Chapter 82: Chapter 82
Chapter 82
Avoiding her
"What's your problem?" Draek asked Leighden. Leighden still turned her back on him and didn't even look at Draek who was just behind her.
"Can you please, stay away from me," she ordered firmly and still didn't look back at Draek. Their companions laugh softly from afar.
“My queen, what did I do that you didn't like? You always avoid me. What is your problem?" he asked a series of questions. He tried to touch Leighden's arm to coax but she immediately removed the hand from her arm. She still didn't want to look at Draek.
Draek paused first to think and cooled Leighden's head first. He was confused and couldn't understand why Leighden was acting like that. He wondered why Leighden was suddenly avoiding him.
Moments later, Leighden spoke up, "You thought maybe I didn't see it."
He frowned at what Leighden had said, so he asked, “What do you mean? What did I think you didn't see? ”
She laughed sarcastically a little and softly, saying, “You're still light-headed. You can't fool me, Draek. Don't make me look like any other woman you've met. I am different, they are different. If they are stupid, I am not. ”
He couldn’t fathom what Leighden was saying, so a lot of things went through his mind. He struggles to figure out what mistake he made that caused Leighden to avoid him.
"I don't understand you, my queen," Draek said calmly.
"Stop calling me that name!" she yelled and then turned to face him. Her eyebrows met as she looked at him. "Stop calling me 'my queen'!" she added. “I am Leighden! I am Leighden and not your queen!” he shouted even louder.
He grabbed both of Leighden's arms and focused his gaze on her eyes.
"Tell me what I did wrong so I know, so I don't guess," he pleaded in a calm voice.
She blinked a little as she met Draek's gaze. "You do not know? You flirt with me while you flirt with others. What, need something extra? There must be an excess because what? Is there a surplus because you are special? Is that so? ”
At that moment, he realized why she was avoiding her. Now he has an idea that jealousy is the source of her avoidance of him, but he doesn’t know how she could have said that and who she’s referring to that Draek is still flirting with.
He wonders what to say to her or respond to. He could not imagine who she was referring to. He wondered who it was, he said, "She ..." but he couldn't continue what he was going to say when Leigh showed the picture on her cellphone. He looked at that. He found himself hugging a woman. At that moment, he remembered Cecil the moment he hugged Cecil for joy.
He scratched his neck and frowned. He wanted to laugh because he already knew that jealousy was the cause of everything.
Leighden's forehead furrowed even more at Draek's smile, she asked, "Why are you smiling, huh?"
He bowed his head and smiled because of the spark he was feeling. He was excited by Leighden's reaction. He's happy because Leighden is jealous of Cecil, but she doesn't know that Draek and Cecil used to be friends.
Leigh feels very annoyed with what Draek is doing. She said angrily, "You two are together since you're something for each other."
Draek laughed a little and then looked at her. He smiled, pulled the hair behind her ear, and said, "She's my old friend." Leighden was speechless and annoyance and jealousy still welled up in her chest. "Don't be jealous," he said.
When he said that, she immediately tapped him on the shoulder, insisting, “I'm not jealous! Why should I be jealous? Do we have any? Isn't there nothing? ”
Draek laughed a little at the reaction and what she insisted.
He laughed and asked, "Why are you jealous?"
She tried not to laugh and lightly slapped Draek's chest.
He laughed and liked her, so he just hugged Leighden. Even though her hands were still slapping his chest, he just tightened his grip on Leighden to calm her down.
“Don't be jealous. We're not Cecil's thing, she used to be our friend, the two of us are better,” he said softly in Leighden's ear, so a smile replaced Leighden's annoyed face.
Their colleagues noticed them, so they screamed. They were laughing, so they both looked at each other while hugging.
They both laughed before losing their grip on each other.
Draek smiled as he looked at Leighden, said, "Come on?"
She nodded and walked away at the same time
As they walked, Draek gently held her hand causing her to hide a smile.
"Are you?" Iries asked when they arrived. They sit on the sand, side by side.
Leighden immediately removed her hand from Draek's hand, saying, “No ah. We don't have any. ”
Iries laughed at what she said.
"Ahh ... so it's okay to hold each other's hands even though he's not your boyfriend," she said. "It's okay? Haha," she added and looked at the others as colleagues to agree with what she said. That’s what happened. The rest of their comrades agreed with her.
"Let's eat," that's all she said before taking a hotdog that was already skewered on a stick and then grilled.
Meanwhile, Pershey eats slowly as if she is being misunderstood. When she could no longer cope with the loneliness she felt, she stood up. Her erection was once again distracting.
She immediately said, "I'll go for a walk in the sea first."
She did not wait for her colleagues to say anything. She left and walked to the sea. She was only a few meters away. She laid the towel on the sand and there she sat. She is facing the sea and she is being tossed about by the waves.
She sighed deeply as she looked up at the starry sky. There is no peeping moon at these moments and only colorful and glowing stars give life to the dark sky.
She took the cellphone first out of the pocket of her shorts. She plugged the earphone into her ear and played the song 'Take her to the moon - covered by Moira dela Torre'
She turned up the volume and didn't seem to be deafened by the loud melody of the song.
Every lyric uttered in the song she feels and understands.
‘... so before I say goodbye, would you do one last thing for me? ... be happy’
She accompanies the song so softly that only she can hear it. She didn't notice that Caleb was behind her and listened to her sing along.
Caleb just sat quietly and listened from behind her. Pershey doesn't notice him.
Meanwhile, Neil and even Samuel inevitably catch a glimpse of them.
While she's listening to music , Caleb suddenly removed the earphone from one of her ears, so she was paralyzed.
She laughed in shock when she saw Caleb who was currently smiling at her. It seemed to be blowing hard and Caleb's hair was blowing in the wind. Every blink of his eyes seemed to slow which caused her to linger in staring at Caleb.
"Take her to the moon?" he asked and she nodded in response. He stood up and sat down next to her. "Can I hear that?"
She nodded, saying, "Sure, here."
In those moments they were simultaneously listening to a song by Moira dela Torre.
From the other side were Leighden and Draek. They set up the tent and prepare other meals.
Iries and Fricks are busy grilling the barbeque.
Samuel and Neil seem to be feeling the same way. No noise could be heard from the two of them.
In the midst of the silence that was building between the two of them, Samuel spoke.
"Why don't you approach her?"
Neil looked at him because of his question and wondered what to say. He seemed to be reading what was on Neil's mind and what he wanted to say more.
"Why should I approach her?" he also asked her.
"You know, let's not fool around anymore," said Samuel. Neil didn't say a word and just let a few seconds pass. "I know you still like Pershey," he said. He still did not say a word and kept his mouth shut. "Why didn't you flirt with her before?" he asked.
He sighed and still didn't utter a word.
"Why didn't you tell her you liked her?" he asked again. "I know you still like her to this day."
He shook his head, saying, "I don't like her," he paused and then said, "... I love her," he said softly.
"You probably know and you notice that I like Pershey too." He nodded in response and fell silent again. "But ... it's hard for Caleb to compete with you," he added and his tone of voice seemed to grow cold. "I'd rather leave her to you, Neil."
He silently looked at Samuel.
He went on to say, “I know you deserve Pershey, but ... you have to prove to her that you love her, that you are sincere with her. Let her know that you love her before it's all over. ”
"I don't want her anymore," he insisted. His voice also seemed to grow cold and what he said came even deeper. “I don't know how to tell her how I feel. I know she won't believe me. ”
They talked quietly from their seats. He glances slightly at Pershey who is with Caleb. “She doesn't like me anymore,” he added.
