Chapter 20: Chapter 20

: Michigan

Lucy smiled at Justin, "how about we head out of here?" she asked leaning on his shoulder. Her fingers wrapping around his arm protectively.

"Okay," he agreed as he stood up, shrinking a little when he noticed people taking out their phones and taking pictures of the new celebrity couple.

Justin couldn't help but feel he had just made the biggest mistake in his life.

They spent the rest of the day together doing whatever it was Lucy wanted to do.

Justin arrived home late in the evening after dropping off Lucy at her apartment.

Chris was in the kitchen talking to Bree when Justin passed by them silently heading toward the stairs, "Hey Justin!" Bree called out to him.

Justin paused, slowly retracing his steps, "yes?"

Immediately Chris noticed the sadness in his tone turning around to meet his sad eyes, "Is something wrong, Hun?" Bree asked, her expression matching that of Chris.

"No, I guess I'm just a little tired," he replied, his voice tightening at the end, causing him to clear his voice. After an awkward pause he turned away, resuming his path.

"He seems distraught, go and find out what's bothering him, " Bree cautioned

"I already know," Chris replied with a deep sigh.

"Well?" Bree asked

Chris lifted his eyes, "what?"

"What do you mean what? Tell me why he's looking like he was just run over by a bus."

"Oh I can't tell you that, I'll be breaking the bro's code of conduct,” Chris replied with a chuckle.

"Really? Then I bet this is about Lucy. Did he break up with her yet?"

"How do you know that?" Chris asked, taken by surprise as he leaned back.

"Let’s just say a little birdie told me,” she replied with a sly smirk.

"You eaves dropped!"

"Well maybe I did, what you going to do about it? It’s not my fault you leave the door open,” Bree replied with a careless shrug.

"Unbelievable, you’re a cunning woman Bree,"

"Yes I am, so aren't you going to tell me?"

Chris shrugged, sighing "he was going to break up with Lucy today, don't ask me why."

"Oh I know why, he doesn't love her."

Chris looked up at her, raising an eyebrow curiously.

"What? I'm forty two I know when someone likes someone. I'm in love too you know and Justin does not love Lucy, not at all, “she argued out before shivering, "no sir."

"I wish you had talked to Justin earlier maybe he would have listen at the first go,” Chris finally relied taking his eyes off her

Bree laughed, "Lucy's a nice girl and she is very pretty, she can find someone else you know.”

"Yeah I do."

"So Justin's broken up with Lucy?"

"I believe so, seeing how depressed he's looking."

"Well it's for the best," Bree replied, "Lucy's way to possessive of Justin,"

"You’ve seen it too?" Chris gasped out, kind of relieved he was not the only one.

Bree rolled her eyes, "I'm not blind Chris, and we all have seen it. It's best for them to break up. Justin's young handsome and talented, he needs someone who can challenge him, not someone who kneels at his feet,” she scoffed turning back to the cooking.

"Love that line, I'm going to use it one day,” Chris replied nodding his head.

Bree smiled, "he'll get over her, if there is anything to get over that is."

This made Chris chuckle, "Poor Justin he must be sulking in his room, I would talk to him but I think he needs some time. He finally took the first step,"

"The first step?" Bree cooed.

"Never mind."

"Enough about Justin, how about you?"

"What about me?" Chris asked eating some fries.

"Well Justin's got Lucy, I mean he had Lucy, and you got? What’s that girls name again, Cassie,"

"Didn’t I tell you what she did to me?" He asked with a slight frown.

"Oh sorry I forgot, I meant her friend, who’s that girl again?"

"Britney,"

"Yes her, you really like her,”

"How can you tell?"

"Because when you said her name your face lit up" she replied popping the p as she tasted some of the soup.

"Can I hide anything from you?" Chris groaned.

"No you can't boy, I know a lot and I'm too old,” she replied grinning widely.

Chris laughed, "I really like her, I just don't know how to tell her...,” he trailed off slowly, buying his bottom lip. His eyes getting lost in the empty space before him as he remembered her once more.

