TWENTY NINE- DATE? YES DATE
The days seemed to have rolled on a snail pace. Maybe because I was too excited about saturday.I don't know and to me right now, that's not even important
Okay, what's important to me is that,the freaking saturday was today and I had to get my hair and makeup done before four p.m.my mum wasn't back and I already informed kelechi and Uju about me going out with dozie.
An unfamiliar car sound, hooted continuously in an impatient manner.I groaned at whosoever must be the driver.what's that person's deal anyway
" Mimi check the gate" Uju called out from the kitchen
I raised my eyebrows, i don't think mum is back.she said she'll be back on sunday and even if she's back today, she doesn't horn like that impatient douche.
Yeah..whosoever it was, is a douche
I wore my black bathing robe and left the hair rollers on my hair. I had been trying to curl out my relaxed hair.then with the white face mask which I had on my face, I stepped out gingerly to see the douche
" Freaking Moses!! "I yelled.my voice was laced with shock and excitement at the same time, my bewildered expression never leaving my face.
staring at the dude in front of me who was sporting a white polo with a blue checkered tee-shirt, a ripped blue jean and a white Addis trainers to complete the look.his hair was neatly cut in a way to frame his ever perfect face. sometimes, I couldn't help but wonder, how he had to look so perfect, so hot and so gorgeous.
He was leaning on a sleek black car,grinning at me.I faked a scowl at him
" you said,you'll come by four?"I asked with my hands wrapped around my bosom
" I just couldn't be that patient" he replied with a pout
" oh see who's getting all excited" I teased smirking and he snickered,flicking his index fingers on my temples
" as if you don't like it too"I scowled
"Ouch! dozie" I called, giving him a stink eye.he chuckled
" oya, goan dress up."
" lemme joor " I whined making him chuckle a little more. I turned back inside the house, when I remembered I haven't even checked the person who was honking impatiently
I turned back, straining my eyes a little. "did you see the person who was honking ?"I asked cluelessly
Dozie sighed, he fixed his hands in his pocket and stared at me with a bemused expression, finally he spoke up
" chin chin..I know you're not blind yet.at least it can't be today" he said smirking
I raised my eyebrows at him "so what's your point? "
He softly tapped the bonnet of the car behind him "my point is this"
My eyes widened at the realisation. I stared at him in disbelief "don't tell me, you were the person "
" I'm not the person" he replied and I eyed him
" be serious nau.."
" you just said I shouldn't tell you..anyway "I snorted and he rolled into a fit of laughter, shoving me inside
" hey! Just go get dressed.I'll tell you how i got to drive today " he said when he noticed the curious look creasing on my face.
I sighed in resignation as we both got into my house.kelechi sat in one of the cushion, so I just had to excuse myself to get dressed while they guys seemed to roll into a conversation.
" wow! Look at you!! " that exclamation came from Uju who just stepped inside the room. "Your boo 's gonna be trippin' by the time he sees this simple yet gorgeous babe standin' in front of him " she gushed, staring at my cornflower blue gown which was a bit flare below my knees.it had a cut-shoulder hand and pocket at each sides.
I matched the outfit with a pair of white Addis trainers and a small black crossbag.my already curled hair was left to fall at my shoulders and a nude, neatly done makeover graced my facial looks.on my neck was a black choker and pair earrings of simple earrings adorned my both ears.
I smiled in appreciation as Uju kept gushing over and over about my outfit.
"Thanks sis..i'll get going now "I said
"Wait..wait ooh.I noticed something about you today "she said in an amebo-activated gist mode
I rolled my eyes at her "that is?"
"You didn't deny today, that he was your boyfriend when I said your 'boo'" she replied and I laughed
" lemme abeg...i'll talk later...I mean it's a long story"I replied and she broke into a loud laugh
" you see what I was talking about...las las it has happened " she said still laughing. I shook my head at her and headed to the sitting room.

"Fucking moses !"dozie exclaimed with his jaws dropped as his eyes roamed around my body, checking me out with eyes filled with admiration. kelechi was grinning widely. Probably with pride as the both of them checked me out.
I smiled " what!?"
" you look drop-dead gorgeous.I could kiss you right now " he replied still with the dazed expression on his face.
I felt my cheeks grow warm as he complimented, his words seemed to melt every single wall in me, I grinned happily.
