Chapter 18: Chapter 18

Chapter 18

It will be six o'clock when they get home.

"Good morning, Señorita," a maid greeted her. She just looked and smiled in response then went straight to the kitchen.

"Good morning, Señorita," Mia said. She smiled again in response and then sat down. Her two palms clasped as she looked around. Her sigh was also steady.

"Good morning, Doña Pershey," Nanny Yuna also greeted before she put the coffee on the table.

She didn't look or smile at all. Her mind was floating.

She only spoke when Nanny Yuna left.

"What does love mean to you, Nanny?"

She stopped. A few more seconds before she looked at Pershey.

Her tongue retreated and advanced as she looked at Pershey.

"L-love?"

She smiled with a nod.

"What does love mean to you, Nanny Yuna?"

"Why?" Bria walks closer to them. "Are you in love, Pershey?" She sat at the end, they were on either end.

"Nanny, go back to your work," she ordered. Nanny nodded in response then she left.

"You're asking her," she smiled while looking at her. "What does love mean to her?"

She sipped her coffee first before she nodded. She didn't take her eyes off Bria even though she was sipping coffee.

"Are you in love?"

She first lowered the cup and then wiped her lips with a tissue.

"Why you're talking to the highest Señorita like that, that way?" She stared hard at Bria, she smiled afterward.

"Are you in love, Seño ... rita?"

"Not that way, Bria," she said then sipped her coffee again. "Don't frown," she lowered the cup and then stood up.

Bria also stood up and walked slowly. "Have you ever loved?"

Pershey stepped closer, and so did Bria.

"You?"

Bria smiled then shook her head, then she stepped forward. Their faces are opposite. They stared at each other.

"Not yet," Bria replied.

"Well, good morning," Pershey said then she walked away.

"Pershey," she called. Pershey didn't look back but she stopped.

"You know nothing about love," she said then walked away again.

"You're in love with someone named?"

She stopped again but she still didn't look back.

"You know nothing about me," she replied then walked away again.

"Your ball is coming. What theme do you want?"

"I want you... to shut your mouth," she replied then took another step but also stopped. "And ... know your place, Bria Faith," she added then she left.

Bria just stared at her as she left. She sat down and then sipped her coffee.

Pershey locked the door of her room after she entered. She took the small bottle on top of her drawer.

She examined the small bottle, 2 inches. She sat on the bed as she watched it.

"A secret potion," she said softly as she watched it. It has only water but not ordinary water. It's a potion. Its water is black and glistening. White and red mix with black. Those colors move inside the little bottle.

She put the bottle on the table. She lay down on the bed. She stared at the ceiling.

“Love is not just about feelings,” she said. She leaned over and hugged the pillow.

She couldn't come in today because Leighden and her got home at six o'clock.

She closed her eyes and then smiled when there was a knock on the door of her room.

She immediately stood up but she had not yet opened the door.

"What do you need?"

"Your breakfast, Doña Pershey," she replied. She immediately opened the door.

Nanny Yuna carries Pershey's breakfast. She smiled at her.

"My breakfast?"

"Yes, Doña Pershey. I know you can't eat because of Bria so I just cooked for you and prepare your milk," she explained.

Pershey smiled and then said, "Come in."

Nanny Yuna came in and placed the food on a small table.

"Eat well, Doña Pershey," she said and she was about to leave.

"Stay ... for a moment," Pershey said. She closed the door then she sat on the bed. "Sit ... here," she ordered. Nanny Yuna sat up in bed.

"Eat it, Doña-"

"Nanny ..." Nanny looked at her while waiting for what she would say next. "Did you hear my question before?"

"Yes, Doña Pershey," she replied.

"Can you answer?"

“You can answer, Doña Pershey in the moment you feel and experience love,” she replied. She was confused by what Nanny Yuna said.

"Have you ever loved, Nanny Yuna?"

Nanny Yuna was identified as narrow-minded as she looked at her. It took a few seconds before she answered.

"I loved," she replied then looked around.

"Who's he?"

