Chapter 87: Chapter 87
Chapter 87
Overnight
Neil was also unaware of the passage of time. He enjoyed reading the book so much that he didn’t notice the passage of time. He only noticed the time when he felt urine. He was already urinating, so he thought of leaving for a while and going to the comfort room. When he looked at the time, it was exactly six o'clock in the evening.
While he was in the comfort room, he did not realize that the guard had closed the library. They were both trapped inside the library and they were both unaware that the library had been closed.
He immediately came out of the comfort room when it occurred to him that the library door might be closed. When he left, he immediately went to the desk to pick up the cellphone that he had placed on the desk. When he looked away from the door, he did not think that the door was closed and locked. The door was always closed, so he never thought the guard might have locked the door.
He walked closer to the door. He looked up at the top of the door because the clock was stuck there.
"6:06 PM."
He remembered Pershey. They are the only two inside the library. He wonders why until now Pershey still doesn’t come out of the deluxe room. It occurred to him that there were no more people outside and that it might be dark all around.
At that moment, he ran to the door when it occurred to him that the guard might have passed by and closed the door.
When he turned the doorknob, he was right. The door was closed and he could not open it no matter how hard he tried. He turned the doorknob but didn't really want to open the door, so he stopped. His hand knocked on the door, so that people outside would notice him in case anyone was outside. He knocked on the door several times but still nothing happened.
He leaned against the door and was stunned. He slipped and sat on the floor as his back leaned against the door.
"I was trapped with Pershey," he said to himself. He just closed his eyes to think of a way to open the door and how they could get out of the library.
Meanwhile, Pershey just woke up from her deep sleep. She did not know that it was night and she slept for several hours. She straightened up and yawned. She slept very soundly earlier.
She looked at the time on her cellphone and she almost jumped in panic when she saw the time.
"Oh my god!"
She immediately left the deluxe room. She noticed that the lights were on but she could see no one. She walked slowly.
Her chest throbbed rapidly as she walked slowly.
She stopped. She heard a voice that was very tender and cold in her ears. She slowed down even more and avoided making a noise. As she got closer and closer, she could hear the voice more clearly. Her nervousness disappeared when she realized who was behind the angelic voice.
She smiled as she stopped walking. She already knew who was singing. She lost sight of the time. She just quietly listened to the song Neil was singing. She just stood and listened to Neil's melodious singing.
Neil noticed her, so he stopped singing.
"You're awake," he said. She nodded and smiled. She soon remembered the time, so she quickly approached the door.
She immediately grabbed the doorknob and turned it. She could not open the door.
"Why can't I open it?" she asked and she was already worried. “Did you lock the door? Why didn't you wake me up? It's already night! You didn't even wake me up! I can't open the door! ”
She was confused and forced to open the door. When she insisted on opening the door, she just knocked on the door so hard that it made a loud noise. Neil immediately stopped her and stopped her.
“Enough! We're trapped, okay? ”
She catches her breath and her heart is beating fast. She could hear the rapid throbbing of her chest.
"No matter what you do, you can't open it."
She couldn't believe it and she still forced to open the door. When she could not open the door, she knocked on the door again.
When Neil couldn't hold back, he grabbed Pershey's hands tightly, so she could stop what she was doing.
"What are you doing? Huh? ”
She shouted back, "I'm making a way to open this damn door!"
“Will you benefit from what you do? Can you open that? Can you? ”
She laughed sarcastically, insisting, “Because you're not doing anything! You're just sitting! ”
He let go of Pershey's hands.
"I also tried to open it but the door was locked."
She took her eyes off Neil and turned her attention to the door. She touched the doorknob again.
She closed her eyes tightly and calmed herself down the most.
"If it doesn't open, I'll kick this door even if I'm wearing heels," she said. She tightened the grip on the doorknob.
"You can't open it, you'll just get tired."
She closed her eyes again to calm herself, she said firmly, "Just shut up."
Neil didn't say another word. He would rather keep quiet than talk. He didn’t want them to just have a misunderstanding. This is just the first time the two of them have been together, that they are just two. He also didn't stop Pershey from doing what she wanted to do.
As expected, Pershey did not open the door. He knew Pershey was very irritated because she can't open the door. In her anger, she slammed the door again which caused the door to slam loudly.
She gasps and catches her breath because of the annoyance she feels. She can't open the door, so like she said before, she just kicked the door.
She backed away a little. She didn't bother wearing her 2 inches square heels. Annoyance and irritation filled her chest, so she kicked the door hard and almost fell down. Fortunately, Neil was able to support her immediately, so she did not fall to the floor. But, unfortunately, the door still hadn’t opened.
Pershey just laughed in annoyance and frustration and then walked away.
She took a deep breath to calm herself.
She stopped walking, said, "Did you mean for us to be trapped here?" she asked.
“No, I never thought the door would close on us. I'm in the comfort room. I'm waiting for you to wake up until we catch up at night inside the library,” he explained calmly.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" Pershey asked calmly. She calmed down because of Neil's explanation. Her blood boiled too much because of the door. "I told you to wake me up, didn't I?"
"Because I don't want to disturb your sleep, so I didn't wake you up."
Pershey stopped talking and stood to one side. She was silent there while holding her cellphone. She was alarmed when she remembered that she and Caleb still had dinner at 7:00.
She read Caleb's text messages.
‘I’ll pick you up.’
‘I’ll let your parents know.’
‘It’s still 7:00, Shey, I’ll pick you up.’
‘Shey, where are you? You don’t answer my calls. ’
‘Shey, I came to you, you haven’t come home yet.’
‘Shey, where are you? We are going. '
She held her head while reading Caleb's text messages to her. She was unaware that Caleb had called.
She tried to call Caleb's cellphone but there was no signal inside the library.
She stood up and was stunned, and walked around looking for a signal. She tries to dial Caleb’s cellphone number but there’s really no signal inside the library.
"Shit!" she moaned weakly. It's 7:10 PM. Caleb and Pershey talked about having dinner together tonight but she didn't remember that. She thinks Caleb is hoping and is waiting for her. She couldn't do anything because there was no signal inside the library.
"What's wrong?" he asked. She was restless and restless. She did not know what to do. She thinks of Caleb because they had talked before. How would she get to the place she and Caleb talked about if she was trapped inside the library with Neil?
She tried again to call Caleb but she really couldn’t because she didn’t have a palpable signal from inside.
"There is no signal here," he said.
"Why didn't you even wake me up?"
Sge stopped walking and sat down. She was still restless. Minutes passed and she became even more restless. She wondered if Caleb was waiting for her.
She could do nothing but stay inside and calm herself.
Silence enveloped the interior of the library. No one tried to speak to the two of them.
Neil stood up and sat down close to Pershey.
He wanted to speak but he did not know how to begin to speak. He was ashamed of her.
"Did you see the shooting star last night?" that's all he thought to ask just so they could talk.
Pershey remembered the shooting star but what stuck in her mind was Caleb's wish. She smiled even though it was a bit bitter. She didn’t know if Caleb’s wish would come true, she didn’t know if she could.
“Yes, that’s nice,” she replied.
“What did you ask for?” He asked.
"Nothing," she replied quickly.
"Why didn't you ask?"
“Because what I have is enough. I don't want to ask anymore,” she explained. What she said seemed deeply rooted.
"I made a wish," he said and then looked at something else.
"What did you ask for?"
He smiled bitterly at those moments and told her his wish.
“I wished to have courage to tell to a special girl my feelings for her.”
