Chapter 17: Chapter 17
Chapter 17
"What stupidity is your plan, Leighden," I softly asked her. We sat side by side, sitting. We sat in the middle of the circle surrounded by candles. We are opposite the woman.
I don't know what's entering her mind right now. I don’t even know what we’re doing here.
"Focus," the woman said softly. Leighden and I looked at each other. I prompted her what we would do in case she just smiled and then turned a blind eye. “Close your eyes,” she added.
Am I the one she is referring to? Yes, it looks like that. No one was blinded but me. Weird.
I closed my eyes. I would have liked to ask a case lest she reprimands me.
I love Leighden. She ignored me. I kicked again but she still didn't pay attention to me so I opened my eyes.
I watched Leighden as she still closed her eyes. She won't know that I'm staring at her, her eyes were closed so she can't see me.
"Am I too beautiful?" She said then looked at me. I shook my head and then looked back at the woman.
"Shut up," she said so Leighden and I looked at each other again. I wonder who she is referring to. Am I or Leighden? She did not mention the name to who she was ordered to turn a blind eye.
I looked at Leighden again. She winked at me so I tried to talk to her mentally. She could not understand me. She doesn’t get what I’m saying.
Leighden closed her eyes so I was the only one left wide-eyed. The woman's position is still the same. She was still sitting and closing her eyes. Both of her hands rested on both of her knees. The middle finger and her thumb are touching, right and left.
I stared at her as I closed my eyes. She also didn't know that I was watching her.
“Close your eyes,” she said. I would have turned around when I remembered that I was the only one who still had my eyes open.
"W-what?"
"Close your eyes," she repeated so I closed my eyes. Two minutes may be passed. Still, nothing is happening. What are we going to do here? We're going to do Yoga?
I was shaking so I thought of opening my eyes. Nothing changed in the woman’s position but in front of her was a ball. Not an ordinary ball. Not a ball toy. To my recollection, it was similar to the balls used by fortune tellers. Witches use it, that way.
The surroundings of the ball glow. Not a light that is dazzling but fascinating to the eye. The light moves inside the ball. Its style is just like a galaxy.
Her palms rested on the top of the ball. Her eyes were closed. She was saying something I didn’t understand. Her voice was weak as if in a whisper.
I just watched what she was doing.
“Love,” she said. I frowned at what she said. I called Leighden again. She immediately looked up.
We both stared at each other. I just don’t know if she thinks what’s on my mind.
"Excuse me, w-who are you, Ms?" She stared and looked at me. "Who are you?" I looked at Leighden. "Where the hell are we? What are these?" I looked around. "What exactly is your plan?"
"This place is CePetalyon," she replied. I frowned as I looked at her. "I want you to be happy. I thought it was a good way for you to be happy, I'll see you smiling always," she explained.
I laughed softly before I turned my gaze to the woman. "Who are you?"
"I'm Ca Pettyrahimnoezca (Petty-ra-him-no-wez-ca)"
I nodded. I could answer nothing but nod. The questions confuse my mind. Why are we here? Where are we? What the hell are we going to do here ?!
"She's Ca Petty for short," Leighden said. “She’s a fortune teller,” she added.
"What the hell comes to your mind? Are you playing with me? She's fake," I replied then I looked at the woman, Ca Petty. Well, to describe her, she's not as old as other women out there, but, she looks young 50% over 100%.
"You'll know later, Pers. Just relax, okay? She won't hurt you."
I looked back at the woman. She was as close as before.
"Hey, you're fake, right?" Leighden kissed me. I heard no response from Ca Petty, supposedly.
I just looked at her again. I look forward to the opportunity to ask and speak again.
“Love is desired,” she said while she was still in that position, still blindfolded. “Hearts are eager for love that can’t be achieved,” she added. "In the pursuit of love, even with pain," she stared. She was not looking at us. Beyond her gaze. "The knife will cling," then she looked at me.
To me! W-why me? W-what does she mean?
“Excuse me,” I said.