"I trust your judgment Chris. It's far better than Justin's obviously. So if you think she's a nice girl, go for her or someone else will, does she like you?"

"I think so. We can chat for hours and I never run out of what to say when I'm with her. She's fun and interesting there's always something new I learn about her."

Bree smiled, "sounds like someone's got it bad."

"Bree!"

"Can't blame me for saying it! Look at you, you look like you just walked into a rainbow and found a pot of gold, “she chuckled out.

"I don't know I just really like this girl. I've had a girlfriend or two before but I've never felt like the way I do when I'm with Britney, it's...different. A different feeling," Chris replied his face heating up in a deep blush.

"Glad to see I'm not the only one in love, remember baby boy, don't let her slip away, " Bree replied as she walked toward him with a bowl of soup, kissing his tempo as she walked by him.

"Yes ma'am!" Chris replied as she disappeared out the door, coming back a minute later with empty hands, sighing "Justin's the only one who isn't in a promising relationship"

"He'll get through it, he's stronger than you think."

"No, I'm afraid he is too fragile,” Bree commented sliding into a seat next to Chris.

Chris looked up at her, with a slight frown

"He is going to be okay,"

"I hope so,” Bree added tilting her head to side with a soft grin.

Robin suddenly walked in, sniffing the air as he walked toward Bree in his usual suit, "mm, smells good. What's this beautiful woman doing in the kitchen?" he commented pecking Bree.

"She’s cooking your favorite dish,” Chris replied throwing in another chip.

"Really? Then I'm a very lucky man," he said as she stood up and he took her seat, pulling her back into his arm, kissing her cheek,. "I'm too young to watch this!" Chris shrieked closing his eyes

Bree laughed and Dad smiled. "That’s enough," she exclaimed laughing her way out of Robin’s arms.

Robin chuckled glancing around, “where’s Justin?" he asked

"Upstairs, “Bree replied with a quick sigh

"What is he doing up there alone?"

"just relaxing I guess," Bree replied,” don’t worry, he'll be down for dinner."

"He better be! No one’s missing my favorite dish, sushi!" Robin muttered with a slight grin.

"Chris, be a darling and help me set the table, " Bree cooed

"Yes ma'am," Chris replied grabbing some plates. In a few minutes He had set the table and Bree brought out the food. "I'll go call Justin,” Bree offered.

"It’s OK, I'll go," Chris said standing up

"No honey, I can do it just sit and wait for us, " she countered.

"Oh. Okay, “Chris replied a little surprised as he and Robin watched Bree climbing the stairs.

She knocked on Justin's door which opened on its own, since it had already been left ajar.

Bree pulled the door open a little more, "Justin?" she called out poking her head through the door. There was no sight of him. Her eyebrows furrowed finally opening the door to its full extent, entering his room, wondering where he was when Justin walked out of the bathroom.

He was topless wearing loose grey pants that hang around his waist, the droplets of water that damper his wet hair dripping down to his six pack that easily outlined on his smooth skin, "yes?" he asked running a towel through his wet locks raising an eyebrow.

Her breath seemed to hitch when she eyed the specimen before her, before she caught herself again, "aren't you coming down for dinner darling?" she asked sobering up.

"Dinner? I'm sorry Bree but tonight I'm going to have to pass, " Justin replied moving go his bed.

"Is there anything wrong?" She asked as she noticed Justin's face fall.

"No, not at all. It's just...I already ate," Justin lied.

He didn't feel like facing his family or Chris.

"Oh OK, if you say so," Bree said turning around.

Justin sighed in relief as he watched her leave, his breath hitching when she suddenly turned around, "but this is the last time you miss my cooking."

He nodded with a slight chuckle, "I promise.”

She closed the door and headed back down stairs. "Where's Justin?" Robin asked resuming his seat on the dining room table.

"He said he already ate,” Bree replied

"Nonsense, he can't miss sushi! I'm going to get him, “Robin replied eager to stand up

"No, No Robin. I think the boy needs to be alone for some time," Bree said, stopping him from standing up.

