Chapter 86: Chapter 86

Chapter 86

The women shuddered as they heard Caleb's serenade inside the library. Someone was taking a video while Caleb was singing. They have no idea who he is dedicating the song to.

They had an idea as Caleb slowly looked at Pershey. Pershey was watching him, smiling as well.

"It's her luck," whispered one student.

"I hope so too," replied another student.

"When will I be able to experience serenity as well?" another student asked herself.

Pershey feels what the song wants to convey especially with Caleb’s melodious singing. This is the first time a man has seduced her. Her heart seems to be fattening now.

Until the end of the song, Caleb was still staring at her while she in turn stared at him. Noise filled the interior of the library due to the shouting and screaming of the women.

He lowered the guitar and Caleb stood up and went to the front of Pershey's desk.

He held Pershey's chin while smiling. Pershey also smiled as she met Caleb's enticing gaze.

After a few seconds, she thought of speaking, so that Caleb could remove his hand from his chin.

"Why are you here?"

"Just to see you," he replied.

"Did the roses the children gave me come from you?"

He nodded and laughed and replied, "Yes, from me."

"Thanks for the rose."

"Amm are you free tomorrow?"

"I don't know yet."

He picked up his cellphone when it vibrated. Fricks calls but he turns off the call momentarily.

"I would have invited you to have dinner tomorrow," he said.

"All right, let me."

He smiled as he looked at Pershey. He couldn't take his eyes off Pershey even though he could feel his cellphone vibrating.

"Someone is calling you," she said and laughed a little. She also laughed and because of that, he took his eyes off Pershey. He picked up the cellphone and answered the call. He didn’t talk to Fricks first and pressed the mute button.

He looked at Pershey again while smiling, he said goodbye first, said, "I have to go."

She nodded while smiling as well. "Take care."

He turned to pick up the guitar. He had already picked up the guitar. He looks at the students who are staring at him. He smiled at the students.

"He's so handsome," one student said softly.

He slung the guitar over his shoulder and before leaving, he glanced at Pershey again.

He waved as he walked backwards. They smiled at each other, and he left.

She noticed the reaction of the students inside the library but she just ignored them. She knew that the students would only make fun of her.

She just focused her attention on reading books. She was leaning against the wall as she held the book and the book was facing her face.

She felt that drowsiness was visiting her even at noon. She closed her eyes steadily but she fought the drowsiness, so that she could not sleep inside the library again. She was there at the library to take care of the library and students, so she shouldn’t sleep.

She tried to keep her eyes wide open, so that she could not sleep but she could feel that she was very sleepy. She still struggles with drowsiness. She thought of sitting up properly to relieve the drowsiness she was feeling.

She put her elbows on the desk and she opened the book in front of her face.

Even though she had changed her position, she was still drowsy. She closed her eyes tightly and immediately opened her eyes to somehow reduce the drowsiness she felt.

When she could not bear the drowsiness, she stood up. She looked at the students who were inside and busy with what they were doing. Her eyes searched for Leighden to take her place for a moment. She just needed to sleep first, so she needed Leighden.

She almost frowned at the search for Leighden but she couldn't find Leighden. She looked at the doorman. There is an incoming student.

The man will enter the library. She looked at the man and she immediately recognized who it was.

Neil, he’s the guy. Her eyes were not looking for Neil but Leighden. She was frustrated, so she sat down again and tried to focus on the book but she couldn't help but glance at Neil. Neil was sitting at the end and reading a book.

She felt more drowsy, so she stood up again. She could no longer cope with the drowsiness but she could not leave the library without a librarian. She was assigned to look after the library and take care of the students. She took courage. She had no choice but to do it the way she thought. She needed to sleep for a while.

She took a deep breath. She will only be more sleepy if she stays seated. She needs to sleep to regain strength.

She was really sleepy but she didn't know what to do. She was embarrassed to hire a student to guard the library. She thought that the professors and their principal might look for her in case they entered the library and happened to be not there.

"Why am I sleepy?" she asked herself. She shook her head to reduce drowsiness. "I need to sleep," she said to herself. Even if she doesn't want to, she will do what she can think of, so that somehow she can sleep and at the same time have someone to watch over and manage the library even for a moment.

She walked over and pulled her with her feet in the direction where Neil was. As she approached, Neil didn't even look at her. She stopped beside him and gathered the courage to speak. She had no choice but to rub her face.

Neil was busy reading and not even looking at her.

"N-neil," she called, still a little hesitant.

Neil first moved to the other page what he was reading before looking at her for a moment.

Her chest was throbbing so fast that she thought of tilting her head so as not to reduce herbnervousness and embarrassment.

"F-f-favor," she stammered and couldn't look at Neil.

Neil was just calm as he read and his face was clear. He focused his gaze on what he was reading. He rarely looks at Pershey.

"What favor?" he asked. He was still not looking at Pershey because his eyes were on what he was reading.

"B-b-because ..." she stopped and thought about how to say what she wanted to say. She feels nervousness and embarrassment which causes her to stutter in speech.

"Go on."

“I'm sleepy. Can you replace me first? I just need some rest. ”

He lowered the book and looked her in the eyes. Pershey knew Neil was looking at her so even more she didn’t look at him.

"All right, take a break," Neil replied calmly, so she looked at him. Their eyes met. Pershey smiled as Neil agreed in her favor.

“I am going to rest. I was just there in the deluxe room. ”

Neil nodded and looked back at the book again. He opened it and moved the story he was reading to the other page.

Pershey was about to leave when he remembered something so he approached Neil again. This time his nervousness and embarrassment were reduced.

"Can you wake me up when I'm a little late to sleep?"

"All right," Neil replied quickly.

"You take care of the library ahh."

"Okay," he replied. Pershey left and went to the far end of the library where his deluxe room was. He opened the door and closed it. He no longer locked the door. He immediately jumped out of bed and quickly fell asleep.

Meanwhile, as he and Pershey talked Neil guarded the library. There he sat in the librarian's chair. As he read he noticed the utensils on the desk. There were stacks of books on the side of the table but it wasn’t that that grabbed her attention but the roses that lay on the desk.

He was curious about the roses so he took a good look at them. He noticed single sticky notes on the roses.

He could not help but read what was written there. He knew who gave the roses and to whom the roses were given. She sighed deeply and took her eyes off the roses. He looked back at the book.

Hours passed. Some students are leaving and some are entering again. He stared straight at the clock. She waits for Pershey to come out of the deluxe room. He also finished reading the story. He has already finished two books but Pershey is still not coming out of the deluxe room. He thinks Pershey is sound asleep.

Hours passed again. He does not leave his post. He couldn’t leave because Pershey wasn’t there yet. He didn't want Pershey to wake up so he just waited for Pershey to wake up.

When he looked at his watch, he said, "It's 4:30 PM."

He did not waste time. The students are leaving. There are only three students left besides him. The three students also came out. It was time to go home so there were no students in the library except the two of them and Pershey.

He does not know what to do. He wants to go to Pershey but he is restrained by himself. In order not to get bored, he stood up and wandered around each row.

He was looking for something to read. He stopped when a book caught his attention. He picked it up and leaned against the wall.
