Chapter 56: Chapter 56
The school festival is around the corner.
Ryan and the five men were busy dealing with deadlines, that they don’t have time to stay in the boarding house and talk. Moreover, Ryan’s cousin always visits the house, and that’s why the five guys could not come close to the lady.
Segi might be the strictest walking CCTV in history, ever.
Finally, after the hell weeks, the school festival is around the corner. That does not mean they could relax during that time though.
Clubs and departments were busy preparing activities to make the festival lively, to gain profits, and to attract high school students who will graduate this year. It is time to advertise their school, and therefore, the teachers were serious about the upcoming event.
The theater club’s representative, Kyle, went to the office to meet a teacher. Professor Darwin wasn’t in his desk, so Kyle sat first and waited.
While waiting, Kyle saw Ryan entering the office.
He was happy! It felt like years since the last time he saw Ryan, as Ryan was busy making a thesis with her groupmates. And sometimes, she locked herself in her room. She could not even join the others for breakfast.
Love life is love life. But there’s this called “REALITY”, the sum or aggregate of all that is real or existent within a system. And yes, the reality of being a university student is far from the fantasy every romance enthusiast dreamed of when they were young.
‘She looks haggard. I heard she retook an exam last week,’ Kyle thought while looking Ryan from afar.
Somehow, he blamed himself and the other four men in the boarding house.
‘It was our fault. We confessed to her at the same time, and now, she’s having a hard time,’ the kind Kyle was worried.
Meanwhile…
‘The Korean Drama Series I watched last night was a hit! Why didn’t I watch it before?’ these are the thoughts going inside Ryan’s head at the moment.
The reason why she had to retake the exam and why she was sleeping later than usual, was because she was getting addicted to watching romance films.
Let’s blame her best friend in this case.
[“Ryan. If you want to know what real love is, you need to watch romance films. It will help you decide which guy to choose.”] Emily’s love lesson, 101.
At the end of the red line, yes, it was Emily’s suggestion’s fault. Feat, Ryan’s curiosity about Romance.
“Ryan Mcguffin, hello. Please sit down,” the teacher asked Ryan.
The half-sleep lady had no idea that Kyle was watching her from a good distance as she perched on the chair. She almost stumbled down.
“Oh sh*t…!” Ryan cursed, finding her balance. With a pale face, she looked at the teacher, who heard her curse. And then she smiled awkwardly, “Sheet. Bed sheet. I feel so sleepy that I suddenly thought of my fluffy bed sheet.”
Kyle laughed silently while watching in secret.
“I see. That was admirable, Miss Mcguffin. Thinking about your bed SHEET even at this moment,” the offended teacher praised, and she forged a cough. “Ahem. Anyway, we would like to apologize for our past mistake regarding your name. We didn’t mean to send you in a house together with five men.”
‘The issue is about the boarding house,’ Kyle learned.
Will Ryan accept the offer?
If Kyle had the right to decide, he would keep Ryan in their boarding house. However, if Ryan chooses to leave, then he and the other four guys have to let her go.
‘I should try my best to win her as soon as possible,’ Kyle decided.

Ryan’s POV
Heaven gave all the answers in one go.
Mom and Dad don’t need to send my cousin if I transfer to the all-female boarding house. I’ll clear my issue, and I don’t need to feel awkward living with five men who like me.
This should be the time to celebrate.
‘But… I am not happy at all.’
“They became my close friends. Maybe that’s why I felt sad.”
Vincent is moody, but he’s kind to me. Kyle worried a lot, and I really appreciated that. I’ll miss eating the breakfast Kyle prepares.
Chaylen is annoying, he really is. Yet, he told me that I am his only friend. My day wouldn’t be completed without having a little quarrel with Terban. And in the end…
“It’s not fun without Sylvester.”
My feet ceased when I saw two silhouettes at North. There were two guys sneering at me, and damn, I recognized who they were.
‘Then men Kyle fought with before!’
Unfortunately, there is no other alternative pathway toward the boarding house. I must cross against two ugly b*stards.