Robin looked at her then at Chris, reading both their expressions, "What’s going on?"

"He broke up with Lucy,” Bree replied putting the napkin over her lap.

"Is that why he is sulking?" Robin asked relaxing suddenly, “he should be celebrating."

"What's this now?" Chris asked, leaning in in shock.

"We all know Lucy isn't right for Justin, the girls a little over the top. I'm not saying she's bad. She's a good assistant and friend but let's just say she should stick with that."

Chris laughed louder than he had expected once he heard Robin saying these things," I can't believe I'm hearing this from you. I thought I was the only one who saw it."

"I'm not blind, Chris " Robin said taking a bite of his sushi, "these things are out in the open."

"Funny that's what I said," Bree chuckled, biting into her food.

"Well you were definitely supportive, " Robin countered.

"That was before she became too pushy and it became clear it was a one sided thing, " Bree replied.

Robin got another sushi, and raised it up high, "here's a sushi toast."

Chris and Bree lifted up there sushi’s, "to Justin, for a new beginning, hear, hear"

"Hear, hear," they all replied laughing.

******

Meantime,

Justin was in his bedroom. Splattered on his bed. His mind running a thousand and one questions. What would he say to Chris?

He went to break up with Lucy and he only ended up making it official. He grumbled rolling over on his stomach, burying his face in the pillow. It was already done. There was nothing he could do. He rolled over in bed and closed his eyes, just wanting a break, a break from Lucy, a break from his family and a break from music.

He finally drifted away to a place where he was one with his thoughts.

**

The next morning Chris made his way to Justin's room.

He needed to know what happened and encourage him to move forward, assure him that hurting Lucy was not as bad as it seemed. "He must feel really bad,” Chris thought to himself as he opened the door to Justin's room, but Justin was still fast asleep.

"Justin are you awake?" he asked shaking him a little.

Justin didn't budge.

Chris sighed watching Justin's rigid form, maybe it was more serious than he predicted. He probably needed more time. With that thought in mind, he walked away and closed the bedroom door.

Immediately the door clicked, Justin opened his eyes, shutting them again only seconds later.

Chris found Bree preparing breakfast. She was humming a little tune to herself, one Chris recognized as Justin's latest song, he had just released to the public.

"Morning," he called out taking a seat by the counter

"Oh, morning baby," Bree replied putting the toast down. Chris got out a cup and made coffee for himself. "Where's dad?" he asked.

"Oh, he had breakfast in bed then went out for a morning jog."

"Really?” Chris asked pausing a little, allowing the smoke from his coffee to fill the air around him.

"Yes. He says he wants to fit in his Tux for the wedding because it's a little too tight, “she replied with a chuckle.

"Oh, okay, that makes sense."

"Where’s Justin?"

"In bed," Chris replied sipping his coffee.

"Still sulking?"

"I guess so, honestly I didn't think it was this bad. I'm getting a little worried,"

"Worried? Didn't you say he'll be fine?"

"I thought he would, it's his first breakup. Everyone takes it hard."

"Not if they’re the ones who broke things off they don't," Bree replied with a small grin

"I don't know any more okay?" Chris muttered feeling a tiny bit guilty.

"Oh Justin, only god knows what's going on in his head right now. I mean it's just Lucy, there other fish in the sea. He doesn't have to feel bad about it, if I was him, I would have done the same, “she announced.

"No, you wouldn't," Robin said coming out from the direction of the front door, he was a little sweaty from jogging and wore some lose shorts and a vest, holding a magazine in his hand, "you think Justin broke up with Lucy?"

"Yes," Both replied at the same time. They glanced at each other with a knowing grin before turning back to Robin.

"Well the magazines say otherwise," he said throwing the magazine in front of them, "Looks like he made it official to me," he added.

Chris and Bree hovered over the magazine almost immediately, eyes skimming over it. Right on the cover page was an admittedly stunning picture of Lucy and Justin holding hands

"No, he didn't!" Chris gasped grabbing the magazine.