“You can’t achieve love because it’s not yet time,” she said while looking at me. "Love comes naturally," said added then looked at Leighden. "Like a flower," she turned her gaze back to me." A plant will bloom based on what kind of plant it is," she continued.
"What are you saying," I asked. I could not understand her parables. She has been here word for word, I don't understand.
"The flowering plant will bloom. The flower will spontaneously open at the right time," she blinked before she took her gaze away from me.
Why is she always looking at me? Am I the one she is referring to in her parables?
She placed her palms on top of the ball again. (As long as it's not a ball.)
"What kind of ball is that?" I looked at Leighden. Maybe she knew the answer but she just shrugged her shoulders. She does not know.
"Majica de bola," Ca Petty replied. She was still clinging. I would have asked more questions when she spoke again. "It's no ordinary ball that you see everywhere. Here's the magic and so on that people don't know about." I'm quiet. I did not speak. Whether I want to ask, just don't. I'm just sleepy. "Close the eyes, you."
Weird! She was close but she knew we were still wide open.
Leighden and I turned a blind eye at the same time. A few minutes passed, and nothing was happening. What is the contribution of our closure? Is that required?
I barely started. I noticed that the light inside the ball was even stronger, majica de bola, supposedly.
I was staring there. Amazing. Nice to watch.
I looked at Ca Petty for a moment, she just stared. Looking at me.
"Stand up," she commanded. I kissed Leighden to stare. "Follow me," she said before she stood up. She did not carry the ball, majica de bola.
We stood up. Leighden and I were both amazed at what we saw.
The majica de bola floated as we stood up. I was very attached to Leighden.
I took a deep breath and then started walking. At the same time as we stepped, I think, the ball seemed to step as well.
I felt nervous.
“The majica de bola will move every time one of you moves, you know who I’m referring to,” Ca Petty said.
We continued walking. So is the majica de bola. Every time I stop, it also stops.
Now, I know. Ca Petty was referring to me.
I resumed walking. I laughed quietly as I watched the majica de bola.
Ca Pettyrahim will walk first. She entered a room so we entered there as well.
Many small statues are on display. The black and white dolls were lined up. There are five red dolls on the side. Small, 175 centimeters.
I turned to the left. Rosaries are hanging. There is a statue of a snake and a dragon.
I turned to the right. There are pictures glued to the wall. Some have X marks.
I looked up. There are short black fringes.
"Sit down," she ordered. She is sitting. The majica de bola is on the table. There are cards. There are different types of bottles and each bottle has only water. It is not water. Stained with yellow, red, black, violet, green, orange, and so on.
On top of the table, there is a small bottle, 2 inches high. Next to it is a black doll. The needle pierced its abdomen. On the other side, there are three candles, red, black, and white.
We sat on the floor. The table Ca Petty uses is just low and I think, she is also sitting on the floor.
Leighden and I looked at each other before I thought to ask, "What are we going to do here?"
"Love," Ca Petty said then laid her palms on top of the majica de bola. It shone, gold, white and black. Their colors are not the same as the color I see. It was as if glitters were involved. Seems similar to color palettes, gold glitch, supermoon, and supernova. That's the color I see now.
"Love," I whispered then smiled slightly.
"Love is beyond measure," Ca Petty replied. "Beyond looks," she added as she stacked the cards. "Beyond numbers or age." She looked at me. “Close your eyes,” she said.
I looked at Leighden first. She told me to close my eyes so I did.
“Love comes at the right time,” she said. "You seek for love ... a man ... chasing a man." I was swallowed. I knew what she meant and I was really what she was referring to. "Tell me, what do you want?"
I slowly stared. I looked at Leighden. Maybe just in case, she knows what I should say.
"Ah..hmm-"
"Isn't it love?" Before I could speak she took my hand and placed it on top of the majica de bola. It lost its light. It became like a crystal ball. "What does your heart say, Pershey?"
"S-sorry?"
"Love comes at the right time set. Love, not a word. It comes from the heart and soul. Love is not just about how a person feels."
