Chapter 81

Outing

"Let's celebrate Pershey's victory," Leighden said enthusiastically as she raised the shot glass with just a little wine.

"Cheers for the success," said Iries and she also raised the glass she was holding.

"We now have our beauty queen, cheers," said Caleb and he did the same.

Pershey smiled broadly as she looked at them and she was holding the glass with only wine.

"Congratulations, Shey," Caleb greeted and smiled sweetly at her. They did not notice Samuel's frown as he watched them both.

They looked at each other and smiled at each other.

His forehead furrowed even more as if he didn't like it when Pershey and Caleb looked at each other. So that he would not frown anymore and frown, he thought of speaking as well.

"Cheers for our beauty queen."

He really grabbed everyone's attention. He raised his hand holding a glass and with only wine. He said, "Cheers!"

"Cheers!" they said and at once drank the wine. They close their eyes with bitterness mixed with sharpness as they swallow the wine.

Pershey was still barely able to close her eyes when she complained, "The bitterness!"

Some laughed at what she said and the reaction of her face.

They are currently on the beach. They thought of holding an outing to celebrate Pershey's victory as Miss International University Queen. Leighden thought of arranging the outing on the beach.

It's 7:00 PM. They were surrounded by fire. They are sitting on the sand. That is called bon fire.

Their bodies were wrapped in towels because of the cold breeze. They could hear the waves crashing better. The chirping of flickers accompanies the wind.

They talk happily. Pershey and Caleb are side by side. Next to Caleb was Leighden. Leighden was next to Iries and Iries was next to Fricks, and Samuel was next to Fricks and Pershey.

Pershey rubbed her shoulders against the cool breeze of the wind that penetrated the towel wrapped around her. Caleb and Samuel noticed that. Unexpectedly, they both folded their towel on Pershey but they stopped when they folded it on Pershey. They looked at each other as if surprised that they would do the same thing. Everyone was looking at them, even Pershey. Some of what they do is ridiculous.

It didn't seem to tolerate any of them and Pershey knew that, so she just stood up. Some laughed softly at Pershey's sudden erection.

She hugged herself as she stood and stared out at the dark ocean. The pounding of the waves could be heard and the cold breeze of the wind could be felt which seemed to ease Pershey's feelings.

With Pershey standing up, Caleb and Samuel could do nothing but re -wrap the towel around their bodies.

Later, in the middle of the silence, Leighden's phone rang. Draek calls and she answers the call right away even though she is still hesitant.

"Hello," she said as if she was too lazy to speak or in other words, she was lifeless when she said 'Hello'.

"Hello, my queen," Draek replied on the other line. Leighden just smiled sarcastically as she danced with the phone held opposite her ear. Does it seem like she doesn't want to talk to Draek or does it seem like she's lazy now.

She rolled her eyes then she asked, “What do you need?”

“My queen, why didn't you even notify us? Where are you? We will go."

Her companions looked at her and waited for her to say something.

"You don't belong," she replied rudely to Draek.

"We're coming," Draek said and she frowned.

"What?" she suddenly asked. She didn’t know that while she was talking to Draek, they were already on the trip. Draek and Neil are coming soon. She deliberately didn’t let Draek know they had an outing to celebrate Pershey’s win. Until now, Leighden is still thinking about the woman Draek is hugging in the picture.

"We're coming, my queen, you're deaf," he said with a laugh. She was surprised by what Draek said and looked at her colleagues. Her mind guessed who possibly told Draek of their plan. She stopped looking at Iries and Fricks. Iries smiled broadly and by then, she already knew who had told Draek. She immediately realized that it was Iries. She dropped the call while not taking her eyes off Iries. Iries was also just looking at hee who was currently still smiling at her. That smile irritated her and she tried to hide her annoyance from Iries.

"What did he say?" Pershey asked. She rubbed both her shoulders steadily. The cool breeze seeped through the towel wrapped around her.

"On the way."

"Is he coming?" she asked again.