"Justin's Star's Star?" he read out loud "this got to be Tad Boy Trash. He broke up with her that's why he is sulking right now," Chris assured, "right?" he asked unconvinced.

Bree moved and went behind Chris so she could see the magazine, "flip the page," Robin said making a cup of coffee.

Chris flipped it over. There was a picture of Justin and Lucy kissing and another of Justin touching Lucy's cheek tenderly.

"Yes, she is my girlfriend," were the direct words of worldwide phenomenon, Justin Star as I quote," Chris read, "it's clear to see that Justin's heart has been taken over by the lady whose full names are Lucy O'brian. And they do make the perfect couple," he finished reading.

"This could be a lie right?” Chris asked looking at his father.

"Not unless they wanted to be sued, quoting false information, and that's Holly Air magazine, they're flawless, " he explained

Chris could not believe it, before he could say anything his phone begun to vibrate on the counter, he picked it up, still in shock.

One new message from Humphrey. "Have you seen this video?" he texted with a video link. Chris immediately pressed it, his mouth dropping, "oh Dad, I think you'll want to see this."

Robin came behind him as he and Bree leaned in to watch the video.

"I'm Sydney Lanster, a journalist from Holly Air. I've been watching the two of you and I just want you to answer the million dollar question that is on everybody's mind here right now, are you taken? Is this lady here your girlfriend?" the guy in the video was saying.

The camera was facing Justin then moved to Lucy, "Tell them what they want to hear" Lucy said with a giggle just as the camera focused back to Justin, "yes, she's my girlfriend."

Then they heard the sound of clapping in the background as the camera moved to the crowd in the restaurant.

"Thank you sir for your time," and the video was cut.

"I think it's true now," Bree commented

“I believe so," Mr Ryder seconded.

"Why would he do that?" Chris asked plopping back into his seat defeated.

Bree shrugged, "maybe we underestimated him, maybe he does feel something for Lucy," she commented.

Robin laughed, they all looked at him surprised, He immediately froze glancing at Bree, and “oh you're serious?"

Bree rolled her eyes.

"I don't understand him, he has to say what he really feels and not tell me one thing and do the next," Chris said his tone sounding betrayed as he stood up and walked up the stairs,

"Where you going?" Bree called out,

"Only Justin can set the record straight," he replied.

Bree sighed as she turned to Robin, "And boys say girls are complicated!" she huffed as Robin chuckled.

**

Justin was just from watching the video when Chris barged in. "can you tell me what the hell you’re doing in here?” he asked throwing the magazine at Justin.

Justin took a look at it and sighed.

"What the hell Justin? You were supposed to end it not mend it."

"Look it's not what it looks like," Justin reassured.

"Really? It looks like you two are now public, the video kind of removes all other doubts I could have possibly had, "Chris replied pacing around Justin's room.

"Okay, so it might be how it looks like,"

"Justin!"

"Look I swear I was going to end things,” he began, ready to explain.

"Really?” Chris mocked.

"I can explain,"

Chris sat down, "You better start because I would really like to hear this," he said leaning in. Justin sat up and sighed, "Okay, so this is what happened" he begun to explain.

**

"I didn’t have the heart to do it then after she explained her past. I, above all people understand the pain of a past. It was pure bad luck that the paparazzi guy was there too. I just couldn't let her go especially in front if all those people and their cameras and after her confession" he muttered his eyes resting on the floor, as he rubbed his fisted hand.

"Justin oh Justin! She played the pity card on you and you fell for it!" Chris spat very disappointed

"What? No,” Justin replied shaking his head.

"The way you explained it sounds staged to me, Justin."

"You're over thinking things, besides how could she possibly have known I was going to break up with her today?"

"Lucky guess, especially with that attitude you've shown her the past week, " Chris replied.

"Even so, she couldn't lie about her past, that would be too risky Chris,"

Chris thought for a moment, "I wouldn't be surprised if she did,"

"What?! How can you even think like that? Its Lucy man, she wouldn't lie like that, " Justin defended looking at Chris like had had lost his mind. Lucy might be a tad bit possessive but she wasn't a bad person.