"Thank you. You don't look bad either"I replied and he cocked his head
"Oh c'mon! I look hot too" he replied and I rolled my eyes, laughing
"Cocky idiot"
"Your cocky idiot"he replied winking
"Can I kiss you? "He asked. As much as I wanted to say yes,who wouldn't love to be kissed .I just had to make a little more shakara
I titled my head to one side " no kissing baby " I replied in a singsong voice, sashaying past him.
He gripped my wrist abit firmly, pulling me closer to him till I could hear both of us hearts, beating erratically. His scent was intoxicating and it was doing things with every of my nerve cells, So fucking good
" i'll have to steal it anyway "he replied, his voice came out hoarse and I could feel my insides melting softly, my knees were already growing weak as his minty breath fanned my neck gently
Oh meera why punish yourself already_my subconscious chided and for once, I gave in to my instincts
His thumb brushed against my lower lips making me gulp in excitement. He was staring heatdly at me,while I tried holding his burning gaze for a moment. My eyes trailed down to his lips which looked so tempting, so inviting.
I bit my lower lips gently. Trailing my eyes back to his' .his eyes held so many emotions laced in them.the feeling of warmth, admiration.they made my adrenaline race erratically.waves of excitement rushed through me as he leaned in closer, pressing a his lips on mine.he cupped my chin gently as I parted my lips letting a moan.
" _Okay people.. I'm still here yunno..meera..you have grown shebi " kelechi teased, as we reluctantly pulled apart while I scowled at kelechi
"Chaii..I should really get a boyfriend jare...I can't harass my eyes any longer. Not after seeing both of you get all cute with each other" Uju muttered, loud enough for us to hear and we laughed again
" lil'sis you're beautiful..I admit " kelechi complimented
"Like you had a choice"I retorted with a smirk while dozie laughed
"Okay..I think it's high time we got going"I said, lacing our hands in between each other
" take it easy ooh.."Uju called out.
" ...and um..dozie..I'm letting you date my kid sis cause i think you are cool. And as you can see.she amazingly, annoyingly the cutest person ever" kelechi said with a serious look "but I'll tell you something, if you try hurting her.." he lowered his voice in a threatening manner
" i'll make sure you eat your ashes that day "kelechi concluded, making me too shudder at the thought. I glanced at dozie who had a confident look on his face
"Trust me..i'll never do that..I can't even think of it "he replied and kelechi nodded with a more friendly look
" better...you guys look good together" he added and i smiled happily
" shall we ?"dozie asked, he had a happy grin on his face
" yes we shall" I replied as we both stepped out of the house together.

I stared at the sleek black car in front of us.letting my stare wander from the car to dozie.the douche, my douche.
Okay. Seriously Meera Johnson? Now he's your douche.damn !! My subconscious teased.
I bit my lips to avoid laughing,so I don't get to change the topic.besides the topic was me asking how that car got to my house with dozie.
"Okay..I had to borrow it from my dad.even though he's not around, I told the driver anyway that I was going to use it " he explained
I raised my eyebrows at him with a deep sigh "are you trying to get us killed. Mr Dozie Mattews? "
He face-palmed himself "NO...I'm only driving"
Honestly, I don't know if it's a good idea since I never knew that dozie could drive a car.I mean I still want to live.
Like who doesn't?
" fine..but if I die...I swear it...." my voice trailed off as he laughed
"C'mon...trust me "
I snorted "yeah yeah..let's just hope to come back alive "
We walked to the other side of the front seat, he held the door open for me.I smiled
"Aww..such a gentleman"
"And such a doubting Thomas"he retorted and I sneered
"It's not your fault anyways.."
" did you notice something btw?"he asked as soon as we got settled inside the car.
We both glanced at ourselves,with a huge grin resting on our faces
"We wore matching shoes !" The both of us chorused as we laughed when we realized what we just did.
" damn!! And we both wore blue today"I said
" i know right..were you stalking me?"he asked playfully and I laughed. Swiping my arms across his shoulders
"No..you stalked me.."
" stalker! "He said in a singsong tone as I laughed
" where we going? "
" a picnic"
"Picnic?" I asked and he grinned
"Yup.."
"Is that why you got the car?"
