Chapter 16: Chapter 16

Chapter 16

Pershey Adejar Point of View

It's already 3:00 AM, Friday. I didn't get much sleep because I was obsessed with Bria and Leighden.

Yesterday, I don’t know why I think, Leighden was mean to me. I did nothing. I also said nothing bad about her. So, why did she suddenly become rude to me?

For Bria, I have a different feeling about her. I’m not comfortable with someone else here in the mansion especially when I don’t know. They didn't even tell me they were going home yesterday and leaving right away. I didn't even see them.

Bria looks like a sensible woman. She's just 17 years old, and I think, she's a good person. Maybe she's not what I thought she was.

*/ringing

I just let the telephone ring first.

My attention was focused on the laptop. I'm searching for Bria on social media. Maybe I can get some information about her.

*/ ringing

"Who the hell are you," I asked while I was still staring at the laptop. Who is that madman to call at this time?

I continued what I was doing and just let the phone ring.

'It's up to you.'

Later, I received a message from Leighden.

“Pershey! You're online but you're not even answering my call! ”

Oh my G! Leighden sent me a message at this time?

I'm about to type a message when she sent me a message again.

“Come out! We are going somewhere! ”

I also immediately stood up and changed. I went out of the room and slowly closed the door. Before I stepped on the stairs, I looked to the right where Bria's room was.

I walked slowly and stopped at the side of her door. She wouldn't notice me even if she peeked underneath.

I peeked. Bria was asleep. The interior of the room is beautiful. Dark but enlivened by violet, green, red, and blue lights. She's a good designer, maybe.

I went back to my room and opened my account. Leighden's messages piled up.

"Where the hell are you now?"

"Hey, Pershey Adejar!"

“Crazy lazy woman”

“Come out, Pershey! I'm here! Look out the window or I will stone your window! ”

I laughed as I stood up and looked out the window. I saw Leighden standing there. I gestured for a moment.

I went back to send a message.

‘Wait, Leigh! Wait a minute, okay? Amm, wait for me for 20 minutes. Bye, I love you more with mwuah. I love you I love you huh! ’

I sent it. She's typing. Later on, I received a message from her.

“What the fuck! Hurry up! ”

‘Wait for me, Babe. I’m coming but not cum in.' I laughed softly then I pressed the send button.

I have already picked up the CCTV as well as a sunflower design that I will use to hide the CCTV. No one will notice that there is a lot of CCTV in the mansion.

I also took the stairs then I left the room.

I am not making any noise while installing the CCTV. I don't want them to know that there are hidden CCTV. I trusted my maids and guards here but when it came to Bria, I was not comfortable so I had to install CCTV.

I need to watch her moves, every movement of her. She may be a fierce lion when everyone turns away.

I’m just not comfortable with someone else here in the mansion. I don't know her and even more, I'm not her sister, I can't be calm until I know her.

When I finished attaching the top of Bria’s bedroom door, I put in the sunflower. It has a small hole where the CCTV is. The CCTV is connected to my iPhone. I also installed it in my room, outside and inside so it took me about an hour to fix it.

I went back to the bedroom and opened the laptop. Leighden's messages we're exposed to me again.

“Annoying! I'm sleepy!" I laughed a little bored with myself because I kept her waiting. She may have been bitten by a mosquito outside.

"I've been ringing the doorbell before."

"Come out!"

"Pershey!"

"I'm going to stone your window!" I immediately went to the opposite window and peeked at her. I looked at her from where I was standing, she was holding a rock.

'Shit, Leigh,' I whispered. I waved to stop her from what she was planning.

I hurried downstairs and opened the door. I run closer to the gate. I haven't been able to change my clothes yet.

"Finally, a turtle lazy woman is here," she said softly. I opened the gate then I went out.

I hugged myself while waiting for her to speak.

"So, let's just start, shall we?"

Before I could answer, I noticed she was carrying a helmet. Her motor was parked on the side. I can see it from where I stand. The surroundings are clear.

"What comes to your mind to come here at this time? 3:00 AM," I wondered. It's only now that she came here at this time.

"Hey, check your watch! It's 3:46 AM!"