"The Lucy we used to know, no. However the desperate Lucy I'm seeing now, I wouldn't be so sure,” Chris backed himself.

"Chris, Lucy isn't a bad person," Justin countered standing up.

"She told you she doesn't want to be alone, right?" Chris asked as Justin nodded, “A girl like that could do anything then!"

"Don't say that about her!" Justin fired back now feeling really defensive all of a sudden.

Christ stood up as well, "I know you're not perfect, hell none of us are but something deep inside me is telling me you've made a grave mistake, fatal. I just pray to God that you don't regret it,” Chris replied as he opened the door and stomped out.

Unfortunately God did not honor Chris' request.

---------------------------------------------

Lucy entered Anna's bedroom screaming holding up the Hollywood Scoop magazine in one hand,

"What?! What?!" Anna asked shocked at the sudden outburst so early in the morning.

Lucy showed her the magazine, "you're a genius Anna, a life saver!"

"Justin's Star’s star...” Anna read scanning the magazine cover.

"Yes and that's me and Justin holding hands!" Lucy screeched like an excited toddler.

"Aa, I see Sydney did a good job, cover page," Anna replied still eyeing the cover.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Lucy screamed hugging Anna, "If it wasn't for you this would have never happened."

"You’re welcome, but you know this has shocked me too, I didn't think it would be this big, " Anna commented shuffling through the mag.

"Oh but it is and I have you to thank for that!"

Anna thought for a moment, "but this was just to buy you time, remember that."

"Yes of course," Lucy said lying on the bed, "I can't believe the whole world finally knows I'm his!"

“Oh don't think you’re victorious yet," Anna replied lying next to her

"Yes, of course! Right, what should we do next?"

"Easy, make him fall in love with you, that's the only way to go now," Anna replied

"But how?” Lucy asked facing Anna

"Mmn. You’ll have to get close to him,"

"Close?"

"Yes, get him to tell you his deepest secrets, get more intimate with you, you know,"

Lucy thought for a moment, "Get him to trust me?"

"Precisely..."

"I don't even have a clue on how to do that,"

"Well that's why you got me, I'll help you,"

"I can always count on you,"

"You sure can."

**

Robin entered Justin's room finding him lying on the bed.

"What are you still doing lazing around in bed? You had everyone thinking you were depressed. Aren't you supposed to be happy?"

Justin rolled over, "happy?" He asked gazing at Robin.

"Of course! I mean you have an official girlfriend now! You're supposed to be so happy that you finally have the girl of your dreams," he mocked

Justin faked a smile and rolled over starting at the same ceiling.

Robin shook his head as his action.

"I know what you want to say, so just say it," Justin mumbled

"You do?" Dad asked, "What do I want to say?"

Justin rolled back over and faced his dad, "you want to tell me that I made a mistake, how could I have made things official, I should have broken things with her, and all that."

"Looks like you've been already told that, I wouldn't come all the way here to repeat what you've already heard."

Justin looked at him suspiciously, "then what is it?"

Robin sat on his bed, "son, I don't know what you did or why you did it. All I know is if it's meant to be it will be and none of us can stop it. I told you before I will never judge you or your decisions. Sometimes it's best we make our own decisions so in future we learn from the outcome." He smiled at Justin who was already sitting up in bed, "You can do anything you want to do, but remember you are what your actions portray."

"What do you mean by that?"

Dad laughed, "Okay for an example, if a random person came up to you and told you he was the best car racer in the world would you believe him?"

"Well no, especially if I don't even know him,"

"Correct, but if he invited you to a worldwide tournament and you witnessed him win, would you believe him then?"

"Yes, I saw him win,"

"Exactly, that's the meaning you are what you do and people judge you from that. Never forget that. It works on both sides. Try standing in the side lines of your own life. Think about your actions and how people see you. Then think about the people you let close to you and see their actions. You'll be surprised with what you see.

There two types of people in the world. The rulers and the over ruled. The over ruled live life like normal people. They are the stepped on. Those who just live but aren't alive. They are ruled by others and afraid to take steps of their own.