Nanny Yuna looked at her. She could not answer immediately.

"Who's he?"

"H-he's gone," she replied then nodded.

"S-sorry." She caressed Nanny Yuna's back. "I'm sorry."

"Eat up, Doña Pershey."

“I’ll eat if you give me some advice,” she said. Nanny Yuna first stared at her and then held her hand.

She smiled then nodded, then she looked up and said, "Love can wait, Doña Pershey," she smiled broadly. Pershey just stared at her.

"Love ... can ... wait," then she nodded. "Will that come to me?"

Nanny Yuna removed the grip on her hand and then touched both her cheeks.

"You're meant to be loved by someone meant to you," she smiled broadly which also made Pershey smile.

Pershey nodded as she smiled. She was still smiling when she looked at Nanny Yuna.

“Eat up,” she said. Pershey nodded. "I'll leave you." She got up to leave. She began to step forward.

"Nanny," she called. She stopped and then looked at her. "I thank you," she smiled afterward. Nanny Yuna smiled in response before she left Pershey's room.

Pershey first examined the food. Her favorite every morning; Fried rice, scrambled eggs, hotdog, pickled beans, and pumpkin. On a plate, there are sliced apples, grapes, pears, and chestnuts.

She sucked milk first before she started eating. She closes her eyes with a sigh. The smile still lingered on her face.

As she was chewing the apple, her cellphone rang. She picked it up and looked at who had sent the message.

"You're absent, why?" That was the message she read from Leighden. She drank first then she typed a message.

"Do I have to tell you why?" She pressed the send button then she resumed eating.

Her cellphone rang again so she looked at it again.

“We have a meeting. Neil is on stage, he says something about the programs. ”

She first swallowed the food in her mouth then she responded. " I'll be there."

She finished the meal first before she went to the bathroom.

She came out after she took a bath and got dressed. She could no longer carry the small bottle.

She immediately left the mansion and got into the car.

On the second floor, Bria looked out the window. She smiled as she watched Pershey leave the mansion.

She drove the car until she could get out of the gate of the mansion.

Bria smiled even wider before she closed the window.

She went out of her room and took her hairpin. She put it in her hair and went down.

She called the maids even Nanny Yuna. She handed the list to them.

“That’s for Señorita’s ball to be held,” she said. She also gave the money to Nanny Yuna. "Go away. Buy all that," she ordered. The maids nodded. Nanny Yuna was left as she watched.

"Does Doña Pershey know this?"

She walked over and replied, "She still doesn't agree. Even if she doesn't agree, Auntie and Uncle will still follow," she turned around and smiled. "Go away," she commanded.

Nanny Yuna remained standing and staring at her.

Her forehead furrowed so she said, "What are you waiting for, Nanny Yuna? Go away and buy what I ordered," she ordered then walked away.

Nanny Yuna left. No maid was left in the mansion.

She went up to the second floor. She stopped in front of her door. She placed her cellphone opposite it.

She noticed the sunflower design on the ceiling as she stared at the screen of her cellphone. She smiled and entered.

It took 20 minutes before she came out. She walked over and stopped opposite the door of Pershey's room.

She removed her hairpin and she touched the doorknob. She used the hairpin to open the door.

She opened it and entered. She closed it and walked around Pershey's room.

She doesn't touch Pershey's belongings. She stopped in front of her drawer. She stared at a small bottle. She took it and examined it.

"Is this a potion?"

She even smiled before she lowered it. She went out and then closed the door. She went downstairs and immediately returned to her room. She came out after five minutes.

She re-entered Pershey's room and closed the door.

She took the small bottle again and opened it. She was also holding a small bottle, 3.5 inches. Its flesh is mixed colors. Mixed with water. It was like the contents of the little bottle of Pershey had left behind.

She opened both bottles. She took out another bottle and opened it. She tapped the contents of Pershey's little bottle. She cleaned it so that nothing was left, then she replaced it with flesh. She translated the contents of the small bottle she was carrying and then cleaned it. She wiped the bottle then she left and closed the door. She returned to the room.
