I nodded my head.

"Have you ever bowled before?" She asked and I stopped.

"You're asking an Eighteen Years Old if he has ever bowled before." I replied in disbelief.

"So? I've seen adults that just learn how to bowl." She replied shrugging her shoulders.

"Well, I'm not like those adults. I've bowled before." I said and she nodded her head.

Once. I added but I didn't say it out.

"Cool."

"I guess." I replied in a low voice.

"Guys get in here." She said and I dropped the napkin since we were done with the bowls.

Soon we heard shuffling of feet and then three kids of similar height were in the room.

"Both of you," She started pointing at Aelin and Aerin, "Grab five cups, gently... I'm not going to tolerate any breaking of glass cups today... And Caspian get the juice from the fridge."

"Yes ma'am." Caspian said and walked to the fridge pulling it open.

"Uhh, I don't see a juice box in here." Caspian said and I rolled my eyes walking towards him.

My eyes roamed the fridge and it finally settled on a juice box pushed further away into the back of the fridge.

"Umm, Heaven?" I called and turned my head to see her face beside me also looking into the fridge.

My heart started beating faster and my palms got sweaty. I took a huge gulp as she licked her lower lips and her hands shot up and into the fridge it went.

She bit her lower lips and I gulped hard again my eyes on the lower lips that was in between her teeth.

I wish my lips was the one in between her teeth. Oh fuck.

"Got it!" She said with a smile and turned her head to me.

I heard her gasp and that pulled me out of my reverie. I cleared my throat feeling my face hot as I sniffed and held on to the cabinet in the middle of the kitchen.

"Can I have the juice?" Aelin said and then I noticed the three of them eyeing us.

I blinked and a blush spread through my face and my ears red in colour as blood rushed to my face.

"Let's, umm...," Heaven started and then cleared her throat before she continued, "L-Let's go to the l-living room." She stuttered and without waiting for anyone, she marched out of the kitchen.

I let out a sigh and the kids ran to the living room with the rinsed cups in their hands.

I placed my hand on my chest and let out another shaky sigh before I made my way out of the kitchen with a somewhat steady step.

She avoided my gaze while I did the same for the whole time before the oven went off indicating the Pizza was done and we both stood at once.

She looked at me and I did the same before we looked away at once.

"Is someone going to check the Pizza? I'm starving." Aerin said and I nodded my head walking to the kitchen to see Heaven following closely behind me.

I turned off the oven and opened it. Heat swarmed out and I moved my face away. I turned around to look for a mitten to pull it out when Heaven laughed.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"Uhh, looking for a mitten?" I replied in a question form cause I was as confused as nothing.

"Yeah I exactly. It's over there." She said and pointed in the opposite direction of where I was looking at.

Now, that's why she was laughing.

"This is not my house you know. I don't know where everything is." I said and turned around walking to the right direction.

"Right. Right. Sorry." She replied and I rolled my eyes.

I found the grey mittens and put it on. Pulling out the pizza, the sweet smell of chicken wafted into my nose with steam hovering all over it.

"This looks so good." I gushed and ame smiled raising her chin. And so I decided to tease her

"Well then, what was I expecting? The best cutter chopped the chicken into the right size. Look at it... All so looking so beautiful." I said and from the corner of my eyes I could see her smile dropped as she looked at me in disbelief before she threw her head back and laughed suddenly.

If there was something I noticed about Heaven today, she was vivacious. Very Very Vivacious. And she looked Exquisite. Like she always did and still do.

"Okay, stop that. You're so funny." She ended with a giggle which brought a smile to my face as I watched the corner of her lips pull back into a full blown smile.

"This is going to be scalding, so let's leave it for some minutes to cool off just a bit." She said and I nodded my head.

We then walked back to the sitting to meet with six expectant eyes.

"We have to let it cool off a bit before we cut it." I said and plopped myself on the armchair I was sitting on earlier.

"I told you, didn't I?" Aerin asked and faced the TV back.

"Well it's not my fault someone is ravenous." Aelin replied with a grumpy tone and I sighed.

"Okay, Come on Quin. Let's go cut it." Heaven said after some minutes. I stood up and followed her even though I had no idea why she asked me to be there but hey, I'm not complaining.

She cut it into 8 pieces and then kept one in a foil paper and put it into the fridge.

She then carried the rest which I collected from her to the sitting room. The kids immediately took a slice each and immediately they took a bite their eyes widened.

"So delicious!"

"Mouth Watering!"

"I love this!"

They yelled simultaneously and I saw Heaven smile before she took a slice for herself or so I thought.

She pointed the slice at me and I blinked before accepting it with a small thank you.

I immediately took another slice and gave it to her which she collected with a smile that kept doing things to me.

Things I so did not hate.