They are afraid to admit that they are different. They scavenge like rats. Some however have made it in life but they are like puppets. They don't have a mind of their own. They are ruled over by their feelings and not intelligence. Think with their hearts and not mind. They care what others think and hide in shadows. It's sad to say most people are in that category.

On the other hand there are the rulers, they don't like being stepped on. They don't fight to survive, they fight to win. They are not stepped by others or past mistakes. They're the ones that rule the world. They learn from others and take the best advice. They face their demons and slay them. They live like champions, because that is what they are. These are very few in the world but all are successful. Always aim to be a part of them. Never allow yourself to be ruled." He finished as he stood up and walked toward the door.

Justin watched him thoughtfully,

"Oh and Bree wants you packed and ready for the vacation to Michigan," he said then winked and left.

Justin thought about what his dad had said as he pulled the covers over his body. Maybe it was time he stood on the sidelines and examined the people he had let into his life.

-----------------------------------------------------

The rest of the day was dull. Justin came down for lunch but Chris was quiet all through it. Bree kept things spicy by the talk of their wedding in three days.

But Justin still noticed how quiet Chris was being. After lunch Chris was by the poolside, He sat with his legs dipping into the pool, just thinking.

Justin watched him for a moment debating if he should go and talk to him but his heart decided to leave Chris alone.

He was sure on his vacation Chris would warm up to him. So that day passed and the next day they were jetting off on the plane to Michigan.

For the whole trip Chris was silent. Just on his phone or playing games as they sat in the private jet.

Justin watched him silently as his expressions were changing from whatever he was watching on the iPad in front of him.

He sighed. He wasn't used to Chris being so distant from him. He stood up and walked past Chris and sat in a seat behind him.

There he dozed off for the next few hours and slept away from all his worries.

Bree woke him up when they arrived. Dad went out first then Bree and Chris.

Justin was the last.

The moment he stepped out of the plane he shivered strongly.

"It's so cold here...” He said, teeth chattering as he descended from the plane.

"Well this is Michigan, son," Dad replied as they entered into their hired limo. Justin was still shivering.

"Oh I came prepared," Bree said seeing the shivers coming out from Justin's body,

"Here," she said handing everyone a thick a coat. "This will keep us warm," she said as they all wore them.

Justin was rubbing his hands together, "Why does it have to be so cold?" He muttered

"If you're complaining about this, wait till we reach where were going, it's already snowing there, " Robin replied with a chuckle.

"More cold?" Chris asked as he put his hands in his jacket.

"Way more," Dad replied.

Well Bree was right. When they arrived at their destination there was snow everywhere." You rented a villa?" Chris asked as they drove in.

"Well yes," Robin replied.

"It's just the four of us, A villa for what?"

"Who said it was just the four of us?" Bree asked as she opened the door.

"Hello every one! The brides arrived!" She called out. A head peeped out.

"Oh my God Bree!" A lady screamed, "Julie!" Brie replied.

The woman ran hugging her then hugging there dad, "Guys their here!" She called out.

"What!" A voice called out.

A gang of people came out, kissing them, hugging them.

"Hi Aunt Joe!" Bree called out to an elder woman. "My Bree!" She said hugging her.

"Uncle Wilbert," she said hugging a taller gentleman. They were lots of introductions. There were white and blacks mixed all together. An elderly brown skinned woman walked into their midst and the mob made way for her. She hugged Bree then she looked at dad, "hey Robin," she said hugging him really hard smiling "Hey mum," he replied smiling sadly as he hugged her tight,

"I'm glad to see you're finally moving on," she said. "I hope this girl will make you happy," she said pinching Bree playfully.

"Of course mum, I'll make sure he never frowns again," she said locking his arms in hers. The elderly woman smiled. "I guess these must be my new grandsons," she said looking at Chris and Justin.

Robin nodded, Introducing them, "well I'm your grandma, "she said to them…"you can call me granny Holly, give me a hug." She said to the both of them as they both gave her a hug.

Then the rest of the family welcomed them.