He smiled at me, playfully patting my hair "finally! You're smart"
I snorted "idiot"
"Your idiot "he replied making me grin
"We should get hats and sunglasses too"I suggested. He smiled in response and with that, swerved the car Into action, with zedd ft Alessia cara_stay.playing on the radio.
Dozie's
As cliche and cheesy this may sound, trust me when I say today was the best day of my life..I was never this excited and happy for a long time now.until she came and I knew that I didn't just find a friend cause Meera was worth more than a thousand friends. I have never looked forward to a day like I did today.it felt like I was in my own imagination all this while.
Except the gorgeous girl bouncing around the boutique mall with her hands laced in mine was the only thing that countered my thoughts about me still imagining things.she had been practically sizing up every hat and sunglasses. We decided to get ourselves matching stuffs too..apart from the hat though.
I must have sounded like a married man.but dang!! It is what it is
And speaking about marriage, I still don't get why meera and I are standing in front of a bridal wear doing? I glanced at Meera who had a huge beautiful smile on her face.
Everything about her was just amazingly beautiful and gorgeous
"Okay..umm..I hope it's not what you're thinking ?"I asked and she chuckled, pulling me along
" it's what I'm thinking. Now lets go" she replied. Approaching the sales rep.I don't know how she did it, but she had successfully managed to convince the sales rep that we are getting married and we needed to tryout wedding dresses
"Meera..this can't be happening"I said totally flushed as she handed a black tuxedo to me
" it's already happening. Just go in and wear that while I change " she whined going into the dressing room.
Minutes later, we were staring at each other with our jaws dropping.
" wow!!" I exclaimed, staring at meera who had the white flowing gown looking glamorous on her.she smiled
"You look amazing. Just when I thought I've seen it all "she replied and i chuckled
"I told you...I'm a hot cake "I bragged teasingly as she smirked
" hot cake ni.hot moi-moi ko" she replied and i felt my lips stretched into a smile. We had taken a picture together in the wedding dresses,before leaving. Though meera had tipped the lady as her reward for letting us do tryouts.
A girl on fox jeans and a vintage shirt had accidentally bumped into me, making her stuffs fall on the ground. I guess she wasn't looking cause she had her eyes fixed on her phone.
"Ooh I'm sorry"she said apologetically as she crouched down to pick her stuffs. I helped her in picking them up and just when I was about handing them back, I stared in suprise at the girl.
" hey D"she called feeling elated.I glanced at meera who had her sunglasses worn on the bridge of her nose as she peered at the girl with a displeased look.I knew any moment from now, meera was going to get really impatient
" hey Fay...it's been a long while "I said with a small smile
"You didn't bother to call after the party.I felt bad about that..besides when I tried calling you, you no.was unavailable " she said
"I'm sorry_"I was starting to say when meera cut me off.lacing her arms protectively around mine.I smirked
" _ that's right..he's totally unavailable" she replied with sass.fay stared at meera, taking in her appearance. While she tried holding up a fake smile with meera who had her lips twisted in a smirk
" hey..Meera! I'm sorry, I didn't know you were here "she greeted as meera shrugged nonchalantly
" it's okay..but we just don't have time now to buzz around "she replied with an innocently evil smirk
Fay gulped uncomfortably "umm..why don't we three just grab lunch instead, since we're here ?"she said
Meera huffed "that would be nice miss Fay, but dozie and I are here on a date."she replied, fay looked stunned
"Date?"
"Yes.date"I replied. While meera rolled her eyes.fay gave a small smile which was clearly fake.
" umm...cool" she said stuttering "that's cool..have a lovely day "she replied
Meera smiled "and you too.hope your day would be pleasant as you "she replied, i glanced at Fay's downcast expression.for a minute I felt bad for her
Well, that was bad.fay may have taken ot the wrong way but sincerely, I really didn't want to have anything to do with her.it was just flirting.
I glanced at Meera to see her walking infont of me with a paranoid expression.
" hey Meera!"I called out as she snapped
"Don't meera me..Fay....yeah yen yen " she said hissing and I smirked
"Are you jealous? "
She stopped abruptly, turning to me as she opened her mouth in a fake gasp
" Never"she spat and I laughed
" you're not a good liar"i teasesd, pulling her towards me.
"C'mon let's go have an ice cream"I said.
