Chapter 25: Chapter 25
"We have so many flavors available today. We have the Vanilla Flavor, Chocolate Flavor, Strawberry Flavor, Butterscotch Flavor, Cake Batter Flavor, Chocolate Chip Flavor, Coffee Flavor, Rocky Road Flavor,Cookies and Cream Flavor, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Flavor, Black Raspberry Chip flavor, Mint Chocolate Chip Flavor and the Raspberry Ripple." She read from the computer in front of her and then released a sigh when she was done.
She looked back up her very well practiced smile gracing her lips yet again.
"Which one would you like to have?"
"Which one do you want guys?" I asked facing the three kids.
"Rocky Road for me!" Caspian said and I smiled.
"You?" I asked Aelin and she twitched her mouth thinking.
"I don't know. Surprise me." She replied and I giggled with a nod before I turned my head slightly facing her sister.
"Same." She replied and I nodded my head.
"You, Quinnel?" I asked.
"Whatever you get." He replied with a shrug.
"Okay." I replied a blush creeping up as I felt my face hot.
"Okay, One Rocky Road Flavor, One Mint Chocolate Chip flavor, One Butterscotch Flavor, Two Raspberry Ripples, please." I said and I noticed she typed away as I said it.
"Please proceed to that side and your ice cream will be given to you." She said and I nodded my head walking away from her.
Five cone was placed under a machine that filled the cones one after the other with the flavour we had ordered. The Rocky Road was the first to spill out of the machine unto the cone.
I took the cone that had Rocky Road Flavor and a tissue paper that was beside it. I wrapped the tissue around the cone before handing it Caspian who smiled at me before licking away his ice cream.
Taking the cone that had the Mint Chocolate Chip Flavor, I did the same with the tissue and I handed it to Aerin who beamed at me before she began to lick hers as well. I knew she loved pepperish stuffs.
Just like the Chicken I ate this afternoon. She would have definitely loved it.
Mine and Quinnel's own filled up followed by the Butterscotch and I handed the Butterscotch to Aelin handing one of the Raspberry Ripples to Quinnel who received it with a smile.
"Let's go and shop for the toppings then." I said and we walked away from the Ice Cream stand.
"Okay we're getting Pepperoni, Pineapple, Cheese, Green Pepper, chicken, Mushrooms, Onions, and Sausages. That should be enough. Too much topping ain't the best." I said and looked to my right to see Caspian holding a shopping basket in one hand and his ice cream in the other.
"We should go to the Chicken area first..."
An hour later.
"Shopping is hard." Caspian groaned falling into the seat.
All the stuffs we bought had been paid for by me of course except Quinnel said he would pay for the Ice Cream which I allowed. Hey, I don't have that much money.
"Now that exactly is why I don't like shopping." Quinnel replied and I turned around to look at my sisters.
Our eyes met and we burst into laughter. One thing we're good at? Shopping. Our parents made sure of that.
"Let's just go home and start the pizza." I said and Quinnel started the car. The car drove out of the supermarket and onto the road home.
"Oh shit." Quinnel said suddenly his eyes trained on a wine coloured Audi that drove into the supermarket right by us.
I looked more closely and realized it was his mother that was driving.
"Isn't that your Mum?" I asked him and he nodded his head driving into the streets.
"So why are you running? Or is it just looking like that to me?" I asked and he rolled his eyes.
"She would bore you to death with all her questions should she set eyes on you. She has been asking after you since the last day you stopped by to pick up the twins."
"Oh."
The car finally came to an halt and we all filed out of the car remembering to bring the bags out of the boot.
"Shouldn't you guys like change out of your uniform first? We're going to be working with flour. Many many flour." I said to Caspian and Quinnel.
"Hm. I guess so. But don't start without us." He said and I nodded my head.
"Sure."
He waved and I replied his gesture with a wave of my own before he drove unto the street again.
"Vee?" Aerin called as I fumbled with the key.
"Yeah?"
"Aren't you going to work?" She asked and I smiled remembering Quinnel asked for a week off.
"Not for the rest of this week." I replied with a smile.
"For reals?!" She asked her voice laced with glee. I pushed the key in twisting it as my own smile widened as though I was opening the key to my happiness.
"Did you get fired?" Aelin asked as soon as I got the door open.
"No, El, I didn't." I replied and she scrutinized me before she nodded her head making her way up.
I shook my head and followed after them. Placing the bag on the chair, I walked up the stairs with a smile.
After changing out of my uniform into a more comfortable one, I walked back down the stairs and was now hearing familiar voices.
"...first time I'm in your house." A voice, which I recognized to be Caspian's, said.
"Don't bloat too much now." Aelin replied and I could already imagine her eye roll after that sentence.
"When would you ever be nice?" He asked and I entered the sitting room.
By this time normally, I didn't have that much time to look at a Monday Afternoon Sitting room. I was always in a hurry to go to work.
"Uhh, try... never." Aelin replied with a smirk.
I shook my head at her and I saw Quinnel mirror my action.
He was now dressed in a tea green round neck with a grey joggers beneath it. Caspian was dressed in a striped tee shirt and a short.
Aelin and Aerin dressed in a blue flowery gown that I knew. I had, after all, bought it for them.
"Alright, let's get to cooking or baking or whatever." I said and all eyes turned on me.
"Oh hey, Heaven."He greeted his eyes roaming my body.
I was dressed in a blue sweat shirt that was big enough to hide my whole torso and a joggers that almost matched Quinnel's joggers except mine was a darker shade.
"I get the chicken!" Quinnel said and like that he was in the kitchen.
"Why, come on in." I said sarcastically after him and he rolled his eyes looking through the bags for the one had the chicken in it.
