Chapter 57: Chapter 57

Gwenn pov

My eyes went soft as Arius words. “Arius.”

His name escaped my lips in silent words and I stood up from my seat so I can go to his and hug him and this I did while I sat on his laps.

“I cannot believe it.” He breathed out as his hands ran through his face.

“I am so sorry that something like that happened to her. This should not be, who is evil enough to do something this bad.” I griped.

“Bad?” Arius asked me, leaning back into his seat as he looked at me.

“Yes.” I nodded. “Bad is not enough to describe the action of this person…” I continued as Arius nodded.

“I didn’t get enough time to see Faye’s body this morning, what was done to her?”

“She was raped brutally and her skull bashed in…” I started only to freeze when I saw Arius face. He was getting darker with rage and his eyes were turning black with taints of gold.

“What did you just say she was?” He asked and this time, I was smart enough to know that I should not say anything.

I should not have even say anything to begin with. His reaction shows that the person who knew this would happen had actually prevented him from knowing the state Faye was found on purpose and I just babbled it out without any tact.

“Arius… you need to calm down.” I said but Arius anger was taking up the room, I looked around to see that even Orel was no longer, in the room, I am sure that he must have left with the council when he saw that I was with Arius and nobody was seeming to accuse me of what happened to Faye, although, evidence now moved to Faye’s killer being a man and that automatically ruled me out.

“Faye was raped!!!” He thundered.

I fumbled around on what to do but Arius anger was taking a life of its own. I had to do something to shut it down, fast and so I did the first thing that came to my head. I leaned into him and meshed my lips with his.

It took less than ten seconds for Arius anger to turn to something else, Lust as he gathered me in his arms and kissed me back like his existence depends on how deeply he can explore my mouth.

I forgot the reason why I started kissing him as I became just like him in that aspect, kissing him like I wanted to mesh my body with his forever, when his hands skimmed my sides, I didn’t even pull back, my only thoughts were it would be heaven to feel his arms on my bare skin just like those times before only that this time, I would not have to fight it that hard anymore.

In fact, I didn’t have to fight anything anymore.

“Your Majesties.” A voice said behind me as I separated grudgingly from Arius.

Arius grabbed my head to prevent me from turning away from him and resting his forehead on mine, while breathing deeply. “You will start spending the nights in my room.” Arius ordered.

I raised an eyebrow at his tone and he added. “Please, I don’t want to be separated from you at nights anymore.” He added as I bit my lips.

What was the use of me saying no, he wanted this and I clearly wanted it too and what’s even more, he knew I wanted it? There was no reason why I should disagree.

“I will.” I replied softly as he smiled at me.

“Do you want me to continue watching or should I go out because I have half a mind to think that this is for me?” A familiar voice drawled behind me.

With a gasp, I stood up and Sorens who was watching me with his arms folded across his chest and wearing a disinterested look on his face.

Even with the look, there was no way, he could hide the fact that he was hurt by the new turn of events and what he had just witness between me and Arius.

“Sorry for that.” Arius said although his tone showed that there was nothing he was really sorry about and he continued. “It wasn’t for you and I need you to teach Gwenn how to make full use of her strength now that she is Alal, she needs all the training she can get and I am too busy to teach her.”

“So you trust me with your Queen?” Sorens asked with his brow raised. “Even knowing that I wish that I was the one the just did that with and not you?”

I winced at Sorens words which seemed to be said, purposely to Castigate Arius but all Arius did was to shake his head.

“No. I don’t trust you but you are the only option. You are the only one who Gwenn feel comfortable around enough to learn from and she trusts you, that is more important than mine.”

Sorens breathed out. “I will try to change her mind about you.”

Arius leaned forward as his voice went deadly. “You try to do any such thing and I will tell you that I am now Yama and she is Alal and you should learn to show your damn respect.”

“Alal.” Sorens said after removing his gaze from Arius in the silent war of wills they had going on, he relented first. “We shall begin in the courtyard in fifteen minutes.” He bowed my way without looking at me and left.

“That was not very nice.” I muttered to Arius who smiled at me sheepishly. “And why do I need to learn how to fight.”

“Because I want you to be able to protect yourself. Alal’s don’t last as long as Yama’s, they never did and I don’t want that to be the case between us. Something went after Faye, I want you to be able to protect yourself. I want you to outlive me and I want anything that goes after you to regret that decision until the end of it’s life. You have already set down the role by being a commander queen, I need you to broaden your horizon in it.” He said and I couldn’t help but feel warm inside.

“Thank you Arius.” I kissed him then moved away to begin my lessons.

I just hope that Sorens will get over me soon.