“Hey, wazzup.”
“Long time no see, b*tch,”
I stepped back.
The guidance counselor fixed our issues, but I knew they still felt the need to avenge. After all, Kyle defeated them alone, and they even went to the hospital.
Who handled their hospital bills?
Kyle did.
‘I should have known that Kyle is a big shot.’
Who cares about that now? I should think about how to escape from these ogres.
“Where is your knight in shining armor? I haven’t taken my revenge yet,” one said, flicking his fingers.
They walked closer, I stepped back. ‘Sh*t. I need to ask for help. But if I suddenly shout and make a scene, I’ll be in trouble.’
There is no witness. If these two deny the accusation, there’s no use in voicing out.
“Why are you running away? Come on. We just want to play a little.”
“Play a little?” I asked, moving backward. “Your expressions don’t look like you only want to… ahh!”
I gasped. My back hit something hard.
‘Someone’s behind me.’
Was I cornered? No way!
I looked back, raising my fists and readying to blow a punch. But…
“You want to play?” Vincent asked.
Vincent is here!
And he’s not alone.
“Cornering a woman in the middle of the night. Not pretty,” Chaylen said, chuckling sardonically.
“Ryan, were they messing with you?” Slyvester asked.
These three men came to me at the time I really needed them the most.
‘Oh thank God for making me the female lead in this Harem!’
From level 1 to 200, I proudly gawked back at the two villains. Then instantly moved one step backward, as coward coyotes in front of the lions.
‘It’s four vs. two, fools. Now show me your fangs!’
“Chill, dudes. We’re just greeting him a happy evening.”
“You can go now, boss.”
They stepped aside, and we walked past them.
‘Huh! They should be thankful. I have sharp nails.’
Of course, I only feel so confident because I am not alone. With billionaires, I don’t need to worry hiring a lawyer.
‘I am becoming more shameless as time passes by. Geez.’
As we walked away, Vincent glared at the two. Sylvester waved his hand, and the Chaylen gave them his middle finger.
When we’re far enough, I sighed in relief.
“Do you know them?” Vincent asked.
“Aren’t they the bast*rds Kyle fought with?” Sylvester gave a spoiler.
“Sh*t. Really? We should have fought them head-on,” Chaylen suggested, showing his fists.
“When Festival is around the corner?” When I asked this, they all looked at me.
The three nodded their heads in unison.
“I appreciated that you guys helped me out there. But fighting is another thing. Don’t create trouble and waste your time with those foolish people,” I said, flipping my hair like a queen.
“She feels happy though,” Chaylen whispered to the two, and they all chuckled as if teasing me.
I glared back, clicking my tongue. But none of them display a look of apology. Yup, no one. The arrogance runs in their genes.
‘Good for you, you damn rich brats.’
“If you don’t want to create trouble, then start coming back home early,” Chaylen suggested. “I am just one call away, dear. I’ll pick you up anytime.”
Chaylen wrapped his arm around my shoulder as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
Cheers with Vincent, he took Chaylen’s arm away from me as soon as possible.
“You look more dangerous,” Vincent told Chaylen.
“Jealous, aren’t ya’? A grumpy guy like you can’t put your arm around Ryan’s shoulder. What a weak v*rgin boy.”
I didn’t know what Vincent did to Chaylen because I was standing a step ahead, but Chaylen suddenly shouted in pain.
“Ahhh! Godd*mn it!”
Vincent then ran away while carrying plastic bags.
“F*ck! That really hurts! Come back here!” Chaylen protested before he chased after Vincent.
Watching them, I noticed that even Chaylen was holding a plastic.
“Why are you guys together?” I asked Sylvester, who was laughing beside me.
“We wanted to drink beers. The three of us went out to buy beers and snacks,” Sylvester answered.
When our eyes met, we both stopped walking.
The smile on our lips faded as we remembered the last night, we had a talk.
‘We talked about his ex-girlfriend, and the conversation didn’t end great.’
“Slyvester, are you still mad at me?”