They were a lot of elderly people which Chris and Justin later found out where Bree's aunts and uncles and their children and her cousins. Then to the black family was there Dad's family which consisted of a mothers and some cousins and their children. All in all they were quite a lot,

"Hey Justin!" A voice called out. Justin stretched his neck to see who was calling him.

It was Humphrey, Justin smiled as he and Chris made their way to him, they found the rest of the crew, "what, y'all are here too?" He asked

"You didn't think we would miss Bree and Mr Ryder's wedding, did you?"

Chris laughed, "When did you guys arrive?"

"Yesterday," Beats replied, "and I have to tell you that you two have a big family."

"I'm as shocked as you," George put in.

Justin looked around, "where's Lucy?" He asked.

"Oh she's around, with the other girls. Probably in the kitchen,"

"There are girls here?" Chris asked

"Yeah and they are hot!" Humphrey added, "But your aunt Julie, Bree's sister said we weren't allowed near the kitchen, so here we are."

"You're sure their pretty because I don't trust your judgment," Chris asked unconvinced.

"You don't need to because you already have Britney" Humphrey backed.

"Burn!" Beats laughed Humphrey and the others joined in, Justin smiling the hardest.

"Well don't you try to flirt, Justin," Chris said, "Because you got Lucy," he reminded.

Justin's smile immediately faded as he looked at Chris in a really? You're bringing this up now? Way.

“Okay peeps, there's nothing to argue about, besides they're all your family," Beats added a little surprised it was even an issue.

"Hey boys!" Julie called out to them, they all turned to look at her, "let me show you your rooms," she offered.

They caught up with her and followed her up stairs. "As you can see my nephews, the villas fully booked so you two will have to share a room." She replied as they walked in.

"Freshen up and come down because suppers almost ready," she said closing the door.

They found there luggage in the room and started to unpack. Justin noticed that Chris was awkwardly quiet.

Justin sighed, “I know you're mad at me," he said aloud

"Mad? I'm not mad," Chris replied not even bothering looking at Justin.

"Then why aren't you talking to me?"

Chris didn't answer.

"Look, I explained what happened to you, I don't need this right now. This is the time I need you to support and not neglect me!" Justin yelled.

Chris didn't answer.

Justin tuned him around harshly, "what's wrong with you?" He asked angrily.

This was so frustrating.

Chris sighed, "What do you want me to say?"

"Nothing I just want you to be you, the Chris that always was there for me. You promised me that!"

"And I am. Am here right now! Look I've done all I can for you and I don't know what to say anymore. I can see and I sense that you have made a big mistake and I can't stick around and watch your downfall!" He said as he left and walked away.

Justin kicked the bed and sat on it in total frustration.

After a few moments he went down for dinner.

They were quite a lot so they were separated the older people from the younger ones.

Justin's and Chris' nieces kept looking at them wondering why they had to be related to cute boys like them.

But Justin was focused on Chris all through that evening, even after supper.

Lucy was ANGRY.

Angry, that Justin hadn't even bothered to greet her yet but this was not about her.

After supper the big family were telling stories and talking. Justin was still shivering from the cold, but he hardly realized it.

Chris not talking to him made him feel he had just been abandoned by the person he counted on most in the world.

He noticed Chris get up and walk away from the family gathering.

He followed Chris up the stairs. "Chris!" He called out as Chris climbed the stairs.

Chris paused and looked back at him, "what Justin?" He asked.

Justin was still shivering. "I-I know I've d-disappointed y-you, b-but I don't want this to affect," He stopped. He felt a sharp pain his head.

"I don't want this to affect...” He failed to finish as he touched his head.

It felt like a million swords had just pierced his skull "affect what, goddamn it!" Chris replied clearly fed up, wishing Justin would stop wasting his Time.

"-I-I know your disappointed in me, b-but please d-don't, " Justin felt like someone had stolen his air.

He couldn't breathe anymore. He looked around him.

The world started spinning, his expression changing,

"Justin!" Chris shouted rushing to the figure that lay on the floor, not moving at all.