"They're coming," she replied while looking deeply at Iries. Iries still smiled steadily at her as if she was just doing it to annoy Leighden with her.

To her great annoyance, she rolled her eyes before standing up and promptly leaving.

"Where will you go?" that was Iries's immediate question, so she stopped.

"None of your business, Iries," she replied calmly and walked away from them. Their comrades were confused by Leighden's sudden departure. Even Pershey was shocked at her departure.

She followed the gaze of Leighden who continued to walk.

“What’s wrong with her? What happened?" she asked to them.

“She’s just not in the mood. Maybe she's menstruating now,” Iries replied before looking at Leighden who was still walking. She was only a few meters away. She doesn't even look around.

“She left suddenly. Is she angry?” she asked again.

“Let her go. Maybe she just wanted to be alone so she left suddenly,” she replied again. Their colleagues could not answer because they did not know why Leighden left suddenly.

Pershey just sighed. Soon, a few minutes later, Draek and Neil arrived. Draek was carrying an ice box and Neil was carrying a tupper wear. Their meals are full. In the icebox, there are wines and softdrinks.

They noticed they were coming. They waited for Draek and Neil to arrive at their place. Meanwhile, Pershey seemed suddenly taken aback when she saw Neil. She glanced at them steadily and would be followed by averting her gaze. She just shrugged even though Draek and Neil were close to them.

"Finally, you came but late," Iries complained.

"We even bought wine and foods," Draek replied before lowering the icebox. Neil also took off his tupper wear.

They sat down and wiped themselves with a towel because it was cold. They were already wearing thick jackets but still penetrating the cold.

As soon as Draek's eyes searched for Leighden and noticing that Leighden was gone, he asked, “Where is Leigh? Did she leave? ”

Fricks immediately pointed to Leigh who was still walking. She never seemed to get tired of walking on the sand. Draek's gaze followed Fricks' direction.

"Why is she there?" he asked.

"Coax Leighden," said Iries, so he suddenly looked at Iries. He frowned and remembered Leighden avoiding him. He stood up and walked over to follow and talk to Leighden.

Meanwhile, Pershey was still standing in her seat. In fact, her legs needed to stand up but she didn't want to sit down or even look at them which she couldn't do since Neil arrived.

"Hey, Shey!" Caleb called her, so she looked away for a moment and her gaze immediately went to Neil who was also looking at her. She immediately averted her gaze and focused on Caleb.

She tried to smile at Caleb even though she felt a little deprived. She was not counted among her former teammates but with Neil.

“Don't you need it? You sit here. ”

She shook her head and said, "I'm still watching the sea."

Even though she was looking at Caleb, she was still staring at Neil and she knew Neil was still looking at her.

"Sit down, Pershey," Iries ordered but she shook her head again. "Let's celebrate your victory again," she added.

“Yes, Shey,” Caleb agreed.

"Let's go. That will make you even colder,” said Fricks and Iries immediately looked at him and raised an eyebrow. H

She seemed to be saying something even though she wasn't speaking but just looking at Fricks. He immediately understood what Iries meant. "I'm just making her sit down," he said softly to Iries.

Pershey did nothing but sit down. They will be honest with Neil. She couldn't help but look up at Neil. Does she seem to feel ashamed or in other words she is avoiding.

Fricks even stabbed the shredded tree branches into the fire to have fire again. Neil opened the tupper wear and picked up the hotdogs that had been skewered on the stick. He distributed it to them one by one. Pershey didn't look at him even when the hotdog was handed to her. Some are already grilling the hotdog on the fire. Even though she was reluctant, she joined in grilling the hotdog. When it is cooked, she blows it to cool it down a bit. She barely bites the hotdog because it’s hot.

"Draek is flirting with Leighden, look!" said Caleb and pointed to the whereabouts of Draek and Leighden. From a distance it can be noticed that Draek is indeed flirting with Leighden.

Everyone was staring at them but Pershey was slightly staring at Neil while Neil was staring at Draek and Leighden's whereabouts. She couldn't help but smile. No one notices her.