"I don't have a watch," I replied. I still hugged myself because of the cold. I was wearing pajamas and a white shirt so the cold penetrated my body.

"We're going somewhere."

"Now? As in now? At this time?" She nodded. Before I could speak, she put the helmet on me.

"Let's go, Pershey."

She pulled me onto her motor. She released me and then handed me the black leather jacket.

"You might be snowing in the cold," she joked. "You might freeze in the cold, I'm to blame," she added. I couldn’t laugh because it was already cold. The cold may enter my stomach when I urinate.

I put on the jacket and then I would have removed the helmet.

"Wear it or let's go straight to jail?"

"Cage?"

"According to the information I gathered, soldiers are guarding every road," she explained then rode the motor. She started to operate it while looking at me. Maybe she was waiting for me to ride.

"Get on," she offered but I shook my head. I don't want to stand on her motorbike. She's going to heaven, I don't want to go. "Will you ride or will you ride?"

"You go first. I'll just use my motor," I reasoned but I plan to go to sleep.

"I'm on board, Pershey. I'm still in the mood right now. Maybe later, my mind will swell."

"Where are we going?"

"Secret," she smiled as I frowned. "Do you want to know?" Of course, I nodded.

She smiled broadly at first then said, "Surprise." She put on the helmet. "Have you taken a ride or do you want the zombies to catch up with us here?"

"Zombie?"

"Yes. Soldiers are zombies. They are scary. It's scary especially because I don't have a license," she replied while laughing. I put on the helmet first and then stood up.

"Oh my beloved guardian angel, please, guide her, lighten her way," I prayed while looking up. She laughed, and I laughed too. "I know you're going to heaven, I hope you don't take me with you," I joked.

"Moron! Journey to hell, not to heaven," she joked before she started the motor.

She was moving fast so I was very close to her shoulder.

"Fuck! I don't want a journey to hell, Leighden!"

"Shut up! I'll be fine! I might go even faster!"

"We might have an accident!"

"Hey! I am a wonder woman, I can save you, my sweetie."

"Drive well! Slow down!"

Instead of slowing down, she stopped.

The air sucked me out of breath.

"Why did you stop?"

"You have as many complaints," she replied then took off her helmet and looked at me before she got off. I stayed in my place.

"Where are we going?"

"Look around you," she commanded. I looked around. Clearly. The color of the place is not sad. Full of life, not sluggish.

"Where are we?" I slowly turned around. "Where the hell are-" I never finished. Leighden did not. I rolled my eyes around. "You! Where the hell are you!"

"I'm here!"

I turned to the right. She was at the door of a house.

"Come here!"

I approached and softly asked her, "What are we doing here?"

"I already know how Neil will like you," she said then winked at me. She rang the doorbell.

I, on the other hand, frowned at what she was planning. I don’t know what’s going into her brain right now.

"Follow me," she commanded. The door opened automatically, she entered and I followed. The surroundings are a bit dark. Every corner is full of statues and candles. There are rosaries and dolls.

I rolled my eyes around then I clung to Leighden's arm.

"Where are we? Why we're here?"

She walked slowly then softly said, "Ca Petty."

"What?"

"Like Pety."

I haven't asked yet. I didn’t hear much of what she said. I just followed her where she was going.

We turned right then she stopped, and I stopped too.

She knocked and the door immediately opened. When we entered, the surroundings were smoky with cold. Not too cold but smoky. Filled with black and white candles. There are some red candles on the side. Also full of palms, black dolls, and balls (not natural balls but balls that I see used by magicians).

We approached. The woman is sitting in the center of the circle surrounded by candles, all lit. She bent down and her two palms touched.

"L-Leigh, c-can we g-get o-out of h-here?"

"Coward," she whispered so I patted her arm.

The woman closes her eyes. Long hair. She has a turban on her forehead. The lips are black and the nails are long black.

"Two girls," she said so Leighden and I looked at each other. “Standing in front of me,” she added. My chest throbbed at what she was saying. "Wish is love that she will eventually achieve," she finally said then opened her eyes and looked straight at me.

To me! W-why just me?

"Sit down," she commanded us.
